The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Cheng Yuan’s expression darkened. ”Teacher Xuan, I’ve been speaking to you civilly out of respect for the fact that you’re Qianqian’s advisor and you’re genuinely looking out for her. Don’t go on a power trip! You’re signing this whether you like it or not!”

”Who do you think you are? Well, now I’m definitely not signing it! What are you going to do about it?”

”You!”

Liu Qian respected Xuan Chen and didn’t want him and Cheng Yuan to have a falling out, so she quickly stepped in to mediate.

”Teacher, Brother Yuan, you’re both people I respect. Please don’t fight!”

Cheng Yuan snorted coldly. ”Teacher Xuan, for Qianqian’s sake, I’ll forgive your disrespect. Otherwise, I would have no choice but to revoke your eligibility to join the Yuanxi Research Institute!”

Xuan Chen laughed. ”Young man, that’s some big talk. Careful you don’t bite your tongue. You think Yuanxi belongs to you? Revoke my eligibility just like that?”

”That’s right, Yuanxi *does* belong to me! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cheng Yuan, Chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical!!”

As he spoke, Cheng Yuan took out a custom-made business card that Lin Ruoxi had prepared for him.

Xuan Chen took the card with a mocking expression, but his face quickly turned serious.

The address and phone number were both correct.

’Is this kid really the chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical??’

’But why have I never seen him before?’

Xuan Chen’s expression changed in an instant. ”Chair- Chairman Cheng, I was out of line just now. Please don’t hold it against a man of my humble stature! With your influence, you can certainly guarantee Qianqian’s future! I’ll sign!”

Cheng Yuan just snorted coldly and said nothing.

Nearby, Liu Qian’s mind was a complete muddle. She felt totally out of sorts.

”Wait, Teacher, Brother Yuan, the Yuanxi Pharmaceutical you’re talking about... is it the one I know?”

Both men nodded simultaneously.

Liu Qian stared at Cheng Yuan in disbelief. ”Brother Yuan, you’re the chairman of Yuanxi Pharmaceutical?”

”Yes.”

Liu Qian was speechless.

After a good five or six seconds of stunned silence, Liu Qian finally said sheepishly, ”Brother Yuan, you’ve kept this hidden way too well! Yuanxi Pharmaceutical is the top pharmaceutical group in Dongshan Province! Its market value is over a hundred billion!”

Cheng Yuan shrugged. ”I don’t really have a concept of money. Your sister-in-law handles all of it.”

Liu Qian and Xuan Chen stared at each other, speechless. For that level of flexing, they’d give him a perfect score.

SCRITCH, SCRATCH, SCRITCH!

Xuan Chen signed his full name and carefully handed the application form to Cheng Yuan. ”Mr. Cheng, is this acceptable?”

Cheng Yuan nodded in satisfaction and asked pleasantly, ”Do Qianqian’s parents need to sign as well?”

”No, not at all! Mr. Cheng, you can absolutely sign on their behalf.”

”Then thank you, Teacher Xuan.”

”It’s my pleasure! And please, Chairman Cheng, I hope you’ll be merciful. I truly cherish the opportunity to join the Yuanxi Research Institute.”

Cheng Yuan waved his hand magnanimously. ”No harm done when there’s no ill intent. A teacher so respected by Qianqian must be highly competent.”

”Chairman Cheng, I’m on very good terms with the department head. I can sign for him. The Dean’s Office is the first room on the left on the third floor.”

”Then we’ll be troubling you, Teacher Xuan.”

After leaving the office, Liu Qian held out her delicate, fair hand to Cheng Yuan. ”Tycoon, be my sugar daddy! Give me a couple of ’small goals’ to spend.”

Cheng Yuan took out his phone and tapped away at the screen.

DING! Liu Qian received a text message.

Liu Qian opened the message and was instantly dumbfounded.

Liu Qian carefully counted the zeros, then exclaimed, ”Brother! My dearest brother! Did you really just transfer me two ’small goals’? I was just kidding!”

Cheng Yuan laughed. ”Like I just said, I don’t really have a concept of money. As long as you have enough to spend, that’s what matters. This should be enough, right?”

Liu Qian gazed at Cheng Yuan with a complicated expression. ”Of course it’s enough! It’s enough to live in luxury for eight lifetimes without lifting a finger! I’ve suddenly lost all motivation to work hard. Brother, give me your account number. I’m sending it back.”

”Keep it. Isn’t it great to be free from financial pressure? You can live your life pursuing your true interests.”

Liu Qian froze. ’He was right. She didn’t get into acting for the money; she did it because she loved it, because it was her passion.’

’With this money, she could throw herself wholeheartedly into her passion without any other worries!’

’She wouldn’t have to become someone’s plaything just for money.’

’I’m a rich woman now. Take your filthy money and get lost!’

”Brother, I couldn’t spend all the interest even if I tried. I won’t touch the principal from these two ’small goals.’ If you ever need it back, just say the word.”

Cheng Yuan waved his hand dismissively. ”For Yuanxi Pharmaceutical, two ’small goals’ is less than a drop in the bucket.”

Liu Qian was speechless again.

Joking around, the two of them arrived at the Dean’s Office.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

Liu Qian knocked lightly on the door.

Han Laishui had made numerous inquiries and managed to dig up all of Liu Qian’s information. However, the file on her boyfriend was a complete blank, which frustrated him.

’How am I supposed to explain this to Principal Du?!’

Just when Han Laishui was at a loss for what to do, the door knocked.

Han Laishui said, somewhat impatiently, ”Come in.”

Liu Qian pushed the door open and walked straight up to his desk. ”Director Han,” she said respectfully, ”I’m applying for a leave of absence. My class advisor and department head have already signed off on it. I just need your signature.”

Han Laishui was already in a foul mood. He took the application form without even bothering to look at it, grabbing a pen to sign.

’Anyway, since the advisor and department head already signed, there’s no need for me to waste time on it.’

However, after writing the first part of his name, Han Laishui suddenly stopped. He had seen the name on the form: Liu Qian!

Han Laishui quickly looked up, finally getting a clear look at her face.

’Isn’t this the very same Liu Qian that Principal Du had asked him to investigate?’

’If he signed her leave of absence application, Principal Du would definitely have his hide!’

’Also, who’s that kid standing behind her?’

’That must be her boyfriend, right?’

’Well, well. This saves me a lot of trouble.’

’Now I can finally complete the task Principal Du assigned me!’

Han Laishui put down his pen, set the application form aside, and adopted a bureaucratic tone. ”Student Liu Qian, I will need to review your application to see if you meet the criteria for a leave of absence. I will give you an answer in one week.”

”A week?”

’That’ll be too late!’

’The talent show starts in four days!’

”Director Han, I have something extremely important to do. I have to get this leave approved within three days, or it’ll be too late!”

”I’m sorry, Student Liu Qian, but I’m just following procedure.”

Liu Qian was frantic, but she was powerless against Director Han.

Cheng Yuan stepped forward and said with a smile, ”Director Han, her class advisor and the department head have already signed. That means Qianqian meets the qualifications for a leave of absence. If you don’t believe me, feel free to call Teacher Xuan and confirm.”

Han Laishui had no doubt Cheng Yuan was telling the truth, but there was absolutely no way he was going to make that call.

Han Laishui’s expression hardened. ”Are you telling me how to do my job? What department are you from? What business is it of yours what Student Liu Qian does? Get out of my office, now!!”
