Unlimited Top-ups, the Most Lavish Pay-to-win Live Streams Ever

16: Chapter 16: Are you going to give me territory?Fu Hao wandered around the royal palace, mulling over the thought of ”where should I hold my gacha stream?”

Although he had just found a random, secluded corner for his first enhancement stream, he now averaged over a hundred thousand viewers per broadcast. If he were to run off to the wilderness to stream again, he would undoubtedly be swarmed instantly by dozens, if not hundreds, of onlookers and beggars—such was the fate of a top-tier streamer.

Although the otherworld system came with an anti-tracking mechanism, those settings were practically useless if he ran into fanatical fans. As a streamer, avoiding trouble whenever possible was a lesson learned from experience.

Just as Fu Hao was hesitating about whether to go to an inn to stream, a voice suddenly came from behind him: ”Hey, you.”

He paused, turned around, and saw the First Prince, whom he had met yesterday, walking towards him with a group of NPCs, looking grave.

”Your Highness, the First Prince, thanks to you, I was able to make good use of the exclusive monster-grinding zone. I am truly grateful.”

”I know,” the First Prince nodded. ”You used it for sixteen hours, right?”

”Yes, but...” Just as Fu Hao revealed a look of surprise, as if to say ”How did you know?”, the First Prince spoke directly: ”I sent trusted aides to monitor you. If there was any offense, please forgive me.”

”Not at all, you are too polite.”

Fu Hao thought to himself: ”You wanted to snatch my entry ticket yesterday, and now you’re apologizing? Could it be that you’re planning to offer compensation?” Fu Hao responded perfunctorily, but his intuition told him that he had likely triggered a quest.

”I have something to ask, and I hope you will answer truthfully.”

”Very well, please speak.”

”When we first met yesterday, was your level truly at Level 1?”

”Yes.”

”And you are already Level 100 now?”

”Yes, exactly Level 100.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the NPCs behind the First Prince became restless. The First Prince took a deep breath, his voice even trembling: ”Then... would you be willing to tell me the secret to your rapid leveling?”

”No.” Fu Hao almost thought this noble had lost his mind—was he supposed to truthfully explain his cheat-like leveling speed by saying, ”I’m a born lucky person, I pulled a +10 weapon, and I got hidden rewards for free?” Who would believe that?

”Ah, apologies, I spoke without thinking in my haste.” The First Prince lowered his voice, his brows filled with anxiety. ”To be honest, I have an unavoidable predicament. I must make 100 recruits grow as fast as possible within 3 months. Can you help me with this?”

As soon as the First Prince finished speaking, a quest notification box popped up in front of Fu Hao:

Difficulty: Immeasurable

Prince Carlson of the Rowen Kingdom implores you to assist in rapidly training 100 recruits. Three months later, these recruits will engage in a phantom simulation battle against the personal guards of the Second Prince and the Third Prince. Only by achieving the best results will the First Prince be qualified to be invested as the Crown Prince.

Quest Completion Conditions: - Achieve the best results in the simulation battle.

Quest Rewards: - Baron Title and Baron Territory - First Prince Favorability increased to ”Friendly” - Title ”Benefactor of the Royal Family” - Title ”Master of Talent Cultivation”

Quest Failure Penalty: - First Prince Favorability reduced to ”Hostile”

After reading the quest description, Fu Hao screamed internally, ”This is a huge score!” —

”A Baron title and a territory?”

Currently, every player in the entire server who holds a noble title is a top-tier player, and it requires spending a massive amount of time grinding for merit for a specific country to even have a chance of achieving it.

Although Fu Hao had infinite spending power, he couldn’t transfer it to other users due to trading restrictions, meaning he couldn’t acquire resources directly. However, a territory would allow him to recruit NPC residents, completely freeing him from the passive situation of ”spending money to buy resources.”

What’s even better is that territory management itself is a popular theme on the streaming platform. If he paired that with his ”money power,” the effect would be unimaginable.

Without hesitation, he immediately accepted the quest: ”I can help you with this!”

[Quest Accepted]

”That’s wonderful! If you can really train elite soldiers, I will definitely reward you handsomely.”

”Please rest assured, leave it to me.” Fu Hao patted his chest in assurance—these recruits were about to experience an unprecedented ”pay-to-win crash course,” no, a ”money power special training.”

”Five days later, I will personally select qualified recruits and send them to the royal palace to meet with you. You will be frequently entering and leaving the royal palace then, so here is your access token.”

Fu Hao took the token and suddenly remembered the matter of the streaming location: ”Your Highness, may I ask if the royal palace allows others to enter?”

”Apart from you, no one else can enter voluntarily.”

”I see. Then we shall meet in five days.”

Watching Fu Hao’s departing back as he left in high spirits, the First Prince muttered to himself: ”What a unique person.”

”Your Highness, are you really so confident in placing your hopes on him?”

”I have no other choice. I can only take a gamble and place my hope in this person who creates miracles.”

--- In the mall gacha system, the Summoned Beast and accessory gacha can be called a ”pay-to-win black hole”:

The first sin: Price. A single accessory gacha pull costs 1,500, and the Summoned Beast gacha is even more exaggerated, at 5,000 per pull.

The second sin: Probability. Compared to the 1/700 probability of ”needing 70,000 unboxings to get 100 exclusive monster-grinding zone entry tickets,” the drop rate for top-tier rewards in the Summoned Beast and accessory gacha is despairingly low.

The third sin: Gacha animation. Unlike other unboxing systems where you get items directly, these two systems have flashy animations. A single pull with the animation takes 30 seconds.

”A 10-pull without skipping the animation averages 30 seconds.” Fu Hao estimated the gacha efficiency while flipping through the data. ”I stream six hours a day, excluding various errors, I can probably pull about 7,000 times... Let me check the probability table first.”

- Normal Rank: 95% - Rare Rank: 4.5% - Hero Rank: 0.49% - Legendary Rank: 0.0099% - Mythical Rank: 0.0001%

- The probability of appearance for Summoned Beasts of the same rank is equal. - Summoned Beast types: Normal 2,720 types / Rare 510 types / Hero 165 types / Legendary 40 types / Mythical 19 types.

”Damn! This is too much of a scam!” Even Fu Hao, who had been dumping tens of millions of crystals every day recently, couldn’t help but curse when seeing these probabilities.

In the player community, ”Legendary” and ”Mythical” rank Summoned Beasts are considered the top-tier existence. Based on the current drop rates, wanting to pull one Legendary rank would cost at least over ten million, and Mythical Rank? That starts at five billion!

”I even wanted to rely on streaming to pull a Mythical Rank... At this rate, I might not even have a chance if I pulled until the end of time.”

For him, time was far more precious than money. He not only had to charge for the top of the combat power rankings but also had to maintain his top-tier popularity; he simply couldn’t waste an entire month on gacha.

Settling for less, he decided to pull a few Legendary rank Summoned Beasts to make do: ”But just pulling Legendary ranks is too boring...”

He had originally planned to wait 4 days for the ”Fates Luck” skill cooldown to finish so he could use it to craft a second +10 weapon, but with quests and streaming content piling up like a mountain, weapon enhancement had to be postponed.

In the end, Fu Hao decided to use ”Fates Luck” to gamble for a Mythical Rank Summoned Beast: ”With the guaranteed critical hit effect, I shouldn’t fail, right?”
