The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 440: Chapter 440: We’re Not Donating This Laboratory

Cheng Yuan’s expression darkened. ”Director Han, I’m not in any department. I’m not a student at your Dongshan Medical University! Don’t try to pull rank on me. Are you sure you want to make things difficult for my Qianqian?”

Cheng Yuan’s aura was so overwhelming that Han Laishui jumped in fright!

’This kid isn’t a student at Dongshan Medical University, so my title as Director of the Disciplinary Office is completely useless against him!’

’Even Du Jinlong was taken out. I’d better be careful.’

Han Laishui forced a smile. ”Young man, don’t be rash. We can talk this through! I’ll go communicate with Xiaoxuan right now!”

As he spoke, Han Laishui took out his phone. But instead of calling Xuan Chen, he dialed Du Jiagang.

To Han Laishui’s frustration, Du Jiagang didn’t answer. The call was immediately disconnected!

The next second, BANG.

The door to the Disciplinary Office was shoved open, and Du Jiagang stormed in, fuming.

”Han Laishui, your efficiency is just...”

Du Jiagang was about to lay into him, but upon seeing Liu Qian and Cheng Yuan, he swallowed the words on the tip of his tongue.

”And they are?”

”Principal Du, this is Liu Qian and her boyfriend.”

Du Jiagang was suddenly delighted. ”Xiaohan, I misjudged you! You’re quite efficient! You found them this quickly!”

Han Laishui gave a wry smile. ”Principal Du, I didn’t find them. They came here on their own.”

Du Jiagang paused. ”They came on their own? What for?”

”Student Liu Qian is planning to take a leave of absence and came for my signature. Her class advisor and department head have already signed.”

Du Jiagang shot Cheng Yuan and Liu Qian a sinister glare.

”Hurt my nephew and now you want to take a leave of absence to run away? In your dreams! I say we skip the leave of absence and go straight to expulsion!”

Liu Qian’s expression changed. ”Principal Du, on what grounds can you expel me?”

Du Jiagang snorted. ”If you don’t want to be expelled, that’s an option. Take your boyfriend to my nephew’s hospital bed and kowtow in apology! If my nephew forgives you, then you can avoid expulsion.”

Liu Qian was defiant. ”Du Jinlong was the one who harassed me! We were acting in self-defense!”

”Whether it was self-defense isn’t for you to decide.”

Cheng Yuan stared coldly at Du Jiagang. ”So, Vice Principal Du, you’re planning to twist right and wrong? Don’t tell me you think you’re above the law?”

Du Jiagang spoke with supreme confidence. ”My apologies, but here on my turf at Dongshan Medical University, my word is law! It’s not just Liu Qian. You’re getting expelled, too!”

Cheng Yuan was so angry he laughed. ”If you won’t play by the rules, then neither will I. People like you are just asking for a beating!”

SLAP!

Cheng Yuan raised his hand and struck him, his palm instantly swelling Du Jiagang’s cheek!

Ever since Du Jiagang became vice principal, he had been surrounded by fawning compliments. This was the first time he’d ever been struck.

Du Jiagang was stunned, staring at Cheng Yuan in disbelief. ”Kid! Do you have any idea who I am? If you have the guts, hit me again!”

”I love granting such impolite requests!”

SLAP!

Cheng Yuan swung back with a backhanded slap, and now both of Du Jiagang’s cheeks were swollen!

Du Jiagang’s face burned, his gaze turning venomous.

”Han Laishui, did you see that? They hit me! Expel them immediately! Revoke her student status and send her records back!!”

Han Laishui gave a wry smile. ”Principal Du, the boy isn’t a student at our Dongshan Medical University. At most, we can only revoke Liu Qian’s student status.”

”Then expel Liu Qian first! Send her records back! As for this kid, the law will deal with him!”

Liu Qian was frantic. ’If I get expelled, it’ll be a huge stain on my record, a scandal that will follow me for the rest of my life! What am I going to do!’

Liu Qian anxiously tugged on Cheng Yuan’s sleeve, hoping he could come up with a solution.

”Cheng Yuan...”

Cheng Yuan gently patted the back of Liu Qian’s hand, signaling for her not to worry.

”Qianqian, don’t be afraid. They won’t dare expel you.”

Du Jiagang laughed. ”Kid, you’re awfully confident, aren’t you? I am absolutely expelling Liu Qian today! Otherwise, how can I maintain my reputation? Han Laishui, what are you standing there gaping for? Get a move on!”

Cheng Yuan wasn’t the least bit anxious. He watched Han Laishui with an unreadable smile.

”Director Han, this is a conflict between us and Principal Du. Do you really want to get involved? I’d advise you not to get burned. As for expelling Qianqian, has Principal Zhang given his approval?”

This...

Han Laishui fell silent.

’Although Principal Zhang is about to retire, he hasn’t actually retired yet!’

’For now, Dongshan Medical University is still Principal Zhang’s domain!’

Seeing Han Laishui hesitate, Du Jiagang erupted in fury. ”Han Laishui, are you an idiot? Scared by some no-name kid? Principal Zhang is about to retire! You think he’s going to offend me over some punk who crawled out of the woodwork? Now! Immediately! Expel Liu Qian! Send her records back!”

”Yes, sir!”

With Du Jiagang having said his piece, Han Laishui didn’t dare refuse and began the procedure.

Liu Qian was on the verge of tears. Cheng Yuan’s expression turned grim. ”I’m warning you, don’t do this. You won’t be able to clean up the mess!!”

Du Jiagang snorted. ”Unless you kill me! Otherwise, no one is stopping me from expelling Liu Qian today!”

”Fine. I hope you won’t regret this!”

Cheng Yuan snorted; naturally, he wasn’t going to kill Du Jiagang. He pulled out his phone and dialed Lin Ruoxi. The call connected almost instantly, and Lin Ruoxi’s cheerful voice came through.

”Miss me already? It’s only been a little while. I’m discussing the details of the donation with Principal Zhang right now. I’ll be done soon.”

”You haven’t signed anything yet, have you?”

”Not yet.”

”Good. We’re canceling the lab donation to Dongshan Medical University.”

”Huh? But why?”

”The vice principal of Dongshan Medical University is trying to expel Qianqian and wipe her from the school records!”

”Got it.”

Cheng Yuan hung up and leveled a cold gaze at Du Jiagang. ”Vice Principal Du, you’re in trouble now. You’re in big trouble.”

Du Jiagang, of course, was not about to be intimidated by Cheng Yuan. He gave him a mocking look.

”Kid, you’re surprisingly well-informed, knowing about the Yuanxi Group’s lab donation. But who do you think you are? You think you can get the Yuanxi Group to cancel the donation with a single word? That’s hilarious!”

The words had barely left his mouth when his phone rang. Du Jiagang pulled it out, glanced at the screen, and froze.

’Why is Principal Zhang calling?’

’Ever since Principal Zhang decided to retire, he’d handed over all responsibilities to me, never interfering unless it was something major like dealing with the Yuanxi Group.’

’He hasn’t called me in over half a month!’

’So why the sudden call today?’

’Could it be...?’

A terrible premonition bloomed in Du Jiagang’s chest.

’Impossible!’

’Absolutely impossible!’

’The Yuanxi Group is the undisputed titan of the Dongshan Pharmaceutical Community!’

’How could some punk who appeared out of nowhere possibly influence a decision made by the Yuanxi Group?’
