Unlimited Top-ups, the Most Lavish Pay-to-win Live Streams Ever

23: Chapter 23 The Black Wolf Knight Legion[Live Stream Ended]

”Whew—”

As the message indicating the end of the live stream appeared, Fu Hao’s tense nerves instantly relaxed, and his whole body felt as if it had been pulled away from a high-voltage current, letting out a long breath.

”The path no one has walked before certainly generates enough buzz, but there are far too many variables.”

He muttered to himself, his tone laced with lingering fear. If he had been wiped out by Xiao Jin’s tail just now and triggered the 24-hour entry ban, not only would today’s stream be ruined, but the ’Pay-to-Win Monster’ image he had worked so hard to build would completely collapse. He realized once again that exploring uncharted territory, while tempting, hid countless lethal variables.

”Leonhardt has probably suffered quite a few setbacks due to miscalculations himself, right?”

Being able to sit firmly at the top of the combat power rankings was already unbelievable—though Fu Hao did not yet know that in the future, he would personally deliver to Leonhardt the ’most ridiculous way to die.’

”I originally intended to showcase this during the live stream...”

Fu Hao decided to test the Summon Enhancement skill early. This was the core ability of the hidden class ’Enhancement Master’ and one of the mechanics that garnered the most attention from Viewers. After all, hidden classes with the title of ’Master’ always concealed heaven-defying abilities capable of overturning the status quo.

He pulled up the skill description interface:

Type: Active

Level: None

Effect: Consumes a Summoned Beast of the same rank as material to enhance the target Summoned Beast.

Success Rate: Fixed 100%, higher ranks require more materials.

”It would be great if I could consume materials across different ranks... but that would be too overpowered, wouldn’t it?”

Fu Hao frowned, yet he couldn’t help but grin. Having long ago sealed away his conscience, his greed knew no bounds—the more he possessed, the more his desires expanded; this was his creed.

”Summon Enhancement.”

As the activation phrase was spoken, a dedicated enhancement interface appeared before his eyes. He chose a Hero-Rank Spirit that ’looked like an eyesore’ as his test subject.

[Selected Hero-Rank Summoned Beast ”High-Level Fire Spirit Salamander”]

Current Enhancement Level: +0

Target Level: +1

Required Materials: Hero-Rank Summoned Beast × 1

Success Rate: 100%

Although he needed to confirm the specific effects after enhancement, the player ”Viewer” had once uploaded a detailed video to the community of a Salamander growing from level 1 to max level, which was enough to save him a round of testing.

”Salamander, become the material.”

[Enhancement Successful]

The list of attributes after enhancement appeared, looking identical to the +0 state on the surface:

Rank: Hero

Level: 1

Description: Uses spirit magic to attack enemies; skills can be unlocked as level increases.

”The description hasn’t changed... let’s test it in actual combat.”

He immediately summoned the Salamander.

It was a spirit whose entire body burned with eerie blue flames, its silhouette long and lithe like a lizard, its eyes revealing a hint of emotion as if seeking instructions from its master.

”See that monster over there? Go kill it, then come back.”

The Salamander darted out rapidly, gliding across the ground with a halo of flames, and Fu Hao nodded in satisfaction.

”An obedient Summoned Beast is truly gratifying. Xiao Jin... you need to learn from this.”

The Salamander cast a basic fire-type magic—Fireball—at the target monster.

But it took seven consecutive shots to barely kill it.

”No way, is this enhancement as much of a trap as equipment enhancement? I can’t see any improvement at all.”

Suppressing a foreboding feeling, he turned to test a Rare-Rank ’Polar Bear.’ By the time he enhanced it all the way to +5, the number of required materials had reached 32 of the same type of Summoned Beast—it was indeed an exponential increase; calculating it out, +10 would require 1023.

”Xiao Jin... better not enhance you. How many pulls would I need to get a Mythical Rank to +10? Ten days? One hundred days? A year?”

While lamenting the cruelty of fate, he switched targets. This time it was a Common-Rank ’Black Wolf’—the recognized top-tier existence among Common Summoned Beasts.

Enhancement didn’t require manual hammering like equipment enhancement; as an ’Enhancement Master,’ he only needed to click confirm. He clicked ten times in a row, enhancing the Black Wolf to +10 within three seconds.

Rank: Common

Level: 1

Description: A wolf with jet-black fur, its size and strength are considered top-tier among its kind.

Attack/Defense +30%

Movement Speed/Attack Speed +30%

Skill Effect +100%

Removes Summoned Beast system restrictions

Can evolve to the next stage at level 300

”The stat increase is indeed exaggerated... but at the end of the day, it’s still Common-Rank.”

To verify the attack power changes not listed on the panel, he summoned a level 10 monster as a test subject.

”Go, attack.”

”Woof woof!”

With a low growl, the Black Wolf darted out like the wind, its front paws instantly striking the monster as it released a skill.

[Summoned Beast ’Black Wolf (+10)’ leveled up.]

[Summoned Beast ’Black Wolf (+10)’ leveled up.]

”Oh?”

Facing the target that had taken the Salamander seven attacks to resolve, the Black Wolf killed it in a single blow. He further tested it against a level 30 monster—although it managed to skirmish for five minutes using speed and agility without being killed, its output was still far inferior to Xiao Jin.

”As expected, there is still a cap to enhancement for Common-Rank Summoned Beasts.”

However, his gaze immediately fell on the last two lines of the enhancement effects:

Removes Summoned Beast system restrictions

Can evolve at level 300

”System restrictions removed... what does that mean?”

As he pondered the meaning, a sudden thought struck him. While keeping the Black Wolf summoned, he attempted to summon a Rare-Rank Polar Bear—and it actually worked.

”Holy crap?”

The setting that non-Tamer classes could only summon 1 Summoned Beast had been completely shattered by this +10 Black Wolf. He suddenly recalled that even Tamer-class players could only control a maximum of 3 Summoned Beasts at once, yet he, as an ’Enhancement Master,’ could actually break fundamental rules through enhancement.

Even better, ’Removes Summoned Beast system restrictions’ likely didn’t just refer to the quantity limit; it might also break summoning distance, cooldown times, and so on.

”If I can mass-enhance Black Wolves to form a legion... territory defense, auto-grinding, or even guild wars...”

A spectacular image emerged in his mind: hundreds of Black Wolves patrolling the territory, forming an unceasing auto-grinding system, churning out resources endlessly like a perpetual motion machine.

”It’s still early, but when the conditions are ripe... hehe.”

The corners of Fu Hao’s mouth slowly curled up, his smile filled with bone-chilling ambition. Even if ’Chaos’ were here, she would have to steer clear.

The Black Wolf Knight Legion plan had already quietly taken shape.

At this moment, he had not yet realized that this plan would unleash the most terrifying storm in the history of the otherworld.

Recalling the humiliation of having once been crushed by the five top guilds, a cold, chilling glint flashed in Fu Hao’s eyes.

”Those five guilds that trampled our guild back then had better start praying now.”

His ultimate goal was to surpass Leonhardt. But for now, just with this embryonic legion and territory, he could already vaguely see the dawn of revenge.

”Just you wait, I’ll come looking for you soon. Before that, enjoy this hypocritical ’world’.”

He logged out of the game, that cold, confident smile still hanging on his face.

A man’s dream should be this grand.

—From this perspective, he was truly a ’man among men.’
