Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 981: Chapter 428: Reincarnation Is Also a Science

Angerong’s arrival turned the chat between two people into one among three. The World-Devourer Primarch jumped off his Horned Eagle Beast mount, bringing a few cans of freshly brewed Tiriel Cat Poop Coffee, two strings of deer jerky, and some bottles of brandy.

Brandy is also a famous wine from Brittania. Made from white grapes, it is mainly produced in the southern part of Brittania and renowned throughout the Old World. The best brandy comes from the Paragon Duchy. It’s said that this wine was brewed from the white grape varieties given to the first Duke of Paragon, Agirgel, by the Wood Elves of Aisloron, following a camaraderie formed through fighting side by side.

In return, the first Duke of Paragon, Agirgel, named the wine ”Remy Martin” to commemorate his Wood Elf and Centaur friends.

Only twelve to fifteen bottles of Remy Martin are produced annually in Paragon, with each bottle priced over two hundred Gold Crowns. Casvan annually tributes two bottles to the Knight King, two to the Lake God Witch, and trades three with the Imperial Rick Territory, storing the rest deep in his castle. After Casvan was captured in the Battle of Hemgart, his wife immediately brought out three boxes of Remy Martin from their castle to pay more than half of the ransom on the spot, which led to Casvan’s quick release by the Empire.

”So... Brother, how did you get these two bottles of Remy Martin Brandy?” Laine looked a bit conflicted, setting aside the newspaper and staring at the two bottles of Remy Martin in Angerong’s hand, which bore the yellow Pegasus Badge of Duke of Paragon, Casvan. From Laine’s seven-year stay in Brittania, he could tell they were genuine.

”These? I stole them.” Angerong placed them on the long table in the open courtyard, speaking casually.

”Stole them?” Laine eyed his brother with skepticism, quipping, ”Brother, didn’t you promise me you wouldn’t rob human caravans anymore?”

”I didn’t rob anyone~” Angerong waved his big hand and laughed heartily, ”I took these from the Green Skin’s hands! All of them!”

Angerong sat across from Laine, recounting the events to him.

Apparently, Angerong had gone ”exploring” in the Gray Mountain Range the past few days and happened upon the Paragon Duke’s caravan being ambushed by a Green Skin Tribe on the ”Path of the Grey Lady.” This caravan, carrying valuable goods for trade with the Imperial Rick Territory, had chosen to traverse Axe Bite Pass on an originally safe trade route.

It’s known that Axe Bite Pass was destroyed, forcing this caravan to take the Path of the Grey Lady, where they were caught between the Undead Army and the Green Skin Tribe, tragically leading to their complete annihilation, with the five knights leading them and over a hundred escorts all meeting their end.

Angerong expressed his deep condolences, then the World-Devourer Primarch descended from the sky, wielding his left battle axe at the Undead Army and his right at the Green Skin Tribe.

”Robbery, hand over everything and I’ll grant you a swift end.”

”That’s how I got these two bottles of Remy Martin,” Angerong explained, claiming he compassionately buried the caravan. As for the goods, they couldn’t be left to waste in the snow; he gladly accepted them, carrying off the most valuable brandy, deer jerky, several cans of cat poop coffee, two fine rolls of silk, and two wooden crates of goods, based on what the Horned Eagle Beast could bear.

Laine was left speechless by Angerong’s rogue behavior. He opened his mouth for a while but couldn’t find words to criticize Angerong. In every sense, Angerong seemed to have done nothing wrong. Taking the goods from the Green Skin’s grasp was justified. When dealing with those despicable creatures, foul play was the way, and both the Empire and Brittania agreed; dead Green Skins were the best kind.

”Try some, brother. It’s a rare chance to come by two bottles of fine goods, hehe.” Angerong poured Laine a glass, filling one for Ollica as well.

”The fragrant, rich, and lingering Remy Martin is truly a world-famous delicacy of the Old World,” Laine remarked, swirling the glass. The amber liquid swirled within the crystal wine glass, ”It’s just a pity there’s so little of it made.”

Incidentally, these crystal wine glasses were also ”procured” by Angerong.

His wife Surya’s Duke of Winford’s Family owns the sole Super First Level winery in the Old World and two of the five First Level wineries. The super first-level wine, ”Lysa Lus,” has a production of about six to eight hundred bottles every three years, barely meeting the banquet demands of the Empire and Brittania’s great nobles. In contrast, Remy Martin’s annual yield of merely twelve to fifteen bottles meant it was destined not to be widely sampled.

”It’s good,” Ollica commented after a small sip of the brandy. The Dark Elf nodded, ”Even though humans fall far behind elves in winemaking skills, the variety of the flavor manifests deep within its profound taste.”

Angerong was indifferent to Ollica’s critique, having no intention to argue with Laine’s maid. Instead, he shifted his focus to the newspaper on the table, ”Is this the ’Legion Banner’? What are those sand-headed guys from the Military Affairs Department blabbering to our loyal yet foolish soldiers?”

”Did Brother also enjoy reading ’Weekly One Article’?” Laine grew curious.

”Of course. I liked reading it back when I served Khorne as a Demon Prince. The papers obtained from those bigwigs could provide Cain and me several minutes of chuckles,” Angerong shrugged them off after a cursory glance, the contents losing his interest. ”This soldier named Perkins is lucky. The Green Skin’s motor vehicle surely malfunctioned and blew up to be taken out by a volley shot. Surrounded by Green Skins, he probably just brandished his bayonet, ready to face death, but then Zhuangsen came.”
