The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 185: Chapter 185: The Shocked Li Yankui

Cheng Yuan was very pleased with how much Zhang Jing cared for Cheng Qianqian. He said in a gentle voice, ”Don’t worry, Teacher Zhang. The room is taken care of. Qianqian has a great environment for studying.”

Zhang Jing breathed a small sigh of relief. ”That’s good. Mr. Cheng, please send me the hotel address. Teacher Li and I will take a taxi over to give Qianqian a little cram session. You mustn’t refuse, Mr. Cheng. I’m not giving Qianqian special treatment; I’ve already done this for the other two children.”

Cheng Yuan shrugged and said lightly, ”Thank you for the kind offer, Teacher Zhang, but we didn’t switch hotels. We’re on the top floor, in Presidential Suite Number One.”

’The top floor?’

’Presidential Suite Number One??’

Zhang Jing was stunned.

’Mr. Cheng offended Director Tan, so how could he possibly have booked a room?’

’And it’s even the most luxurious and prestigious one, Presidential Suite Number One?’

”P-Presidential Suite Number One? W-we’ll be right over.”

Zhang Jing found Li Yankui. ”Teacher Li, come on, let’s go give Cheng Qianqian a quick cram session.”

”Okay.”

Li Yankui nodded and followed Zhang Jing to the elevator, subconsciously pressing the ’down’ button.

Zhang Jing quickly canceled it and pressed the ’up’ button instead.

Li Yankui was taken aback. ”Director Zhang, didn’t Mr. Cheng switch hotels? Aren’t we going downstairs?”

Zhang Jing gave a mysterious smile. ”Mr. Cheng didn’t switch hotels.”

”Huh?”

Looking completely baffled, Li Yankui followed Zhang Jing into the elevator as it headed straight for the top floor.

”Director Zhang, you’re not pulling my leg, are you? Director Tan already gave the order. There’s no way Mr. Cheng could book a room at the Sofitel Hotel! Why are you taking me upstairs?”

Zhang Jing smiled mysteriously again. ”Don’t be so anxious, Teacher Li. You’ll find out soon enough.”

Li Yankui shrugged and didn’t ask any more questions.

Soon, the two arrived at the top floor. They stepped out of the elevator and headed toward the end of the hallway.

Li Yankui had sharp eyes. He spotted the plaque on a door and couldn’t resist showing off the information he had just gotten from Ji Yanjun.

”Teacher Zhang, do you know how much a presidential suite at the Sofitel Hotel costs per day?”

”How much?”

”One hundred thousand yuan!”

Zhang Jing exclaimed, ”That much? Isn’t one night here our entire year’s salary?”

Li Yankui was very satisfied with Zhang Jing’s reaction. He had been just as shocked when he first heard the price!

Li Yankui continued to show off. ”And that’s just a regular presidential suite. The top six are ridiculously expensive, starting at two hundred thousand a day. Presidential Suite Number One is the most outrageous—three hundred thousand a day! We’d have to work for three years without eating or drinking just to afford one night in Presidential Suite Number One!”

Zhang Jing was secretly amazed. ’Presidential Suite Number One is that expensive?’

’Mr. Cheng is just unbelievably rich, isn’t he?’

As they walked, the two of them arrived at the entrance of Presidential Suite Number One.

At that moment, the door to the suite was open. Peeking inside, they were dazzled by the lavish decor and furnishings.

Li Yankui sighed in admiration. ”It’s truly worthy of being Presidential Suite Number One at three hundred thousand a day. The level of luxury in here is no different from a royal palace.”

Zhang Jing suddenly smiled. ”Teacher Li, would you like to experience what a three-hundred-thousand-a-day presidential suite feels like?”

Li Yankui’s expression changed, and he quickly waved his hands. ”No! Absolutely not! We have our own lives to live! There’s no need to waste money so frivolously!”

Zhang Jing smiled faintly. ”What if you don’t have to pay?”

