Chapter 1456: Chapter 21: Intervention in the Russian Conference_3

Frier continued, ”East Africa’s efforts to counter the Russian Labor Party are indelible, and to this day the exile government led by Aleksey is still in Dar es Salaam City.”

”On the contrary, you all rejected our suggestion at the time, allowing Aleksey’s Tsar to lead regions like Ukraine and Poland to continue fighting against the Russian Labor Party.”

Clearly, the nations of Europe could not accept a puppet supported by East Africa, leading regions like Ukraine and Poland, which were originally Tsarist Russia territories.

At this moment, Prime Minister Herman of Germany mediated, saying, ”Alright, Prime Minister David, it is futile to pursue who was at fault at this stage. Now everyone should return to the topic of how to deal with the Russian Labor Party.”

President Clemenceau said, ”I do not suggest directly sending troops to Russia. If it were at the beginning of the Russian Labor Party’s rule, we might have been able to smother them in the cradle through military intervention.”

”Now, Europe has barely survived the war, so large-scale deployment does not align with the psychology of the European populace and might backfire, allowing the Russian Labor Party to exploit our weakness.”

”Now that countries like Poland and Ukraine have already gained independence from Russia, we might as well rearm them to become a sharp blade against the Russian Labor Party.”

Clearly, Clemenceau does not support troop deployment, given the current situation in France, which does not facilitate such actions.

Moreover, Clemenceau has barely regained some support through proactive pandemic policies. If war is mentioned again, the French people would undoubtedly oust him.

Furthermore, France suffered too severe losses in the world war, and Clemenceau does not plan to get France involved in another war.

Besides, Clemenceau’s support for arming countries like Ukraine and Poland also seems to be a way to dig a pit for Germany and Austria-Hungary. Clemenceau now hopes to see new countries emerge in Eastern Europe to further balance out Russia, Germany, and Austria.

Both Poland and Ukraine have solid foundations and the potential to become medium-sized European powers. If they can be supported, it would be good news for France.

Prime Minister David naturally supports this suggestion as well, saying, ”President Clemenceau is right. We should now strongly support Poland and Ukraine, at least ensuring they have the capability to defend themselves militarily, and serve as the front line for Europe against the Labor Party.”

Germany and Austria-Hungary hesitated somewhat regarding the suggestion from England and France, but ultimately they agreed.

This is inevitable, as if Poland and Ukraine are not supported, then dealing with the Russian Labor Party would require Germany and Austria-Hungary to directly intervene, which is not what the governments of these two countries want to see.

Especially Austria-Hungary, due to the complex domestic situation, the government is most aware that if Austria-Hungary comes into direct confrontation with Russia, it would be disastrous for the current Austria-Hungary Empire.

The Russian Labor Party does not even need to support the Labor Party organization within Austria-Hungary. Just supporting the independence of various nationalities would be enough to take half the life of the Empire.

Therefore, using Ukraine to separate Russia from Austria-Hungary is the best choice, making it more difficult for the Russian Labor Party to penetrate Austria-Hungary.

And since Austria-Hungary agreed, Germany naturally could only support it. For Germany, dealing with the Russian Labor Party directly is not a major issue, but Germany does not want to become a pawn for England and France, especially since England and France have always had the hidden intention of provoking a direct conflict between Germany and Russia.

Ultimately, the participating nations reached a consensus to support Poland and Ukraine in confronting the Russian Labor Party, thereby achieving the purpose of consuming Russia, and imposing a severe economic blockade on Russia, causing it to collapse without fighting.
