Chapter 738: The King’s New Order [Part-3]

The King’s New Order [Part-3]

His words came slow but sure. For standing by him, gratitude followed. You stayed, so he spoke without rush

A small tilt of Ronan’s head broke the stillness.

A small dip of his head was all he offered.

Johny straightened.

His voice shifted suddenly.

A hush settled where heat once lingered, giving way to a presence more solid, one that hummed beneath stillness like an unspoken rule. Quiet strength took shape in the cooling air.

Starting now... Leon went on, eyes moving slow over the three men in front of him, that weight gets dropped

A weight settled where the voice had been. Silence followed, rippling outward.

Heads snapped upward at once - three of them, eyes lifting without delay.

Ronan’s posture straightened.

A flicker of interest showed in Black’s gaze, his eyes tightening just a touch.

His eyes fluttered shut then open, a flicker of shock passing across his face.

His fingers danced on the wooden armrest, a quiet rhythm beneath his words. The throne held him like an old friend, steady while he talked.

”The ministries will now be divided properly.”

A shadow crossed Black’s face, a small shift in his posture betraying thought. His gaze lingered, head angling slowly under quiet reflection.

His eyes met Ronan’s for just a moment. A silent signal passed between them before either looked away.

One could tell they got Leon’s meaning, though silence hung between them still.

Footsteps echoed as Leon spoke, steady in tone yet firm beneath the words.

”You will no longer carry the entire weight of governance alone.”

Surprise flickered across Ronan’s face - just a twitch of his brows. Not much moved him, so even that small shift stood out.

After a long look at Leon, he finally opened his mouth to speak.

”My king,” began Ronan, slow and careful like someone stepping on ice, ”could it be you’re planning fresh appointments among the ministers?”

”Yes.”

Faster than a blink, Leon replied. Not even a pause touched his words. Straight out they came, clear and fixed in place.

Firm words came out fast. Not a single break between them.

Just certainty.

A flicker crossed Black’s face, then slowly gave way to a small grin. His lips curled upward just slightly.

”That is wise.”

A quiet exhale slipped out through Johny’s nose, any hint of shock now vanished from his expression. Nodding once - like someone who finally sees how things fit together - he looked convinced.

”Very wise.”

Fingers drumming on fabric, Ronan crossed his arms tight. A quiet voice came out, watching Leon close. Curiosity hid beneath the stillness.

”Then may we ask,” he said, ”who these new ministers will be?”

For a moment, Leon stayed quiet. Then silence stretched before he spoke.

Across from the ministers, a pair of gold-flecked eyes found their mark - landing on the women who stood still, just beyond. Not one word had come from them before that second. Yet when he looked, breaths slowed. A hush curled through the stone room like mist under doorways.

”My wives.”

The room fell silent.

Not the awkward kind of silence.

The kind where everyone processes something they already half-expected.

For a brief moment.

Then—

Black nodded.

Johny nodded.

Ronan nodded.

Not one of them looked surprised.

”Of course, my king,” Black said calmly, as if Leon had merely confirmed what was already obvious. His faint smile widened a little. ”That makes perfect sense.”

Johny tilted his head slightly, a small amused curve forming on his lips.

”If that is your decision,” he said, tone light but respectful, ”then I believe the kingdom will benefit from it.”

Ronan spoke last.

”The king’s will is the kingdom’s law.”

None of them argued.

None of them hesitated.

Because in their minds—

Leon’s judgment had already been proven countless times.

Black shifted his stance and crossed his arms, looking thoughtful rather than doubtful.

”Your wives are intelligent and capable,” he said simply. ”Anyone who has spent time around them can see that.”

Johny gave a small shrug, glancing briefly toward the women.

”And loyal,” he added. ”That matters more than titles.”

Ronan nodded once.

”They will serve well.”

Behind them, the women exchanged quiet glances.

Some amused.

Some thoughtful.

Syra leaned slightly toward Nova, lowering her voice just enough that only the women nearby could hear.

”That was easier than expected.”

Nova’s lips curved faintly as she looked toward Leon sitting on the throne.

”They trust him,” she replied quietly.

Cynthia stood with her arms crossed, eyes sharp and thoughtful as she studied the ministers in front of them.

”And now they must trust us.”

Syra smirked a little at that.

”Well,” she murmured, ”let’s try not to disappoint them.”

Leon watched the room carefully.

Not just the ministers.

Everyone.

He observed the reactions, the subtle expressions, the calm acceptance spreading through the hall.

Then he nodded once.

”Good.”

Ronan stepped forward slightly, his boots echoing softly across the polished stone floor.

”My king,” he said, bowing his head respectfully, ”if that is the case...”

He lifted his gaze again.

”May we ask which queen will oversee which ministry?”

Leon smiled faintly.

”That is exactly what I was about to announce.”

He leaned forward slightly in the throne, the golden frame catching the light as his posture shifted.

”Now listen carefully.”

The throne hall fell silent again.

Even the faint rustle of clothing seemed to disappear.

Because the moment had arrived.

The moment when the kingdom of Nagarath would gain its new rulers.

And Leon, sitting upon the golden throne beneath the banner of the seven-headed naga, prepared to name them.
