The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 364: Chapter 364: President Xu, You’ve Been Wronged

Lei Yunhai immediately told his brother and nephew what he had discovered.

Lei Yunping and Lei Hua were so frustrated they nearly wanted to kill themselves!

Risking offending a good friend, Lei Yunping decisively broke off Lei Hua’s engagement, telling him to go win back Kong Xue!

But when Lei Hua went to find Kong Xue, she was already Xu Ke’s girlfriend!

This was something Lei Hua couldn’t accept!

Lei Hua stared coldly at Xu Ke. ”Isn’t it normal for a couple to have a misunderstanding and break up? That’s no excuse for you to take advantage of the situation!”

Xu Ke explained, ”I really didn’t know at the time.”

”Well, you know now! If you leave Xiaoxue right away, I’ll approve your loan immediately! And I’ll give you the lowest possible interest rate! You can fill in whatever amount you want!”

Those were truly generous terms!

But Xu Ke shook his head without hesitation.

”Young Master Lei, Xiaoxue isn’t a piece of merchandise or a bargaining chip. I love Xiaoxue, and no matter what, I will never give up on her!”

Lei Hua was about to go insane with rage. He ground his teeth and said, ”Xu Ke, do you really think Xiaoxue loves you? You’re just a rebound she’s using to get over me! If your company goes bankrupt, if you become a broke deadbeat with a mountain of debt, Xiaoxue will kick you to the curb in a heartbeat! There are plenty of women out there, why hang yourself on a single tree? As long as I approve your loan, what kind of girl couldn’t you get? I could even find you someone who looks exactly like Kong Xue!”

”Young Master Lei! I don’t care what I am to Xiaoxue. All I know is that I love her! I will absolutely not back down! So you can just give up on that idea!”

Lei Hua completely exploded, pointing at Xu Ke’s nose and cursing him out!

”You shameless bastard! Fine, then you can just wait for your ruin! Wait for your company to go bankrupt! Now get the hell out!”

Since they had already thrown all pretenses aside, Xu Ke didn’t bother tolerating Lei Hua’s temper. ”Lei Hua, let me warn you too! From now on, if I see you harassing Xiaoxue again, I’ll break your damn legs!”

Leaving that harsh threat hanging in the air, an infuriated Xu Ke walked out of the ICBC and dialed Cheng Yuan’s number. The call connected quickly, and Cheng Yuan’s lazy voice came through.

”Xu Ke, you calling to thank me? What’s the need for that between brothers like us? It’s totally unnecessary! For me, it was just a matter of saying a few words.”

Xu Ke gave a bitter smile. ’Brother Yuan is certainly optimistic...’

”Brother Yuan, the person you found isn’t reliable! I just got thrown out of the ICBC by Lei Hua.”

The smile on Cheng Yuan’s face froze instantly!

’Didn’t Governor Zhou make the call? What’s going on?’

”Don’t go anywhere. I’ll ask about it.”

”Okay!”

Cheng Yuan hung up and immediately dialed Zhou Yadong’s number.

The call connected quickly, and Zhou Yadong’s hearty voice came through. ”Divine Doctor Cheng, thank you for saving my life! I feel fantastic right now!”

Cheng Yuan’s voice was cold. ”Well, I’m not feeling fantastic. My brother was just thrown out of the ICBC by Lei Hua! Did you put in a word for him or not? Are you burning the bridge after you’ve crossed it?”

Zhou Yadong quickly apologized, ”Divine Doctor Cheng, it’s my fault! I didn’t put in a word because I was planning to go handle President Xu’s loan in person! But I didn’t expect to get stuck in such bad traffic. I’m only two minutes away from the ICBC now! I’m sorry President Xu had to go through that!”

Cheng Yuan’s tone softened slightly. ”Oh, so it was traffic? Then I misunderstood Governor Zhou. Should I have Xu Ke wait for you in the lobby?”

”Yes.”

Cheng Yuan called Xu Ke back. The call was answered in a second, and Xu Ke’s slightly expectant voice came through. ”Brother Yuan, what did your contact say? Did he not put in the word?”

