Chapter 246: Chapter 246: Galloping Horses!

”Hmph, am I, the War Emperor, not able to tame you, this wild horse?”

Xiao Yifeng snorted coldly, exuding a terrifying aura that enveloped the black horse with a frightening murderous intent.

Likewise sentient, the black horse’s eyes flickered with anthropomorphic fear upon sensing the dreadful killing intent from Xiao Yifeng, and its violent nature was immediately suppressed by him.

”Go!”

Xiao Yifeng squeezed his legs together, yanked on the reins, and with a cold shout, the black horse dashed off like an untamed steed.

The horse tamers and Zheng Shaodong at the equestrian center all exhibited shocked expressions upon witnessing this scene. Had this fellow actually tamed the horse?

Although the horse was volatile and fierce, difficult for the average person to control, Xiao Yifeng was no average man.

As the War Emperor, unrivaled in the Western Mercenary World, his overwhelming murderous intent was sufficient to completely subdue the black horse’s ferocity, making it obediently listen to him.

And so, Xiao Yifeng galloped wildly on the black horse across the grassy field of the equestrian center, reveling in the unrestrained, thundering joy of horseback riding. What a feeling of elation!

However, when Xiao Yifeng turned his head and saw Qiu Yuying standing there, a devilish glint flashed in his eyes. He promptly pulled on the reins, and the black horse charged towards Qiu Yuying.

As the black horse rushed over, Qiu Yuying’s complexion changed, and a hint of panic flashed in her eyes.

”Be careful!” Zheng Shaodong yelled out hurriedly, yet he himself retreated backward.

Xiao Yifeng rode the black horse up to Qiu Yuying, reached out a hand, and grasped her hand at once.

”Come up!”

With that, Xiao Yifeng swung his hand, and in one smooth motion, Qiu Yuying leapt onto the black horse, riding close behind Xiao Yifeng.

Xiao Yifeng’s hands passed around Qiu Yuying’s waist, and with a flick of the reins, the black horse galloped off.

”Damn it!”

Seeing this, Zheng Shaodong’s face turned exceptionally ugly. He had intended to make Xiao Yifeng look foolish, but not only did he fail to embarrass Xiao Yifeng, he also inadvertently provided him the opportunity to flirt.

Watching the intimate posture of Xiao Yifeng and Qiu Yuying riding together on one horse, Zheng Shaodong ground his teeth in anger.

This scene, which he had fantasized about sharing with Qiu Yuying, now featured Xiao Yifeng as the protagonist, which infuriated him to the point of feeling like spitting blood.

At that moment, Qiu Yuying finally came back to her senses, realizing she was sitting on the horse, leaning against Xiao Yifeng’s chest, and her face revealed a hint of blush and nervousness.

”Xiao YiFeng, what are you doing?”

”Manager Qiu, today I will let you experience the thrill of racing a horse!”

Xiao Yifeng laughed heartily, speeding up the black horse, frightening Qiu Yuying into screaming.

”Don’t worry, I will protect you, nothing will happen to you, just enjoy it!”

Xiao Yifeng leaned in and whispered into Qiu Yuying’s ear, his warm breaths tingling her ear and causing her face to redden even more.

Hearing Xiao Yifeng’s exceptionally gentle words, Qiu Yuying’s heart quivered, touched by a tender sensation, which made her tense heart relax.

As if the man behind her was her rock, providing her with a powerful sense of security, a feeling she found somewhat endearing.

With her mind at ease, Qiu Yuying began to enjoy the exhilaration of galloping freely, living the essence of youth.

She slowly spread out her arms, closed her eyes gently, and savored the pleasure of the Breezy Wind caressing her face, relaxing entirely as her soul seemed to ascend.

Meanwhile, Xiao Yifeng’s hands had released the reins and were now embracing Qiu Yuying in a scene reminiscent of ’Titanic,’ creating an incredibly beautiful and moving picture.

However, this image filled Zheng Shaodong’s eyes with jealousy and venom.

After enjoying the sensation, Qiu Yuying opened her eyes, only to realize that Xiao Yifeng’s hands were wrapped around her, their bodies pressed tightly together, causing her face to turn red instantly.

”What are you doing, why have you let go of the reins? Aren’t you afraid of an accident? Let go of me right now!”

Qiu Yuying hastily spoke.

”Don’t you find this feeling quite romantic?”

A mischievous smile emerged on Xiao Yifeng’s lips.

”Romantic? I’m not your girlfriend!”

Qiu Yuying said somewhat coquettishly, her cheeks flushed and her eyes shy, yet her heart was harbouring a strange thought.

”If only he wasn’t Ya Xin’s fiancé, how great that would be!”

No sooner had this thought surfaced than Qiu Yuying was startled by it and hastily dismissed it—how could she entertain such an idea?

”Come on, let’s take a picture!”

Suddenly, Xiao Yifeng took out his cellphone with his left hand, switched to the selfie mode, and snapped a photo of their current state.

In the photo, Xiao Yifeng was leaning on Qiu Yuying’s head, both of them on horseback, bodies close together, looking like an affectionate pair of lovers.

”Why are you even taking pictures? Delete it quickly!” Qiu Yuying urged.

”It’s just a memento, no worries. It’s not like this is a ’nude’ photo of you, what’s there to fear?”

Xiao Yifeng laughed and put away his phone.

”What ’nude’ photo, what are you talking about?”

”If that’s the case, what are you afraid of with just a picture? Could it be that you’re worried about your good sister getting the wrong idea?”

Xiao Yifeng whispered in Qiu Yuying’s ear, his breath hot, making her ear tickle and her heart chaotic, unsure of how to respond.

”Let me down quickly.” In order to prevent herself from thinking nonsensically, Qiu Yuying said in a hurry.

Xiao Yifeng gave a gentle smile, brought the black horse to a halt, leaped down first, and then firmly grasped Qiu Yuying by the hand.

Qiu Yuying flipped down from the horse and was caught in a princess hold by Xiao Yifeng.

”Put me down.”

Qiu Yuying’s face was flushed red as she struggled down from Xiao Yifeng’s embrace.

At this moment, Xiao Yifeng’s gaze shifted to Zheng Shaodong, and he said with a smile, ”Now, isn’t it Mr. Zheng’s turn to show off your horseback riding skills?”

”Of course!”

Zheng Shaodong responded with a sullen expression. Although his eagerness to ride a horse had diminished, having said he would, he felt obliged to do so.

Zheng Shaodong walked toward the brown horse he had chosen, which seemed quite docile.

Xiao Yifeng approached the horse, gently patted its head, and said:

”Mr. Zheng, you might want to be careful when you ride it, don’t fall off the horse, that wouldn’t look good.”

”Don’t worry, that’s impossible.”

Zheng Shaodong said confidently, for this horse was the most docile in the entire riding club, never having caused a guest to fall, and he surely didn’t believe he would fall off.

Zheng Shaodong grabbed the reins and, placing one foot in the stirrup, vaulted onto the horse, taking his seat atop it.

Soon, Zheng Shaodong was galloping on the lawn, displaying quite skilled horsemanship.

”Get ready to dial 120.”

Xiao Yifeng walked over to Qiu Yuying’s side and spoke indifferently.
