The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 184: Chapter 184: Presidential Suite Number 1

’Book my own room?’

The corner of Tan Jie’s mouth curled up. ’With me, the Rooms Manager, here, if Cheng Yuan can book a family or business suite, I’ll admit defeat!’

”Everyone, your rooms are ready. Please follow me upstairs.”

The group gave Cheng Yuan a complicated look, then quickly followed after Tan Jie.

They couldn’t understand it at all. Why did Mr. Cheng have to be so arrogant? He was already getting such a huge favor, couldn’t he just say a few pleasant words?

Tan Jie and the others got into the elevator.

Cheng Yuan and Cheng Qianqian walked to the front desk. He smiled at the receptionist, Zhou Juan. ”Miss, I’d like to book a family suite.”

Zhou Juan had just received a message from Tan Jie. She looked at Cheng Yuan apologetically. ”I’m very sorry, sir, but there are no more family suites available.”

Cheng Yuan frowned. ’Could it be that man, Tan, isn’t targeting me after all?’

”A business suite then, or a presidential suite would also be fine.”

”I’m sorry, the business suites and presidential suites are also unavailable.”

Cheng Yuan’s gaze turned cold, and his voice rose slightly. ”No presidential suites either? Are you sure?”

Cheng Yuan’s sudden sharp tone made Zhou Juan jump. Steeling herself, she replied, ”Sir, there really are no presidential suites left.”

Cheng Yuan was so furious he laughed. ”Good! You’re all very good! I hope you don’t regret this!”

With that, Cheng Yuan pulled out his phone and tried to call Hu Shishi.

Just then, a middle-aged man with a powerful presence strode over majestically. The receptionists quickly greeted him with the utmost respect, ”President Zhu!”

The middle-aged man was Zhu Qishan, the general manager of the Sofitel Hotel.

Zhu Qishan gave a reserved nod to the receptionists, and his gaze swept nonchalantly over Cheng Yuan and Cheng Qianqian, who were standing at the desk.

The moment Zhu Qishan got a clear look at Cheng Yuan’s face, the arrogance on his own vanished instantly.

Zhu Qishan had seen Cheng Yuan’s photo before. He recognized him in an instant. ’This is the new boss!’

Zhu Qishan quickly forced a somewhat sycophantic smile, strode forward, and asked in a fawning tone, ”You wouldn’t happen to be Mr. Cheng... Cheng Yuan?”

Cheng Yuan nodded slightly. ”I am Cheng Yuan.”

The smile on Zhu Qishan’s face grew wider. He bowed slightly. ”Mr. Cheng, I am Zhu Qishan, the general manager of the Sofitel Hotel. It’s a great honor to meet you! Are you looking to book a room?”

”Ah, President Zhu. Business at your Sofitel Hotel is booming, I see. So much so that even the presidential suites are all booked!”

Zhu Qishan, unsure of the situation and not daring to speak carelessly, quickly offered an apologetic smile. ”For anyone else, the presidential suites are indeed unavailable. But since Mr. Cheng is here, there simply must be one! We always keep Presidential Suite One in reserve for unexpected VIP guests. Now that you’ve arrived, Mr. Cheng, it finally has its rightful occupant. Please, follow me!”

Seeing how respectfully Zhu Qishan was treating Cheng Yuan, even offering him Presidential Suite One, Zhou Juan’s face turned deathly pale. She knew she had made a terrible mistake.

’What should I do?’

’Report it to Manager Tan?’

’No! Absolutely not!’

’Manager Tan can’t even save himself right now, so what’s the use of reporting to him?’

’In this situation, there’s only one path to take!’

Zhu Qishan escorted Cheng Yuan into the VIP elevator, which went straight to the top floor. He then led Cheng Yuan and Cheng Qianqian directly to Presidential Suite One.

”Mr. Cheng, this is the key card for Presidential Suite One.”

Cheng Yuan took the key card and, with a BEEP, swiped it to open the door.

Presidential Suite One truly lived up to its reputation as the best suite in the Sofitel Hotel. The interior was incredibly luxurious, like a royal palace, and its extravagance even surpassed Cheng Yuan’s own Villa No. 1.

Cheng Yuan was quite pleased with the suite. ”President Zhu, a room as luxurious as Presidential Suite One can’t be cheap, can it?”

Zhu Qishan gave a sheepish laugh. ”Mr. Cheng, are you pulling my leg? It’s our honor to have you stay at the Sofitel Hotel. How could we possibly charge you?”