”Governor Zhou didn’t put in a word, that’s true. But he said it’s because he’s coming to handle your loan personally! He’s a bit stuck in traffic, but he should arrive in about two minutes. I told him you’d be waiting in the lobby for him.”

’Governor Zhou?’

’Brother Yuan is incredible!’

’I heard Governor Zhou hasn’t been involved in day-to-day business for over half a year. For Brother Yuan to actually get him to come out of retirement, just to personally handle my loan!’

’Brother Yuan’s influence is really on another level!’

”Okay, Brother Yuan, I’ll wait for Governor Zhou!”

Xu Ke hung up, an excited expression on his face as he walked back into the bank’s lobby and found a random place to sit down.

Seeing Xu Ke, a few staff members began to whisper among themselves.

”Linlin, look at that President Xu. He’s as sticky as a piece of taffy. He snuck back in again.”

”That President Xu is pretty pathetic. I wonder how he offended Young Master Lei. I heard his company is about to go bankrupt.”

Hearing this, Lin Xiaoyan turned her head and saw that Xu Ke was indeed there.

Lin Xiaoyan keenly spotted an opportunity to curry favor with Lei Hua and quickly went to tattle on Xu Ke.

”Young Master Lei, that shameless guy named Xu is back. He just got thrown out, and now he’s secretly snuck back into the main hall.”

Instead of getting angry, Lei Hua’s eyes lit up. The more shameless Xu Ke acted, the more desperate he must be for the loan!

Lei Hua strode over to Xu Ke with the air of a victor and said condescendingly, ”President Xu, have you thought it over? There are plenty of women out there, but if your company goes bankrupt, you’ll have nothing!”

Xu Ke glanced coolly at Lei Hua. ”You, Lei Hua, are not qualified to decide whether my company goes bankrupt or not. Now if you’ll excuse me, please get out of my way. Stop buzzing around me like a mosquito all day.”

Lei Hua was enraged. He shouted, ”Security? Where’s security? Can’t you see this troublemaker got back in? Throw him out immediately! From now on, whoever lets him in, I’ll dock their pay for a month!”

”Yes, sir!”

Several security guards walked menacingly toward Xu Ke!

Xu Ke wasn’t flustered at all. He said in a deep voice, ”Don’t do anything rash! I have an appointment with Governor Zhou! Aren’t you afraid he’ll blame you?”

The guards were taken aback. They stopped in their tracks and instinctively turned to look at Lei Hua for confirmation.

Of course, Lei Hua didn’t believe that Xu Ke had contacted Zhou Yadong. After all, Zhou Yadong hadn’t handled any bank affairs for over half a year!

Lei Hua said coldly, ”Xu Ke, why don’t you just brag that you brought the City Lord here? Governor Zhou hasn’t been to the bank in half a year. Who the hell do you think you are? You think he’d come to the bank for you? What are you all standing around for? Throw him out!”

”Yes, sir!”

The guards rushed toward Xu Ke like a pack of wolves, trying to put on a good show for Lei Hua.

Just then, Zhou Yadong finally arrived at the ICBC.

Zhou Yadong shouted, ”What’s all this commotion? What a disgrace!”

The guards jumped. ’Governor Zhou is really here?’

The guards quickly stopped, hanging their heads like children who had been caught misbehaving, and greeted Governor Zhou.

Xu Ke’s spirits soared. ”Young Master Lei, weren’t you just swearing up and down that I couldn’t possibly get Governor Zhou to come?”

Of course, Lei Hua refused to believe Xu Ke knew Governor Zhou. Otherwise, Xu Ke wouldn’t have been blacklisted by him and his father for so long.

In Lei Hua’s mind, Xu Ke was just using Governor Zhou’s name to bluff.

Lei Hua scurried over to Zhou Yadong, a sycophantic look on his face. ”Governor Zhou, you’re here! That President Xu is using your name to bluff, claiming you came here for him! Isn’t that ridiculous? Don’t be angry, I’ll have him thrown out right now! He won’t—”

Before he could finish his sentence, Lei Hua choked on his words!

Because Zhou Yadong shoved him aside, strode over to Xu Ke, and grabbed his hand with incredible warmth!

”President Xu, I’m sorry I’m late. I’m so sorry you’ve been put through this!”
