The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 152: Chapter 152: Young Master Tang Is Taking Off

Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening were more than a little annoyed. Before this, Pan Gang had been their lackey.

’Wasn’t this Pan Gang a little too pragmatic? The moment he saw how powerful Cheng Yuan was, he switched sides completely.’

Tang Mingcheng shot Pan Gang a cold glance. ’Since you enjoy sucking up to Cheng Yuan so much, I’ll just have to terminate your family’s supply contract later!’

Before this, even though Cheng Yuan was sitting at the head of the table, Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening had been the center of attention. Every conversation revolved around them.

But now, Cheng Yuan was the undisputed star of the show. Everyone was looking at him with fawning expressions, as if Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening didn’t even exist.

A young man named Wang Zhiquan spoke up, his face a mask of sycophancy. ”Cheng Yuan—no, President Cheng, does Yuanxi have any other openings? You can’t forget about us, your old classmates!”

Cheng Yuan had no experience handling this kind of situation and wasn’t sure how to respond. He could only pass the problem off to Lin Ruoxi.

”Old Wang, as the majority shareholder, I’m just a hands-off investor. I only handle the money; my wife is in charge of management. I’m not sure if Yuanxi has any openings, but I’ll ask when I get back. If there are, I’ll definitely give priority consideration to our classmates.”

The classmates erupted in cheers.

”President Cheng, you’re so generous!”

”Thank you, President Cheng!”

”We’ll be counting on you from now on, President Cheng!”

Cheng Yuan held up his hands, and the crowd quieted down. He then turned to Bai Xuening with false sincerity. ”Xue Ning, you can start at Yuanxi tomorrow. Don’t feel awkward about it. I don’t mind.”

Cheng Yuan’s words sounded magnanimous, but Bai Xuening’s face turned as red as a baboon’s ass. He was grinding her face into the dirt!

If a crack had opened in the floor of the private room, Bai Xuening would have crawled into it without a second thought.

If Lin Ruoxi weren’t Cheng Yuan’s wife, Bai Xuening would have been more than willing. But to work for Cheng Yuan? She couldn’t get over her own pride.

Besides, women know women best. Given her history with Cheng Yuan, Lin Ruoxi would surely make her life difficult.

Bai Xuening said coldly, ”Cheng Yuan, I don’t need you to pretend to be the good guy! You don’t need to worry about my job! I’m not going to Yuanxi! It’s not like it’s the only auction house in the world!”

Cheng Yuan shrugged and didn’t press the matter.

The classmates once again began to shower him with praise.

”President Cheng, you just got out of prison. Where did you get the money to invest in Yuanxi?”

Cheng Yuan answered truthfully, ”I learned some medical skills from an old doctor in prison. After I got out, I treated a few influential people and earned some consultation fees.”

”Wow! I can’t believe President Cheng is a Divine Doctor, too! That’s fucking awesome!”

”I thought going to prison would be a huge blow to President Cheng, but it turns out it was a blessing in disguise!”

”Just now, when President Cheng said he knew a little about medicine, nobody believed him. Looking back now... tsk, tsk...”

As he spoke, the classmate shot a casual yet pointed glance at Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening.

The classmates suddenly recalled what had happened earlier. Didn’t Cheng Yuan just say that Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening would have trouble having children? ’Now things were getting interesting!’

At once, the classmates all started giving Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening strange looks.

Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening remembered it as well, and their expressions turned ugly. Under the strange gazes of the crowd, they both began to feel restless in their seats.

Bai Xuening shot Tang Mingcheng a look. It clearly meant, ’If we stay any longer, we’ll just become the butt of everyone’s jokes. We should leave now.’

Tang Mingcheng understood her meaning and gave her a slight nod. He was just about to come up with an excuse to leave this hornet’s nest.

Just as Tang Mingcheng was about to speak, his phone suddenly rang.

Tang Mingcheng pulled out his phone, and an ecstatic expression spread across his face.

’It’s so late. For my cousin to call me now, it must be good news!’

Tang Mingcheng quickly walked to a corner to answer the call. ”Bro.”

”What’re you up to?”

”Not busy. Just having dinner at the Hilton, came with my girlfriend for a company get-together. What’s the good news?”

Mei Bin laughed. ”You’re a sharp one. You knew it was good news before I even said anything! It’s about that plot of land I mentioned last time. It’s about to be developed! Get ready, you little punk. The entire contract for the doors and windows is yours. Just don’t screw it up for me!”

Tang Mingcheng was ecstatic!

’The plot of land Young Master Mei mentioned... that’s a massive project! It’s equivalent to two full years of work for Dawn System Doors and Windows! I’ve hit the jackpot!’

”Bro, don’t you worry. I’ll make sure everything is handled perfectly. By the way, I thought the zoning for that land couldn’t be changed? When did you get it sorted out?”

”Sorted out, my ass! The land was transferred to a major figure. He’s the one who got the zoning changed. This guy is incredibly powerful. If you get the chance, you’d better get on his good side. The benefits will be endless.”

A chill went down Tang Mingcheng’s spine. ’For Young Master Mei to call someone a ”major figure,” this person must be unbelievably powerful! The kind of person who could make all of Luocheng tremble just by stamping his foot!’

”Bro, rest assured, I’ll treat this man like he’s my own ancestor!”

”Good. I’ve always trusted you to get things done. Also, you know people in the interior design business, right? Find a few reliable companies and let the big boss take his pick.”

”You got it.”

”That’s all for now. I’ll find a chance to introduce you to him later. Gotta go, I’m busy over here.”

”Okay, bro. Talk to you later.”

After hanging up the call from Mei Bin, Tang Mingcheng’s posture instantly straightened with pride.

’With Mei Bin backing me, and with the backing of this major figure Mei Bin mentioned, what’s a mere majority shareholder of Yuanxi like Cheng Yuan?’

Tang Mingcheng struck a pose, sat back down with an imposing air, and completely forgot about leaving. It was time for Young Master Tang to show off.

Pan Gang knew Tang Mingcheng well. The moment he saw his demeanor, he knew something was up.

But Pan Gang had already committed to sucking up to Cheng Yuan; he couldn’t just switch back. All he could do was worry anxiously. ’What kind of good news did Tang Mingcheng just get?’

Bai Xuening was the second to figure it out. She looked at Tang Mingcheng with a broad smile. ”Mingcheng, what’s the good news? Share it and make everyone happy.”

Hearing Bai Xuening’s words, the classmates quieted down and turned to look at Tang Mingcheng.

Tang Mingcheng lifted his chin, his face a mask of arrogance. He boasted with feigned modesty, ”Oh, it’s nothing much. Young Master Mei just set me up with a huge project! The entire doors and windows contract for a massive residential complex! The total value is over five hundred million!”

’A huge project from Young Master Mei?’

’Worth over five hundred million?’

Pan Gang was filled with regret. ’How could I have been so impatient? Young Master Tang holds a grudge. After how I was just sucking up to Cheng Yuan, he must be furious. What am I going to do!?’

The classmates no longer dared to look down on Tang Mingcheng. With the backing of a top young master in Luocheng like Young Master Mei and a contract that massive, Dawn System Doors and Windows was about to take off!

The classmates immediately started fawning over him.

Amidst the chorus of flattery, Cheng Yuan’s expression was a little odd. ’Xiaobin is pretty on the ball,’ he thought. ’His efficiency is decent. But there’s just one thing... why did he choose Dawn System Doors and Windows?’
