Chapter 717: A King, Sixty Women, and an Absolutely Wild Night [Part-4]

A King, Sixty Women, and an Absolutely Wild Night [Part-4]

Rias leaned back again dramatically.

”Tragic,” she sighed. ”Responsibility truly ruins everything.”

Leon looked down at her.

”You all helping too.”

Her eyes widened.

”...I take back everything I said.”

Leon smiled as he lifted his hand and stretched himself upright slowly. His bones gave a faint series of cracks as his back straightened.

His muscles protested quietly—not with pain, but with the dull heaviness of fatigue layered over long hours of exertion and lingering satisfaction.

The movement didn’t go unnoticed.

Across the hall, the women’s eyes drifted toward him almost immediately. Conversations faded. A few of the maids who had been tidying the room slowed... then stopped entirely.

More than one gaze lingered.

A hush settled over the space before Leon noticed. His fingers combed back strands of black hair without thought. Only when silence pressed in did he turn, eyes scanning faces frozen mid-motion. A single brow rose, inch by slow inch.

That was when he finally saw it.

Somehow he’d done it once more - each woman there left blinking through confusion. A quiet kind of chaos settled where words used to be. Their thoughts snarled without his notice. Staring at spaces he no longer filled, they found silence heavier than before.

Out of nowhere, a lopsided grin tugged one side of his lips upward.

”You all look dangerous,” he said.

Silence held the room, just for a breath. Then nobody spoke.

Not far off, a few women stayed spread out - leaning here, seated there, others just fixed on him as if their minds had wandered too far down an odd path.

Syra blinked first.

Off the marble pillar went her back, having leaned there awhile. A soft scoff slipped from Natasha close to the stairs.

”Alright, alright... snap out of it,” Syra said, waving a hand in front of Sona’s face. ”Come back to the world of the living.”

Sona blinked slowly.

”I am calm,” she said softly, yet a hint of color in her face told another story.

A quiet chuckle slipped out of Rias as she lounged on the edge of a chair. ”Calm? You looked like your soul left your body.”

”That did not happen,” Sona insisted.

Syra leaned closer, lowering her voice dramatically. ”You were staring at Leon like a lost kitten.”

”I was not.”

”You were.”

”Syra.”

”I’m just saying.”

A few of the maids tried to compose themselves, straightening their clothing and smoothing their hair as if that alone might restore their dignity.

Natasha finally spoke.

”Dangerous?” Natasha echoed from near the staircase, leaning back casually against a marble pillar with her arms crossed.

Leon glanced toward her, amused.

”Yes,” he replied. ”If the gods of heaven saw this, they might die in jealousy.”

That earned a round of quiet chuckles.

Syra grinned immediately. ”Then good thing they’re not invited.”

Tsubaki nod her head in agreement, standing near the far wall, adjusted her posture with disciplined calm, though a faint stiffness still lingered in her movements.

Sona slowly pushed herself upright, brushing loose strands of hair from her face.

Her voice was softer than the others.

”We should bathe,” she said gently. ”The estate smells like sex and war of love.”

Syra burst out laughing.

”War?” she said, wiping the corner of her eye. ”That was not war. That was celebration.”

”Call it whatever you want,” Cynthia added from nearby, her tone practical as always. ”But we need water.”

Rias stretched lazily, arching her back before sliding off the chair.

”There’s the natural pond behind the inner gardens,” she said. ”Clear water. Quiet place.”

Leon nodded once.

”Then we bathe there.”

Kyra hesitated.

Arms folded tight, her gaze drifted sideways - to the high windows framing the rolling acres below.

”How exactly do you expect us to go outside?” she asked. ”The place is surrounded by guards. They are there for protection... but if they saw us bathing in the open, what then?”

A few maidsglanced at one another, shifting their weight. Their eyes met briefly, filled with quiet worry.

Leon simply smiled.

Not smug.

Not teasing.

Just calm.

”Don’t worry.”

He folded his arms loosely.

”I placed layered barriers before the second night began,” he said evenly. ”Nothing within two kilometers can see inside.”

A single breath held tight. Silence took hold.

A few of the maids stared, caught mid-thought by his words. Silence settled, not sharp but dazed - like when you finally see moves that were made long before you noticed.

Cynthia shifted her head just a bit, strands of dark hair sliding past one shoulder while she looked at him. Was it something he’d thought about before? That’s what she wondered out loud, interest creeping into her words.

A quiet chuckle slipped out from Rias. ”Seems like you didn’t expect that.”

Cynthia looked her way. Wasn’t that what she was supposed to do?

Back a little, Leon stayed on his feet, eyes fixed on them - quiet, faintly entertained. A stillness sat around him while he took it in.

Rias folded her arms, one eyebrow arching. ”You’ve known him long enough,” she said lightly. ”Planning ahead is practically a habit for him.”

Nova snorted softly. ”Or paranoia.”

A soft laugh slipped out of Leon, his lips twitching into a half-smile. The moment hung there, just slightly tilted.

”Yes,” he said casually, folding his arms. ”Because I am king.”

Nova rolled her eyes immediately. ”Overconfident king,” she muttered, though the faint curve of her lips betrayed the teasing tone.

Rias laughed under her breath. ”Confident kings tend to survive longer.”

”And arrogant ones,” Nova shot back, ”tend to get stabbed.”

Leon shrugged slightly, completely unfazed. ”Good thing I’m still here then.”

A few of the other women chuckled quietly.

Leon rose fully to his feet then, stretching his shoulders slightly. The simple motion drew more than one pair of eyes toward him. He noticed, of course—Leon noticed everything—but he only smiled to himself.

He reached out silently, his palm open as Rias stayed seated close by.

He gave a small laugh. ”Come on,” he added, voice soft.

Rias lifted one brow, watching him with a quiet smirk. ”Helping me up now?”

”Always,” Leon replied.

Into his hand she slid hers, no pause at all. Up he brought her, steady and fluid, rising like morning light on still water.

From where they stood, a few of the women started to rise, one after another. Reaching high, some lifted their arms toward the sky while others worked kinks from their necks. A giggle slipped out here, then murmured words there - like notes passed under classroom desks. Their voices floated, light but close.

The estate maids had already mid- restoring the hall.

Estate head maid, quietly directed a few of them with gentle gestures.

”Careful with that corner,” she said softly. ”Yes... there.”

One of the younger maids paused in the middle of adjusting a chair. She hesitated, then turned toward Leon.

”My king...”

Leon looked at her.