”Director Zhang, stop teasing me! The Sofitel Hotel isn’t a charity. How could it possibly be free?”

Just then, Cheng Yuan’s voice came from behind the door. ”Teacher Zhang is right. If you two teachers like it, you can stay as long as you want, free of charge.”

As he spoke, Cheng Yuan stepped into view before the two of them.

Li Yankui was dumbfounded. He stared at Cheng Yuan in disbelief. ”Mr. Cheng, you... you... how are you staying in P-Presidential Suite Number One??”

He was so shocked that his words came out in a stammer.

Cheng Yuan stepped aside and smiled faintly. ”Please, come in, both of you.”

Zhang Jing, who already knew, calmly walked into Presidential Suite Number One.

Li Yankui was completely unprepared. The shock he felt was indescribable. He walked so stiffly that his arms and legs moved in unison, awkwardly making his way into Presidential Suite Number One.

Led by Cheng Yuan, the two teachers took a quick tour of the suite.

Their impressions were exactly the same.

’It must be nice to be rich!’

’If only we could also stay in such a luxurious presidential suite whenever we wanted!’

Li Yankui began to shamelessly suck up, ”Mr. Cheng, I never realized you had such powerful connections in the Provincial City, to be able to secure Presidential Suite Number One!”

”It’s alright,” Cheng Yuan replied without any false modesty, pointing to Cheng Qianqian’s room. ”Teachers, Qianqian is in this room.”

”Oh, right, we’ll get right to tutoring Qianqian.”

After witnessing Cheng Yuan’s connections and wealth, Li Yankui became even more diligent. He and Zhang Jing analyzed the first exam’s format to predict the topics for the second exam, then started an intensive cram session with Qianqian on those areas.

Cheng Yuan didn’t resume his training. Instead, he called his parents to tell them the news that Cheng Qianqian had placed first in the initial exam, hoping to slightly lift the gloom brought on by Shen Youchu’s serious injuries.

Then, Cheng Yuan dialed Lin Ruoxi’s number. The call connected quickly, and Lin Ruoxi’s soft, lovely voice came through. ”Honey, it’s only been a day. Do you miss me already?”

Cheng Yuan didn’t want to admit it, but he had to.

”My dear, it’s only today that I’ve truly understood the saying ’a day apart feels like an eternity.’ I miss you! So, so much!”

Lin Ruoxi was overjoyed. ”Honey, I just took a nice, long bath! Do you want to smell?”

Hearing such a blatant hint, Cheng Yuan nearly exploded. He wished he could teleport back to Luocheng right that instant and throw Lin Ruoxi onto the bed!

And have his way with her!

”I’ll be home tomorrow night. My dear, you’re not allowed to work overtime tomorrow! No matter what comes up, you have to come home early!”

”Okay. I’ll leave everything to Mom and Dad tomorrow! I’ll definitely come home early, take a nice bath, and wait for my husband.”

...

Cheng Yuan was lost in his phone call with Lin Ruoxi.

Meanwhile, Ji Yanjun and Li Bo weren’t looking too pleased.

Logically, they should have been happy that their children had successfully advanced to the second exam. Ji Tingting had even scored an impressive 109, taking second place.

But the two of them couldn’t bring themselves to be happy at all.

That Cheng Qianqian had turned in her paper twenty minutes early and still gotten a perfect score. She had utterly crushed their children!

Just as the atmosphere grew heavy, Ji Yanjun’s phone rang. He glanced at it and saw it was a call from Tan Jie.

Ji Yanjun answered the phone. ”Old Tan, did you get it done?”

Tan Jie laughed. ”Of course, I got it done for you, Old Ji. I’ve already booked Chef Klaus for you and reserved the best private room, the Duke’s Mansion.”

Ji Yanjun was ecstatic. ’The face my daughter lost, I’m going to win it back twofold with this dinner!’

”Old Tan, you’ve done a beautiful job. You have to come visit me in Luocheng sometime, and I’ll show you my gratitude!”
