The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Gu Chen is Dead

Cheng Yuan was too absolute, giving He Miaomiao no chance whatsoever. She was filled with despair, completely devoid of any lingering hope.

”I’ll streak! I’ll do it!”

Ignoring the crowd of onlookers, He Miaomiao quickly stripped off her clothes and ran out of the 4S dealership, sobbing.

With a flick of his wrist, Cheng Yuan shot out a thread of True Essence that accurately struck He Miaomiao. The intense itching that had wracked her body vanished instantly.

However, He Miaomiao didn’t dare to stop. She knew that if she did, the bone-deep itch would return with a vengeance.

Cheng Yuan couldn’t be bothered with He Miaomiao’s fate. He turned to Cheng Hongbing with a smile. ”Dad, the 62S is a custom order and won’t be ready for another month. I’ll go buy you a daily driver for now.”

Cheng Hongbing didn’t object. ”Xiaoyuan, you and Ruoxi are in business together now. The 62S should be for the two of you. Just get me any old car.”

Cheng Yuan nodded and turned to Lin Qiang. ”Do you have any S-Class models in stock?”

”Yes, we do. We have the latest S400, S450, and S500 models in stock. Prices range from one to two million.”

”Let’s take a look at the 500.”

”Certainly. This way, please.”

Led by Lin Qiang, the family of three headed straight for the Mercedes-Benz showroom.

The other salespeople were practically green with envy. They swarmed over, trying to help introduce the S500’s features, hoping that Cheng Yuan might, in a good mood, buy another car from one of them.

Unfortunately, Cheng Yuan detested these kinds of people who judged a book by its cover. He waved his hand impatiently. ”We have Xiaolin helping us. That’s enough. You can all go back to your work.”

The other salespeople left awkwardly. The air instantly grew quiet, and Cheng Yuan’s family felt much more comfortable.

”Mr. Cheng, this is the highest-spec vehicle in our dealership. It’s a 2023 S500 L-model. The car’s length is 5320mm, the wheelbase is 3216mm, and it’s equipped with a 3.0T L6 turbocharged engine, with a maximum horsepower of 435 PS at 6100 rpm. You can take it for a test drive.”

As he spoke, Lin Qiang handed the car keys to Cheng Yuan.

Cheng Yuan casually passed the keys to Cheng Hongbing. ”Dad, you try it.”

Cheng Hongbing’s eyes lit up as he stared at the Mercedes S500 before him. What man doesn’t love cars? Especially a steel beast like this one!

”Alright! I’ll give it a try!”

Lin Qiang sat in the front passenger seat, while Cheng Yuan and Wu Xiuli sat in the back.

This was Wu Xiuli’s first time in such a high-end car, and she couldn’t help but marvel, ”This interior is so luxurious! No wonder Mercedes are so expensive. There’s definitely a reason for it.”

Cheng Hongbing was an experienced driver. Under Lin Qiang’s guidance, he quickly learned the controls and started the car with the push-to-start button.

After shifting the gear lever to D, Cheng Hongbing lightly pressed the accelerator, and the engine let out a fierce roar!

WHOOSH!

The S500 shot forward like a wild beast, giving Cheng Hongbing a huge fright!

Wu Xiuli was even more startled and couldn’t help but cry out, ”Old Cheng, slow down!”

But Cheng Hongbing was a veteran driver and didn’t panic at all. He eased up on the accelerator, pressing it just enough to reduce the car’s speed.

After one lap, Cheng Hongbing got a feel for it. He went faster and faster, and even got carried away, performing a drift around a corner. The maneuver terrified Wu Xiuli and scared the color from Lin Qiang’s face.

Fortunately, Cheng Hongbing parked the car steadily. Lin Qiang got out, looking at him with a fearful gaze. ”Uncle Cheng, I don’t think I’ll ever dare to ride in your car again! With skills like that, you could be a race car driver!”

Cheng Hongbing roared with laughter.

Wu Xiuli punched Cheng Hongbing’s arm a few times. ”You’re still laughing! You scared me to death, you know that? This is the first and last time! I don’t want anything to happen to you!”

