Medical Sage

With the experience from the first time, the second infiltration was naturally much smoother. Just a few hours later, Chen Fei got out of a car at a street corner not far from Dongshan Villa. He formed a hand seal, turning himself into a semi-invisible shadow, and brazenly entered the Capital City’s number one luxury residential complex, a place where merchants and influential figures gathered. He glided past a row of tightly packed townhouses.

Gazing at the dark villa looming in the encroaching night, Chen Fei squinted and let out a cold chuckle before nonchalantly scaling the side wall and leaping inside, landing softly on the ground. The scene and his movements were just like his previous break-in at Villa 606.

The Sunx Family, huh. Watching the bright lights spilling out from the villa’s windows and the occasional chatter of voices from within, Chen Fei narrowed his eyes, his expression growing colder and more solemn.

The Sunx Family was one of the true elite families in Capital City. Within the vast expanse of Forty-Nine City, you could count on one hand those who could stand shoulder to shoulder with them. They were a rarity indeed.

Too bad I can’t be bothered to care about all that. Chen Fei then shook his head with a smile, his face a blend of iciness and amusement. Had it been anyone else, they might have had to let bygones be bygones after that incident, perhaps seeking revenge through other channels. But such thoughts never crossed his mind.

The Sunx Family? So what if it was the Sunx Family? Offend me, and I’ll run a blade through you all the same!

As he nonchalantly twisted open the military-grade aluminum alloy security bars on the small villa’s window, a black-robed man emerged from a dark corner several kilometers away. His face was a mixture of a wry smile and faint shock. He stared incredulously at the gaping breach Chen Fei had torn in the steel bars, knowing the astonishing strength required for such a feat.

He’s not a normal person… But he sure has guts, daring to spill blood and stir up trouble right here in Capital City? The black-robed man shook his head helplessly and pulled out a satellite phone.

”Hello, Director, it’s me, Cao Qiguo. The target has appeared,” he said gravely as soon as the call connected.

”Is that so? What’s he doing?” an authoritative voice came through the phone.

”What’s he doing?” The black-robed man touched his nose, his eyes glinting. ”He first went to find that kid from the Wuu Family, Wuu Xiaojun. If I’m not mistaken, blood was probably shed. Now, he’s arrived at Sunx Long’s private villa in Dongshan Villa. I don’t dare get within three kilometers of him. It’s as if… as if he’d detect me.”

”He’d detect you?” The voice on the other end sounded slightly surprised. The Director knew very well what his subordinate, Cao Qiguo, was capable of; he was one of the Bureau’s ace elites. Among the current generation, he was probably the strongest, second only to the older veterans.

Yet now, he was saying he didn’t dare get within three kilometers of the target for fear of detection? To suddenly hear such a thing was undeniably jolting.

”...Qiguo, between you and him, who do you think is stronger?” the authoritative voice asked after a long silence.

”Who’s stronger? Director, are you trying to mock me?” upon hearing this, the black-robed man, Cao Qiguo, laughed bitterly.

”Mock you?” the person on the other end of the phone sounded taken aback.

”Yes, Director. When have you ever seen me tailing a target and not daring to approach within three kilometers? Compared to him, I’m not even in the same league. I suspect that kid’s strength is at least SS-Level or higher.” As he said this, a flicker of shock unconsciously crossed Cao Qiguo’s eyes. If he hadn’t seen it for himself, he wouldn’t have believed it either. After all, this was SS-Level he was talking about.

”SS-Level? You mean a Mid Innate Ancient Martial Artist? How is that possible? How old is that kid? How could he possess that level of strength?” The man on the phone was thoroughly shocked. Setting aside the issue of age, those words alone—that level, a Mid Innate Ancient Martial Artist—were enough to warrant his utmost seriousness and priority.

After all, it was SS-Level, a Mid Innate Ancient Martial Artist. Even across the entirety of Forty-Nine City, how many of those were there? And weren’t they all old men in their seventies and eighties? That was why he was so stunned.

”Director, what are your instructions? If nothing unexpected happens, that Sunx boy probably won’t escape. It’s quite tragic and pitiful for him that a ’deity’ like this has shown up to settle a score. However, he is a member of the Sunx Family, after all,” Cao Qiguo said, his tone turning solemn.

The Sunx Family. Those two words alone carried immense weight.

In Capital City, no person, organization, or power dared to overlook the Sunx Family.

This was the true reason he was here today.

The next instructions? Hearing Cao Qiguo’s question, the man on the other end sounded like he had a headache. After a moment of helpless deliberation, he suddenly asked, ”Are their people there? The Dragon Group?”

”I haven’t spotted any of them yet, but… if blood is truly spilled, it will definitely be traceable. He’s leaving too many openings,” Cao Qiguo replied without hesitation.

”Then proceed with the original plan. We need to strike first and gain the upper hand,” the voice on the phone said slowly.

”Yes, Director.”

「…」

While this scene was unfolding kilometers away, inside the villa, Chen Fei had already made his way up the corridor to the third floor. According to his senses, Sunx Long was currently in the room on the left, closest to the staircase railing.

BANG!

Chen Fei kicked the door straight open.

With a crack, the door shattered into pieces.

”Who the hell—” A roar of anger came from inside the room, but the next moment, when the speaker saw Chen Fei’s face clearly, he froze. Terror filled his eyes.

He scrambled backward. ”It’s—it’s you!? What are you doing here?”

Chen Fei chuckled and retorted, ”Why I’m here? Don’t you already know the answer to that?”

”You—what do you mean? Why would I know?” Sunx Long’s expression stiffened as he frantically shook his head, his guilty conscience on full display.

”Is that so?” Chen Fei’s lips curled into a scornful smile as he looked at the other man with disdain. ”I actually thought you had some spine. Weren’t you acting all high and mighty before? What, do I need to spell it out for you to finally give up? You’ve heard of the Crimson Fang of Italy, right? You should also know about Blood Blade, I assume? And the Far East Gang. Speaking of which, you must really have too much money to burn. Spending a hundred million to put a price on my head… why didn’t you just discuss it with me directly?”

At these words, Sunx Long’s blood ran cold, and he nearly collapsed to the ground, his strength gone.

”How—how do you know?!”
