Supreme Warrior in the City

The Second Elder whispered, ”The relationship between the Four Great Sects and the Heavenly Court will ultimately only elevate the status of the Four Great Sects within the Heavenly Court. Or perhaps, in the future, there will no longer be Ten Great Sects, only Four Great Sects, and that’s the most direct result of their cooperation with the Heavenly Court. But they actually think they can wield power in the end and even make such choices for this matter; hmph, it’s truly laughable!”

Ge Kaiyang and the Jade-faced Judge exchanged glances, this situation was truly beyond their expectations, and for a moment, neither of them knew what to say.

After a long silence, the Jade-faced Judge suddenly said, ”Second Elder, since that’s the case, we don’t need to do anything next. We just need to wait until Huaxia descends into chaos to a certain extent and then wait for the people from Qinghe Academy to make their choice!”

”Indeed, that’s correct!” The Second Elder nodded and said, ”That’s why I haven’t taken the matters of Heaven to heart. After coming out, what I truly need to do is to hunt down Su Yang. After all, Su Yang is someone important to Qinghe Academy and is also the Alliance Hierarch on that side. Only by killing him can we make the people from Qinghe Academy completely lose hope and eventually enter the Heavenly Realm to work for it. As for everything else, it’s not important!”

”If that’s the case, then after we kill Su Yang, we should find a place to hide, without doing anything!” Ge Kaiyang said, ”As long as we find a suitable place to hide where no one can find us, we just wait for the Heavenly Court to return, isn’t that right?”

”Exactly!” The Second Elder slowly nodded.

”Master, do you have a good place to hide?” Ge Kaiyang quickly asked.

The Second Elder shook his head; he certainly didn’t have a suitable place to hide.

”Actually, Su Yang has hidden himself very well!” Ge Kaiyang said solemnly, ”I’ve always suspected that this guy is hiding in a Space Artifact, not in our space at all, that’s why we can’t find him!”

”That’s definitely the case!” The Second Elder nodded and said, ”He must be hiding in a Space Artifact; otherwise, how could we not find him?”

”If that’s the case, we should also find a Space Artifact to hide in!” Ge Kaiyang laughed.

The Second Elder nodded slightly, thinking that this suggestion wasn’t bad.

”Speaking of Space Artifacts, I still think the small boat the Heavenly Court had was pretty good!” The Jade-faced Judge laughed and said, ”Plus, the place the Heavenly Court chose back then was also very suitable. Let you all enter the small boat and then hide within the Heavenly Road. That way, no one can find you. Second Elder, actually, we can imitate this method!”

The Second Elder’s eyes lit up, ”You mean we hide on that small boat and then hide within the Heavenly Road. Once the Heavenly Court returns, we come out?”

”Exactly!” The Jade-faced Judge laughed and said, ”This way, no matter how chaotic it gets outside, it won’t concern us. It would be best if Lingxiao Pavilion and the End of the World fought Heaven to death; we could sit on the sidelines and watch!”

This proposition greatly tempted the Second Elder, and he nodded repeatedly, ”This method is not bad, hiding within the Heavenly Road, indeed no one would think of it. Or even if they do think of it, they still wouldn’t find us. The situation within the Heavenly Road is complex; unless one’s strength is against the heavens or they have a Magic Artifact to carry themselves, finding someone in there is simply impossible, this method is worth a try!”

”In that case, let’s not waste any time!” Ge Kaiyang quickly said, ”Master, where is the Heavenly Road? Let’s go directly?”

”Well…” The Second Elder hesitated for a moment, then shook his head, ”We can’t go there yet!”

”Ah? Why not?” Ge Kaiyang couldn’t hide his disappointment and was glared at by the Jade-faced Judge, swiftly explaining, ”Master, right now Lingxiao Pavilion and the End of the World are chasing us everywhere; we can’t waste time!”

”Sky Blade Peak is still here, and their threat to us is not that great!” The Second Elder said solemnly, ”I still have one most important thing to do. I can’t go hide just yet!”

”What’s more important?” Ge Kaiyang asked in surprise.

The Second Elder took a deep breath and said solemnly, ”Kill Su Yang!”

Ge Kaiyang was stunned for a moment, recalling what the Second Elder had said earlier, and suddenly understood what was going on.

He glanced at the Jade-faced Judge, his eyes showing some disappointment.

The Jade-faced Judge, however, had a calm reaction, ”I think the Second Elder is right. Killing Su Yang is what the Heavenly Court wants; it’s also the only thing the Heavenly Court wants us to do. Since that’s the case, we definitely have to accomplish it. Only by doing this will the Heavenly Court value us after it returns!”

”That’s right!” The Second Elder nodded repeatedly, ”This matter must be accomplished, you can’t let others steal this merit!”

”If that’s the case, let’s focus on dealing with Su Yang first!” The Jade-faced Judge said, ”Yang’er, spread the word and let our people search for Su Yang with all their might. Once he’s found, report back immediately, and I’ll personally kill him!”

”Ah?” Ge Kaiyang was stunned, ”Grandfather, you’ll personally do it?”

The Second Elder was also surprised, looking at the Jade-faced Judge. The Jade-faced Judge’s strength was extremely strong, he rarely personally took action. This time, his decision to personally kill Su Yang was unexpected.

”This matter is significant and must not be underestimated!” The Jade-faced Judge said solemnly, ”Only by killing Su Yang do we truly fulfill the Heavenly Court’s orders. Second Elder, this is also our only task. If we can’t even complete this task, wouldn’t it disappoint the Heavenly Court?”

”Absolutely correct!” The Second Elder nodded, ”This matter must be done, Ge Lao, we’ll rely on you for this. After it’s done, when the Heavenly Court returns, I’ll personally commend you!”

”The Second Elder is too courteous!” The Jade-faced Judge laughed and said, ”We’re all in the same boat now, glory together, loss together. These tasks are what I should do. As for what merit, it’s not important. I’m not a Land Immortal, so it’s better for you, Second Elder, to be a bit closer to the Heavenly Court!”

These words were very pleasing to the Second Elder, and he nodded repeatedly, ”No matter what, I will definitely not treat you poorly in the future!”

”Thank you, Second Elder!” The Jade-faced Judge said with a smile, cupping his hands, his face full of gratitude, as if he were truly very submissive to the Second Elder.

”Between you and me, there’s no need for politeness!” The Second Elder smiled lightly and nodded, feeling quite proud inside. He was also proud of having taken Ge Kaiyang as a disciple in the past.

If not for this, talents like the Jade-faced Judge, if they had gone to work for someone else, wouldn’t he have lost a capable general on his side!
