The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 380: Chapter 380: I Never Blamed You, I Blame Myself

The three bloody holes looked terrifying. One of them was on his left chest, right where his heart should be.

But Cheng Yuan knew the truth: the bullets were all lodged in his muscle, having completely missed his bones and internal organs.

Channeling his inner drama queen, Cheng Yuan forced a trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth and collapsed weakly to the ground.

Wang Jing was panting heavily, a dazed look on his face.

’What’s wrong with me?’

’Am I possessed?’

’Why couldn’t I control my own hands?’

’Was it because I was too nervous, since it was my first time firing a gun?’

’That must be it!’

’Still, the outcome is good!’

’This bastard is dead for sure!’

Wang Jing burst into maniacal laughter. ”Hahaha! Hey, kid! Aren’t you so tough? Go on, keep acting tough now! How does a bullet taste?”

When Wang Jing fired, Lin Ruoxi had thought she was a dead woman. She had already prepared to die, calmly gazing at the dark muzzle of the pistol, awaiting death’s arrival.

But then, she just felt a gust of wind as Cheng Yuan appeared before her, shielding her from the bullets with his own body!

The scene was too shocking!

Like a force-12 hurricane!

It crashed into Lin Ruoxi’s very soul!

Lin Ruoxi let out a mournful cry, like a cuckoo crying blood, ”No! No!! Cheng Yuan! How could you be so foolish???”

Lin Ruoxi let go of Liu Qingcheng and rushed toward Cheng Yuan like a madwoman.

Seeing the three bloody holes in Cheng Yuan’s body, tears streamed down Lin Ruoxi’s face.

In that moment, her so-called principles and reservations all became a joke.

Cheng Yuan was willing to die for her, to block bullets with his body. What was there left for her to be fussy about?

Besides, the whole thing with Hu Shishi wasn’t something Cheng Yuan wanted, either!!

Lin Ruoxi pressed down hard on the bloody hole in Cheng Yuan’s chest, her tear-streaked face a picture of tragic beauty, and shouted, ”Qingcheng! Call an ambulance! Quickly!!!”

Liu Qingcheng was also shaken to her core.

At that moment, she was incredibly envious of Lin Ruoxi.

’Ruoxi found herself a good man!’

’So it’s true. There really are men in this world willing to die for their woman!’

Liu Qingcheng quickly pulled out her phone, but Wang Jing roared, ”What are you gaping at? Snatch her phone!!”

”Yes!”

The security guards snapped out of their daze. Seeing that Cheng Yuan had been ”gunned down,” their Essence, Qi, and Spirit returned, and they rushed toward Liu Qingcheng with the ferocity of Evil Gods and Demons, snatching her phone away!

Lin Ruoxi was frantic. She only had two hands, but Cheng Yuan had three bullet holes. No matter which two she pressed, blood would gush from the third.

The drama king took over again. Cheng Yuan, mimicking a final burst of life, slowly opened his eyes and said in a voice as faint as a thread, ”Ruo-Ruoxi... the thing with Sister Shishi... I-I only found out after it happened... Before I die... I-I only have one wish! That you... you can forgive me!!”

Lin Ruoxi, already a sobbing mess, shook her head relentlessly.

”No! Cheng Yuan! I don’t want you to die! You’re going to be okay!!”

”I already forgive you! I was never mad at you! I was only mad at myself! Why wasn’t I the one by your side when your life was in danger? But now that I’m here, there’s nothing I can do! What can I do to save you! Waaaah!!!”

”Ruo-Ruoxi, do you remember the story of Cinderella and the Prince? Cinderella’s kiss can save the Prince... you...”

Before he could finish, Lin Ruoxi forcefully pressed her lips against his.

Cheng Yuan was ecstatic!

’My wife is kissing me on her own accord! This means she’s truly forgiven me!’

’These three gunshots were worth it!’

Cheng Yuan savored this rediscovered tenderness, but nearby, Wang Jing was going mad with jealousy.