Cheng Hongbing’s expression turned serious. ”Don’t worry. I promise I’ll never race like that again.”

Cheng Yuan smiled and asked, ”So, Dad, what do you think of the car?”

”It’s fantastic. Just a bit expensive, at two million.”

”As long as you like it! Xiaolin, run the card. We’re driving it off the lot today!”

Lin Qiang was ecstatic. ”Rest assured, Mr. Cheng. Our dealership can handle all the paperwork. Once the contract is signed, Uncle Cheng can drive the car away immediately. When the documents are processed, I’ll personally deliver them to him!”

”Sounds good. Dad, go with Xiaolin and sign the contract.”

Lin Qiang looked at Cheng Hongbing with a slightly fawning expression. ”Uncle Cheng, I’ll just need you to register your address.”

Cheng Hongbing didn’t think much of it and recited his address.

He Miaomiao hadn’t even finished one lap when Jia Ping started waiting for her in the lounge area.

When he heard the words ”Villa No. 1, Long Lake District,” Lin Qiang didn’t have much of a reaction, but Jia Ping was floored!

He could afford a villa in the Long Lake District, sure, but only one of the smaller ones.

Villa No. 1 was the ”Building King,” worth 260 million!

Even if he liquidated all of his assets, he couldn’t afford Villa No. 1!

At this moment, he no longer dared to look down on Cheng Hongbing, the taxi driver. Cheng Hongbing had become someone he had to look up to!

Jia Ping’s sense of superiority vanished in an instant. Thinking about his earlier behavior, he was so ashamed he wanted to die, to find a crack in the ground and crawl into it.

Jia Ping didn’t have the face to stay any longer. He covered his face and walked out of the lounge, terrified that Cheng Yuan’s family would see him. He didn’t even spare a thought for the streaking He Miaomiao as he got in his car and drove away.

Provincial City First People’s Hospital.

Inside Emergency Room 1, it was a scene of frantic activity.

Outside the door, Gu Feiyun and Yang Qiuyu waited with anxious expressions.

A few days ago, Gu Chen had been beaten into critical condition by the younger generation of the Hu and Zhu Families, leaving him on the verge of death.

After more than 20 hours of emergency treatment, his life had been narrowly saved.

However, his condition had relapsed over the past few days. This morning, Gu Chen had suddenly vomited blood after breakfast and was rushed back to the emergency room, where doctors had been working to save him for several hours.

DING.

The light above the emergency room door lit up.

The doors to the emergency room opened, and several doctors came out, wheeling Gu Chen.

”Doctor, how is he? How is my son?”

Yang Qiuyu rushed forward and grabbed the attending physician’s sleeve, her face tense with anxiety.

”Dr. Liang, how is my son? Is he going to be okay?”

Dr. Liang sighed and said in a low voice, ”Madam Gu, my condolences.”

THUD. Yang Qiuyu collapsed onto the floor, completely stunned.

Two full seconds passed before she let out a cry, a sob of utter heartbreak.

”Xiaochen! My son! My precious boy! How could you just leave? You’re gone... how is your mother supposed to go on living?!”

Tears welling in his fierce eyes, Gu Feiyun hugged his wife tightly and tried to comfort her in a soft voice, ”Qiuyu, the dead can’t be brought back. Our child is gone, but you have to live on. Otherwise, Ah Chen will worry about you in heaven.”

Yang Qiuyu exploded.

”Gu Feiyun, easy for you to say! He didn’t live inside your belly for ten months! My son is dead, what’s the point of me living anymore? Revenge! I want revenge for Xiaochen!”

Gu Feiyun held his wife tightly. ”Qiuyu, calm down! That’s the Hu Family and the Zhu Family! We can’t afford to provoke them!”

Yang Qiuyu shoved Gu Feiyun away and slapped him hard across the face several times.

SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!

”Useless! You’re useless! The entire Gu Family is useless! If you weren’t, how could Xiaochen have died so miserably? You’re afraid of the Hu and Zhu Families, but I, Yang Qiuyu, am not! Cheng Yuan must die! Everyone from the Hu and Zhu Families who had a hand in hurting Ah Chen—they all must die!”
