Chapter 245: Chapter 245: The Fierce Horse

Sales Department, inside Qiu Yuying’s office, Xiao Yifeng walked in and saw Qiu Yuying with a tight frown, looking somewhat unwell.

”Manager Qiu, you don’t seem to be looking so well,” Xiao Yifeng asked.

”Being pestered by that Zheng Shaodong every day is driving me crazy.”

Qiu Yuying complained with a look of helplessness.

”That guy really is persistent, still bothering you. Do you want me to give him a beating?” Xiao Yifeng said with a curl of his lip.

”What can you do besides hit people?”

Qiu Yuying glared at Xiao Yifeng.

”I can also pick up girls!” Xiao Yifeng’s eyes revealed a hint of roguish charm.

”Hooligan!”

Qiu Yuying gave Xiao Yifeng a white look and said, ”This afternoon he invited me to go horseback riding at the equestrian club again, and I want you to accompany me.”

”If you don’t want to go, just refuse him outright.”

”I can’t do that, he is now the representative for the cooperation between Qian Corporation and our Ye Family, and also the vice president of Qian Corporation’s branch in Tianhai.”

”If I don’t go along with his ideas, and he starts causing trouble, the cooperation could fall through, which would cause a great loss for the Ye Family. I can’t do that.”

Qiu Yuying shook her head as she spoke.

”Looks like that guy has got your number and knows exactly how to exploit it. Alright, I’ll go with you.”

”We absolutely can’t allow a fresh flower like you to be stuck in a pile of cow dung, that would be a sheer waste,” Xiao Yifeng declared earnestly.

Qiu Yuying let out a chuckle, looking at Xiao Yifeng with an odd glint in her eyes:

”Why do I have the feeling that our president is the fresh flower that’s stuck on your pile of cow dung?”

”How could I be considered cow dung? I should be fertilizer, the kind that makes flowers bloom even more radiantly.”

”Moreover, I have a lot of that fertilizer. Just one president as a fresh flower isn’t enough; Manager Qiu, you could also take a spot.”

Xiao Yifeng looked at Qiu Yuying with a smile yet received a spit from her.

At three o’clock in the afternoon, Xiao Yifeng followed Qiu Yuying to a large equestrian club and entered under the guidance of the staff.

Upon walking into the club, they saw several fine horses galloping across a vast lawn, a sight quite spectacular to behold.

”Yuying, you’re here!”

At that moment, a gentle voice sounded. Zheng Shaodong, wearing riding attire, approached, looking at Qiu Yuying with a smile.

However, when he saw Xiao Yifeng, his expression changed slightly, revealing some displeasure.

”Mr. Xiao is here too!”

”Of course. Hearing that Mr. Zheng invited our manager for horseback riding, and considering that I also quite enjoy it, I thought I’d join the fun. Surely Mr. Zheng wouldn’t refuse,” Xiao Yifeng said with a smile.

”Since Mr. Xiao is here, let’s all have fun together,” Zheng Shaodong said, a trace of darkness flashing in his eyes.

”Mr. Xiao, since you too enjoy riding, how about I select a horse for you? We can both show Yuying a demonstration of our horsemanship,” Zheng Shaodong suddenly proposed.

”No problem, since I can ride horses but not choose them, I’ll leave it to Mr. Zheng to pick one for me,” Xiao Yifeng said nonchalantly.

The three followed the equestrian club’s staff to the paddock, where there were dozens of different breeds of horses.

”Mr. Xiao, how about this horse? It is the most precious one in this club, and I think it suits you well!” Zheng Shaodong pointed to a tall black horse with a glossy coat and said to Xiao Yifeng. The horse’s eyes flashed violently, revealing its wildness.

”It does look pretty good,” Xiao Yifeng approached and stretched out his hand to touch the horse.

The horse let out a piercing neigh, its large, bell-like eyes glinting with a fierce aura as they glared at Xiao Yifeng, exuding an untamed aura.

”This horse seems a bit fierce!” Qiu Yuying’s face changed slightly.

”Sir, this horse is the most fiery and hardest to tame in our stable. It has a fierce temperament, and ordinary people simply cannot manage it.”

”Only our professional horse tamers can handle it. It has already injured several guests before. Mr. Xiao, for your safety, I think it’s best to choose another horse.”

At this time, an employee of the riding club spoke to Xiao Yifeng.

”Xiao Yifeng, let’s choose another horse to ride.”

Upon hearing the stable staff’s words, Qiu Yuying quickly turned to Xiao Yifeng.

”Mr. Xiao, I apologize. I didn’t know this horse was so fiery. If Mr. Xiao is afraid to ride it, I can choose a more docile horse for you. Otherwise, it won’t be good if something happens to you.”

Zheng Shaodong said apologetically.

”No need, this horse will do!”

A sharp glint flashed in Xiao Yifeng’s eyes as he looked at the wild horse in front of him, while Zheng Shaodong’s face revealed a triumphant expression, his lips curling into a cold smile.

”Have you lost your mind, Xiao Yifeng? Didn’t you hear that this horse has injured several people? Do you want to get injured too?”

Qiu Yuying looked at Xiao Yifeng, completely unable to understand what he was thinking.

”Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”

Xiao Yifeng appeared completely relaxed, showing no sign of fear.

”Hmph, suit yourself. If something happens, don’t blame me for not warning you.”

Seeing Xiao Yifeng’s demeanor, Qiu Yuying felt a surge of frustration and snorted coldly.

Zheng Shaodong, watching Qiu Yuying’s concerned expression towards Xiao Yifeng, wore a somewhat sinister look, his eyes flickering with a cold light.

”Kid, you’re going to learn your lesson.”

Zheng Shaodong’s eyes swept over Xiao Yifeng with a cold gaze.

The group changed into professional riding gear, and the black horse as well as the horse chosen by Zheng Shaodong were led out by two stable horse tamers.

”Mr. Xiao, would you like to go first, or should I?” Zheng Shaodong asked Xiao Yifeng.

”I’ll go first.”

Xiao Yifeng said and walked up to the black horse with a fierce nature, exuding a ferocious temperament.

”Easy there, little horse!”

Xiao Yifeng gently stroked the black horse’s mane, which responded with another neigh, shaking its head to toss Xiao Yifeng’s hand away.

”Xiao Yifeng, you should choose another horse.”

Qiu Yuying looked at Xiao Yifeng, her face full of worry.

”Yuying, we should have faith in Mr. Xiao. Perhaps he can work a miracle and tame this horse.”

Zheng Shaodong spoke with a somewhat schadenfreude tone.

Qiu Yuying’s eyes flashed with a look of disgust as she glanced at Zheng Shaodong. She was no fool.

She could naturally see that Zheng Shaodong had likely chosen this fierce horse for Xiao Yifeng on purpose, just to make him look ridiculous.

”Deputy Director Zheng, please refer to me as Miss Qiu or Manager Qiu in the future. Our relationship is only professional, and we’re not close enough for you to address me so familiarly.” Qiu Yuying said coldly.

”Yes, I apologize, Manager Qiu!”

Zheng Shaodong said, nodding his head, a hint of chill flashing in his eyes.

Hiss hiss!!

At that moment, Xiao Yifeng stepped onto the saddle and sat atop the black horse.

Suddenly, the black horse let out a series of neighs, its front hooves lifted violently, its body shaking as if to throw Xiao Yifeng off.

”Be careful!” Qiu Yuying immediately called out upon seeing this, her expression filled with tension.