The Pearl of Luocheng was his!

Not even a man with one foot in Hell could steal the Pearl of Luocheng from him!!

CLICK!

Wang Jing slapped in a new magazine, strode over to Cheng Yuan, pointed the dark muzzle at his head, and snarled, ”Miss Lin! His life or death depends on your next decision!”

The color drained from Lin Ruoxi’s face. ”Don’t! Don’t shoot! I’ll agree! I’ll agree to anything!!”

A savage grin spread across Wang Jing’s face. ”Excellent! Get on the ground. Crawl like a bitch...”

He was only halfway through his sentence when his expression changed drastically.

Because Cheng Yuan, who a second ago looked like he was about to breathe his last, suddenly shot up and grabbed his wrist!

With a sharp CRACK, Wang Jing’s wrist was snapped!

Wang Jing let out an agonized scream as the pistol slipped from his grasp and fell through the air.

With a flick of his wrist, Cheng Yuan caught the gun.

Stunned!

Everyone was completely stunned, staring blankly at Cheng Yuan.

’What the fuck!’

’What the hell is going on?’

’Didn’t he get shot in the heart?’

’How is he suddenly so full of life?’

Lin Ruoxi’s despair turned to tears of joy. She rushed to Cheng Yuan, looking at him with delighted surprise. ”Cheng Yuan, you’re okay? Are you really okay? Weren’t you shot in the heart?”

Cheng Yuan grinned. ”Ruoxi, your kiss is the ultimate Holy Medicine!”

”Cheng Yuan! Is this really the time for that?! You’re still in the mood to tease me?!”

”Alright, alright. My heart’s just a little off-center. Don’t worry.”

”You’re not lying to me? You’re really not going to die?”

Cheng Yuan dotingly ruffled Lin Ruoxi’s hair and pulled her into his arms, saying softly, ”I have such a wonderful wife. How could I bear to die? I still have to grow old with you.”

”But your wounds...”

Halfway through her sentence, Lin Ruoxi froze. The wounds on Cheng Yuan’s body had been sealed by his True Essence and were no longer bleeding.

After calming Lin Ruoxi down, Cheng Yuan slowly turned the gun, aiming the dark muzzle right at Wang Jing’s forehead.

”Hey you. Since you like being a dog so much, why don’t you put on a little show? Maybe if you make me happy, I’ll spare your pathetic life.”

THUMP. Wang Jing dropped to his knees.

”Do you not understand human speech? Do you want to die, or be a dog?”

”Be a dog! I’ll be a dog! WOOF WOOF WOOF!!”

”Master, I was wrong! I was really wrong! I’m begging you, spare my life! I was possessed just now! I really didn’t mean to shoot! You have to believe me!”

Wang Jing prostrated himself on the floor, looking up at Cheng Yuan with a fawning expression, terrified that Cheng Yuan would blow his brains out with a single shot.

Of course Cheng Yuan believed Wang Jing. He had directed this whole show himself.

But Lin Ruoxi, standing to the side, didn’t believe a word of it. She said coldly, ”Possessed? Do you take us for three-year-olds? Darling, you have to eliminate the evil completely, or it will grow back when the spring winds blow.”

Cheng Yuan gave Lin Ruoxi an approving look. ’I didn’t expect my wife to be so decisive and ruthless!’

Cheng Yuan’s finger settled on the trigger. He applied a little pressure, just about to trip the firing mechanism.

Wang Jing’s face went deathly pale. He screamed, ”You can’t kill me! I work for Young Master Han! Young Master Han is the direct heir of the Han Family’s third generation and the third-largest shareholder of the Lan Club! If you kill me, Young Master Han will never let you go!”

’Young Master Han?’

’Could he mean Han Zhongming?’

’An old acquaintance!’

Cheng Yuan relaxed his finger, looking at Wang Jing with a mocking gaze. ”I’d advise you not to call Young Master Han over. That way, you might get a quick death. If Young Master Han does come, you’re going to die a very miserable death.”
