Chapter 244: Chapter 244: Trying to Steal a Chicken But End Up Losing the Rice

”Minister Wang, are you trying to destroy the evidence?”

With an extension of his hand, Xiao Yifeng lifted Wang Meng’s body and flung it to the side, his eyes then turned to Yuu Li and her companion:

”We already know about the two of you colluding with Minister Wang to frame Dahu and Erhu. Thank you for your honest answers.”

”What? I...”

Suddenly, their faces changed, showing a look of utter bewilderment; they had yet to grasp what was happening.

”President, the situation is now quite clear. Isn’t it time for you to make a decision? With Minister Wang, a corporate manager, openly colluding with employees to frame other staff members, if this is not handled properly, it could greatly impact Ye Corporation.”

The corners of Xiao Yifeng’s mouth held a hint of a smile as he looked at Ye Yaxin.

Ye Yaxin’s eyes flickered slightly as she turned her gaze toward Yuu Li and rebuked in a stern voice, ”Yuu Li, is what you just said true? Did Minister Wang threaten the two of you to frame these two security guards?”

”President, I...” Yuu Li’s complexion turned several shades, clearly uncertain of how to respond.

”It seems you’re considering a visit to the police station.”

Xiao Yifeng swept his gaze over Yuu Li with an intimidating stare, and she, trembling, quickly said:

”It was all Minister Wang’s doing; it has nothing to do with us. Please, President, spare us this one time.”

”President, they...” Wang Meng was about to say something when Ye Yaxin interrupted him.

With an ice-cold demeanor and radiating an authoritative presence, Ye Yaxin stared at Wang Meng, ”Wang Meng, as the head of the security department, you committed such a despicable and vile act. You have simply disgraced the Ye Family.”

”Now, in my capacity as President, I officially announce that, effective immediately, you are relieved of your position as head of the security department, and your contract with us is terminated. Leave Ye Corporation at once, and never be employed here again.”

”As for these two women, since they were coerced, they will have a month’s wages deducted as a penalty. If anyone commits such acts in the future, I, Ye Yaxin, will never forgive them.”

”Thank you, President, thank you!”

Yuu Li and the male employee expressed their gratitude, while Wang Meng’s face turned as ugly as if he had eaten excrement, slumped to the ground, his expression ashen.

”Please give me another chance, President!”

Unwilling to accept the outcome, Wang Meng looked at Ye Yaxin and pleaded for mercy.

”You have no more chances. Leave Ye Corporation at once, and never set foot here again,” Ye Yaxin said coldly, her eyes filled with repulsion.

”Ye Manager, Young Master Ye, please give me your help, beg for mercy on my behalf!”

Wang Meng then turned his gaze to Ye Tianchen, who stood by with a flickering look in his eyes and a somewhat sullen expression, ignoring Wang Meng.

Seeing that Ye Tianchen ignored him, a flash of anger crossed Wang Meng’s eyes, and he pointed at Ye Tianchen and shouted:

”Damn you, Ye Tianchen, it was you who told me to do all this. Now when trouble arises, you refuse to help me. Are you even human?”

Wang Meng’s words caused everyone, who had already pieced everything together, to change their expressions once more. Could there be another mastermind behind the scenes?

And this mastermind was Ye Tianchen, the Ye Family’s Young Master? How could this be?

Both Ye Yaxin and Xiao Yifeng turned their attention to Ye Tianchen. His face in shock, he then pointed at Wang Meng, filled with rage:

”You bastard, what nonsense are you spouting? What does any of this have to do with me? Are you a mad dog biting randomly? Someone, drag this bastard out immediately!”

”Ye Tianchen, you orchestrated all of this, didn’t you? You took your anger out on Xiao Yifeng’s people just to get at him,”

Wang Meng, at this moment, also didn’t hold back and spilled everything. Instantly, the company’s employees started to talk again, and Ye Tianchen was so angry he wished he could rush up and shut this bastard’s mouth.

”Somebody, get him out of here!”

Ye Tianchen yelled loudly, and subsequently, a few security guards stepped forward and dragged Wang Meng away.

”President, please believe me, I have nothing to do with this; it’s all Wang Meng biting wildly like a mad dog,” Ye Tianchen said to Ye Yaxin, trying to explain.

”Come to my office later,” Ye Yaxin said coldly, her gaze sweeping over the others:

”This matter is now closed. I forbid anyone from discussing it further, or else you’ll all be packing up and leaving,” she warned sternly.

The employees dispersed, and at that time, Xiao Yifeng addressed Ye Yaxin, ”President, since the department head has been dismissed, shouldn’t you select a new one?”

Ye Yaxin glanced at Xiao Yifeng and then looked at Dahu and Erhu, ”Are you suggesting one of these two become department head?”

”Of course not, they’ve only just joined the company; they can’t handle such a high position. Now that the head is gone, naturally the deputy should take over,” Xiao Yifeng stated calmly.

Xiao Yifeng’s words took He Li, the deputy head of security who had been silent up until now, by surprise, rendering him somewhat stupefied.

Ye Yaxin’s eyes settled on He Li, and after a moment of contemplation, she said, ”He Li, as of today, you are the head of Ye Corporation’s security department. Manage the security department well, ensure the company’s safety, and let there be no repeats of today’s incident.”

”Yes, President, I will not let you down,”

He Li said excitedly.

Afterward, Ye Yaxin and others left the area, and then He Li turned to Xiao Yifeng and said, ”Thank you, Mr. Xiao, for your support.”

”You’re much more pleasant to deal with than that Wang Meng. In the future, my two brothers will be following you; I hope you won’t let them down,” Xiao Yifeng said with a smile as he looked at He Li.

”Yes, Mr. Xiao, you can rest assured!”

He Li nodded repeatedly, his eyes filled with respect for Xiao Yifeng.

Inside Ye Yaxin’s office, Ye Tianchen stood with his head lowered before her.

”Big sister, this...” Ye Tianchen began, trying to speak, but she interrupted him.

”Enough, say no more. Regardless of whether or not you orchestrated this, I’ll overlook it for grandpa’s and your second uncle’s sakes, but I don’t want there to be a next time,”

”Grandpa sent you here to serve the Ye Family, not to use your position to go after your own colleagues,”

”And no matter what kind of thoughts or grudges you have against Xiao Yifeng, he is still my fiancé right now, so I hope you think clearly. Now, leave.”

Ye Yaxin finished her spiel swiftly, sending Ye Tianchen on his way.

Ye Yaxin leaned back in her chair, her eyes nearly closed, Xiao Yifeng’s image floating through her mind, her expression incredibly complex.

Meanwhile, Ye Tianchen, exiting Ye Yaxin’s office, wore an extremely dark expression, his fists clenched tightly, seething with indignation.

Not only had he failed to get back at Xiao Yifeng by removing his two brothers from the Ye Family, but he also ended up humiliating himself in front of the entire company’s staff—a total backfire.

”Damn him, just you wait!”

Ye Tianchen hissed with venom, a shadow crossing his eyes.
