Chapter 1457: Chapter 22: Persia

For Russia, 1921 was another difficult year, with sudden sanctions and military blockade instantly tightening the situation on the European Continent.

The information-gathering capability of the Russian Labor Party is extremely exceptional, as the German Labor Party had already sent part of the meeting details to Moscow while the imperialist countries were still in session.

As for the imperialist countries’ plots against Russia, they caught the high attention of Vladimir and other high-ranking members of the Russian Labor Party.

Three days later, in Moscow, Vladimir, the leader of the Russian Labor Party, said to the senior members of the Labor Party: ”With the end of the French flu, the threat posed by imperialism towards our workers’ class in establishing a nation is resurgent.”

”However, do not be afraid, on the contrary, this precisely indicates the fear imperialism has of our new Russia. In dealing with imperialist encirclement and blockade, as long as we can unite all forces, we can defeat them as easily as we did the decadent forces of the White Bandits and other remnants of Tsarist Russia.”

”Meanwhile, we should also actively mobilize the people of Ukraine and Poland to prepare for resisting the invasion of imperialist countries...”

Vladimir is evidently a tough-minded Labor Party leader, thus facing the siege by imperialism, he is not frightened but is instead contemplating a counterattack against imperialism.

Due to the reasons for the development of the world situation, the current condition of the Russian Labor Party is much stronger than in the past, even though more territory has been ceded than in the past, due to the conflicts among imperialist countries, it instead provides a good opportunity for the development of the Russian Labor Party.

Vladimir’s new economic policy also emerged earlier than in the past and had a greater impact, and now the support rate for the Russian Labor Party among people across Russia is at an all-time high.

Although the new economic policy does not quite align with the ideology of many Labor Party members, Vladimir is a flexible and adaptable leader who, after discovering and studying Russia’s economic issues, chose to proceed with practical considerations to consolidate the stability of the national government.

In the context of Russia’s social redistribution, resource reorganization, and a relatively relaxed social environment, in 1919, the Russian economy began to recover to some extent, and by 1920, the economy entered a phase of rapid development, quickly mending the wounds left by wartime.

If it were in past times, Vladimir’s policies were unlikely to achieve such success, but under interference from East Africa on world progress, Russia gained a rare period of respite while other European countries were still continuing World War I, Russia was already rebuilding and restoring its nation.

Under these favorable circumstances, it is difficult for Russia not to recover and develop by 1920.

Subsequently, Vladimir began assigning tasks: ”Continue to increase support for organizations in Ukraine, Poland, and other regions, aiming to expand our influence in Eastern Europe before imperialist countries could fully assemble.”

”When the suitable opportunity arises, overthrow the puppet governments in Ukraine and Poland, propped up by imperialism, and reclaim these lost lands.”

”Additionally, given the destructive effects of UK, France, Germany, Austria on European social movements, we should also change direction, starting from other weak links in Europe as a new starting point, to launch a new round of armed struggle.”

”For instance, in economically troubled, livelihood-stricken places like Spain, Portugal, Italy, or countries like Serbia and Greece that have been severely impacted by war, as well as movements in regions such as the Far East Empire, Ottoman Empire, Persia, and India, should also be paid attention to.”

”We cannot wait for imperialism to strike but should take the initiative and guide the imperialist countries, eventually achieving victory for the working class in Russia as the foundation for the final success across Europe and ultimately worldwide...”

Thus, February 1921.

Russia’s new government, having just resolved internal stability and economic issues, initiated the first phase of confrontation with imperialist countries.

Simultaneously, the UK, France, Germany, Austria, East Africa, the United States, Japan, and other countries were also forming alliances, providing financial support and manpower to back Ukraine and Poland to rival Russia.

...

March 1921.

An East African delegation arrived in the Persian capital, Tehran.

The imperialist group was clearly divided in its responsibilities: European countries primarily managed interference activities against Russia in Europe, while East Africa covered the Persian direction; as for the Ottoman Empire, due to the impact of World War I, its international status greatly improved, becoming a distinct political force against Russia.

Moreover, the Ottoman Empire, as Russia’s arch-enemy, possesses quite rich experience in dealing with Russia compared to other countries.

In contrast, Persia is not that impressive, and regarding Persian affairs, based on proximity, the main responsible countries are East Africa and the United Kingdom.

Although the UK fears East Africa’s expanding influence in the Middle East and Central Asia, faced with more aggressive Russians, they could only let East Africa into Persia, choosing the lesser of the two evils.

Moreover, during World War I, East Africa frequently engaged in minor acts in the Middle East, Central Asia, and even South Asia, but it was always within a bearable range for the UK.

This, to a certain extent, indicates that East Africa still values international rules, even though the UK was originally the one setting these rules.

In contrast to the relatively rule-abiding East Africa, the Russian Labor Party is evidently the true mortal threat to the UK at present, especially with its powerful ideological arsenal, which, once spread to India, could potentially dismantle the foundational rule of the UK in an instant.
