Chapter 960: Chapter 418: This Wasn’t Part of the Plan! (3)

(From this, it can be seen how formidable the Vampire Count Manfred is, being able to master both Death Element Magic and Undead Element Magic simultaneously.)

As a Death Element Sanctuary Grandmaster, Elspeth was highly sensitive to Undead Magic. This Lady of Nuer raised her hand, and a powerful Death Wind blew through the entire castle!

Immediately after, Tomb Rose and the Grand Judge of Nuer arrived in front of the Holy Grail Knights and the Dukes. She presented her identity proof of being a Supreme Mage from the Imperial Royal Wizard Academy’s Amethyst Academy and the Nuer Black Base Balance Gold Lion City emblem to everyone. With a low, hoarse voice, she informed those present that vampires had infiltrated the castle and were attempting to summon undead!

Upon hearing Elspeth’s news, Duke Bodric closed his eyes tightly, his hands trembling as he tried to suppress immense anger and asked his steward, ”So, you’re saying that undead have infiltrated my castle? And we knew nothing about it?”

”I, I don’t know, my Duke!” The steward shivered and knelt down, ”I really don’t know. The Magic Barrier is managed by the Court Wizard. I just... I just arranged the defenses, and I’m sure no one could enter the venue without an invitation, except...”

”Except?” Duke Bohemond sat steadily at the head of the round table, unmoved, ”Make it clear.”

”Except for those five peasants arranged for the performance!” The steward pointed to the corpses of the five peasants killed on the spot.

Now, everyone realized what had happened.

”This is a conspiracy! An organized and premeditated conspiracy!” Laine immediately stood up and said to Duke Bodric, ”Creating chaos, driving the peasants mad, then infiltrating the castle to summon undead creatures, the vampires aim to trap us all!”

”The banquet is over! Immediately reorganize the guards and transfer the guests to a safe location. Steward, return all the confiscated weapons to the knights! All knights and soldiers who have received their weapons, come with me!” Holy Grail Knight Fedmond stood up promptly, drew the sword from his waist, and declared, ”For the Lady! Prepare for battle! Prepare for battle!”

”For the Lady!” Under Fedmond’s command, the knights quickly evacuated the guests, while the Holy Grail Knights and the Dukes at the round table loudly ordered their attendants to don their armor for combat!

Elspeth nodded and began using magic to find the location of the Undead Mage, as the Death Wind blew through the castle, disturbing the Magic Wind.

Meanwhile, in the corner of Bodlukes Castle.

The Boldro Court Wizard responsible for raising the Magic Barrier had been killed by Mathew Bade. This traitor took advantage of the chaos from the Dragon Quest, diverting most of the guards. The two remaining guards thought Mathew Bade was a lost guest: ”Sir, you cannot pass here!”

”Die!” Mathew Bade drew the black sword brought in by the catapult, killing the guards with two strikes before rushing into the secret chamber to kill the Court Wizard responsible for raising the Magic Barrier with the black sword in hand.

Maintaining a meditative state to sustain the Magic Barrier, the Court Wizard had no response to external happenings until he was stabbed twice and awoke from his meditation.

Too late, he hadn’t issued a warning before being killed by Mathew Bade.

Under Mathew Bade’s orders, the Undead Mage Farah, brought into the castle by a catapult, immediately attempted to summon the Black Chalice Knights.

However, the plan changed.

Farah struggled to control his Undead Magic Energy, trying repeatedly to gather his Magic Power, yet was thwarted by the powerful Death Wind’s interference. After spending over ten minutes, the face of this Undead Mage grew increasingly pale and remained fruitless.

Mathew Bade stood nearby, sweating profusely, while the Duke of Musillon was extremely anxious, his eyes bloodshot, ”Farah! Not ready yet?! If we drag on, those Holy Grail Knights will react!”

”No! Death Wind interfered with my casting, and I can’t gather Magic Power to summon the Black Chalice Knights into the castle now!” Farah said in pain, ”A very powerful Death Element Sanctuary Grandmaster is interfering with my casting!”

”Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!!!” Mathew Bade felt like he had become a steak, being grilled on an iron plate! Anxiously pacing the room.

This was not according to plan!

Where did the Death Element Sanctuary Grandmaster come from?!
