Supreme Warrior in the City

The Second Elder glanced at Sect Leader Qi and said in a deep voice, ”Heavenly Court’s reputation was ruined long ago when Su Yang discovered it in your dungeon at the ends of the earth.”

Sect Leader Qi’s eyes flickered with a trace of coldness that was hard to detect, but his face was full of grievance, ”That incident was deliberately schemed by Heaven and Su Yang, it has nothing to do with our end of the earth!”

The Second Elder said nothing, staring at Sect Leader Qi for a while, seemingly trying to discern whether his words were true or false.

Sect Leader Qi felt extreme hatred in his heart, if it weren’t for the fact that he wasn’t fully prepared yet, he truly wanted to kill the Second Elder right then and there!

Eventually, the Second Elder turned his head to the side and said softly, ”Qi Zhishan is extremely foolish in both filial piety and loyalty. Whatever the Qi Family does, he will do as well. The Qi Family has sided with Heaven, so Qi Zhishan is definitely working for Heaven too. The fortunate thing for us is that Qi Zhishan hasn’t appeared during this period. Unfortunately, as soon as Qi Zhishan appears, he’ll be fully supporting Heaven, and then trouble will arise.”

”You’ve witnessed Beigong War God’s strength; Qi Zhishan’s power is not much weaker. Our current strength compared to Heaven is already lacking, and if Heaven gains Qi Zhishan as an ally, do you understand what that will mean for us?”

Sect Leader Qi felt extremely irritable, unable to pay full attention, but still nodded, indicating he was listening.

”I sent them to find Qi Zhishan not to recruit him, but to eliminate him,” said the Second Elder. ”This person might not serve us, but he absolutely cannot serve Heaven. Since he hasn’t yet joined Heaven, Heaven hasn’t particularly valued him; preemptively eliminating him will rid us of a powerful enemy ahead of time.”

Sect Leader Qi scratched his head and whispered, ”But why involve Ge Kaiyang in this matter? Sky Blade Peak’s Peak Master alone is sufficient to kill Qi Zhishan. Moreover, several experts from our four major sects have gone, Qi Zhishan doesn’t even have a chance to escape!”

”This plan was proposed by the Jade-faced Judge, so naturally, we can’t exclude his people from participation!” the Second Elder said softly. ”The Jade-faced Judge wants Ge Kaiyang to take over his role, so it’s necessary for Ge Kaiyang to accumulate some achievements, which is only right. Don’t concern yourself with these matters!”

In truth, Sect Leader Qi felt quite dissatisfied; although the Second Elder said so, the fact is, Ge Kaiyang is his disciple, and he’s obviously trying to help his own pupil.

Of course, Sect Leader Qi said no more. He came here mainly to gauge the Second Elder’s intentions. What the Second Elder just said made him completely revolt against the elder, and now he’s just looking for an opportunity to start a conflict.

After taking his leave of the Second Elder, Sect Leader Qi immediately hurried back to the place at the ends of the earth.

Upon entering the door, Qi Yongchuan quickly came up and asked, ”Father, how did it go?”

Sect Leader Qi looked indignant and said in a deep voice, ”That old scoundrel even used Su Yang’s matter in our dungeon to question me. It seems he has long decided to go against our ends of the earth. Stirring up these affairs to elevate his disciple, that old scoundrel wants to solidify his own position further!”

Qi Yongchuan was also instantly enraged, ”We are one of the four major sects and were supporters of his in the past, how dare he treat us this way?”

Sect Leader Qi glanced at Qi Yongchuan and sighed, ”In this world, strength is the most crucial thing. We are being targeted due to insufficient strength; it’s only natural. However, he won’t laugh for long. I will find a way to bring him down!”

Qi Yongchuan nodded repeatedly, then said, ”Oh yes, Father, Lord Ling just sent someone with a message, asking you to visit him for some important matters to discuss!”

”Sect Leader Ling!” A gleam of light flashed in Sect Leader Qi’s eyes, and he nodded slowly, ”Alright, I’ll go and pay him a visit.”

Sect Leader Qi left his residence, concealed himself, and headed alone to where Ling Xiao Pavilion was situated.

Upon arrival, Sect Leader Qi reported his identity and was led to the inner chamber, where he saw Sect Leader Ling standing.

”Lord Ling!” Sect Leader Qi cupped his hands towards Sect Leader Ling and said, ”What is the matter that you need me for?”

Sect Leader Ling returned the gesture and handed a letter to him, saying in a deep voice, ”Sect Leader Qi, look at this!”

Sect Leader Qi was surprised, took the letter and looked at it for a while, his expression changed dramatically, and he said in a deep voice, ”This... where did this come from? The contents inside... they’re all false, all false...”

Sect Leader Ling took back the first letter and handed another one over, saying in a deep voice, ”Look at this one!”

Sect Leader Qi took the second letter and looked at it for a while, then froze. The first letter contained some dark history of the ends of the earth, including past favors received from Su Zhan and Qinghe Academy, as well as other shameful deeds done by the ends of the earth, including an assassination attempt on a disciple of Sky Blade Peak!

These contents were indeed true, but revealing such things now was akin to a catastrophe for the ends of the earth. People already suspected the ends of the earth, and if these matters came out now, wouldn’t other sects think that the ends of the earth might secretly be colluding with Su Yang, perhaps even helping Su Yang? The ends of the earth would truly be finished.

Therefore, after reading the letter, Sect Leader Qi vehemently denied it.

However, after reading the second letter, he was dumbfounded. The second letter contained the dark history of Ling Xiao Pavilion, similar to the ends of the earth’s situation, including some past events where Ling Xiao Pavilion had snatched elixir pills from Medicine Sect, all clearly recorded here.

Sect Leader Qi knew the contents of the first letter were true, so he was very aware that the contents of the second letter were likely true as well.

Now, the question arises. Who wrote these letters, and what is their intention?

”Who wrote these letters?” Sect Leader Qi asked in a deep voice.

Sect Leader Ling stood at the door and said softly, ”Who wrote them is not important; the key is to whom they were intended.”

Sect Leader Qi nodded, indeed, the most critical point is the intended recipient.

”These were found on one of our disciples from Ling Xiao Pavilion!” Sect Leader Ling said in a deep voice, ”They were intended for Medicine Sect’s Second Elder!”

”What!?” Sect Leader Qi’s face changed urgently, they were intended for Medicine Sect’s Second Elder, is this meant to force both of their sects into a corner? If the Second Elder got hold of this information, wouldn’t they exhaust their means to target them next?