Cheng Yuan’s expression turned serious. ”I’m not one to take advantage of others. I insist on paying.”

Zhu Qishan froze for a second, then quickly understood what Cheng Yuan meant. ’The boss is signaling that he doesn’t want to reveal his identity yet.’

”One hundred, then?”

Only then did Cheng Yuan nod in satisfaction. ”That’s acceptable.”

”Mr. Cheng, Presidential Suite One comes with room service. What would you like for lunch? Western or Chinese?”

”Chinese, please.”

”Mr. Cheng, Miss Cheng, I wish you a pleasant stay.”

Zhu Qishan politely excused himself from the room and took the VIP elevator down. On the way, he checked the internal system and discovered that several presidential suites were, in fact, vacant.

Zhu Qishan’s expression darkened!

’Are these people insane?’

’How dare they make trouble for the boss?’

’Do they have a death wish?’

Zhu Qishan strode out of the elevator and marched straight to the front desk. He immediately started chewing them out, ”Who was it that told Mr. Cheng there were no more presidential suites?”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Zhou Juan sold out Tan Jie. ”President Zhu, it was Manager Tan who told me to say that!”

As she spoke, Zhou Juan showed Zhu Qishan the text message she had received from Tan Jie.

Zhu Qishan took the phone and looked at it. He instantly erupted in a thunderous rage and instinctively started to call Tan Jie to demand an explanation.

But he quickly got his emotions under control.

’Based on how the boss is acting, he doesn’t want to reveal his identity yet. If I expose him, won’t he be displeased?’

’It’s better to let the boss deal with Tan Jie himself!’

With this in mind, Zhu Qishan turned to Zhou Juan and the other two receptionists with a blank expression. ”Not a word of what just happened to anyone. If I hear it’s been leaked, all of you are fired! Understand?”

The receptionists jumped in fright and quickly gave their assurances.

”Don’t worry, President Zhu, we won’t breathe a word!”

Only then did Zhu Qishan nod in satisfaction and turn to leave.

The lunch Zhu Qishan had prepared was quite exquisite, with a balanced mix of meat and vegetable dishes that were perfect in color, aroma, and flavor.

Cheng Yuan and Cheng Qianqian enjoyed the meal immensely.

Cheng Yuan was quite satisfied with Zhu Qishan’s arrangements.

After they had eaten their fill, Cheng Qianqian found a room and started doing practice problems. Meanwhile, Cheng Yuan found a relatively secluded room, opened the small box the old dean had given him, and the space was instantly flooded with more than ten times the normal amount of Spiritual Qi.

He cultivated until five in the afternoon before slowly withdrawing his power.

Without the help of Essence Pills, the process of True Essence Crystalization was very slow. After an entire afternoon, Cheng Yuan hadn’t even managed to successfully refine a single finger, and he couldn’t help but feel frustrated.

’It looks like I have to get my hands on more Essence Pills, or my Cultivation speed will fall behind!’

With his Celestial Witch Inheritance and Double Pupil, the ingredients for the Essence Pill were not a problem for Cheng Yuan.

However, just knowing the ingredients was useless. There was also the matter of controlling the heat and the amount of pressure to maintain inside the alchemy furnace.

Of course, the most pressing problem was that Cheng Yuan currently lacked a reliable alchemy furnace.

These were all obstacles Cheng Yuan needed to overcome.

Cheng Yuan could only pin his hopes on the medicinal materials exchange conference, hoping he could buy enough ingredients, get news about an alchemy furnace, and, ideally, obtain the Pill Recipe for the Essence Pill.

Otherwise, he would have to go through a great deal of trial and error, wasting many precious medicinal ingredients to figure out the Essence Pill’s Pill Recipe himself.

As Cheng Yuan was pondering this, his phone suddenly rang. He picked it up and saw it was a call from Zhang Jing. He answered, ”Hello, Teacher Zhang. What can I do for you?”

”Mr. Cheng, the results for the first round of trials are out! Qianqian placed first with a perfect score!”

Zhang Jing’s voice was full of excitement, but she quickly calmed down and asked with some concern, ”Mr. Cheng, have you booked a room yet? It’s fine for us adults, but we can’t let the child be put out. We must provide Qianqian with a good environment to study! With her scores and ability, it’s highly likely she could win the gold medal for Dongshan Province!”
