Warhammer Divine Throne

The western coast of the Kingdom has been relatively quiet with the Dark Elf pirates recently, which finally allowed Richard to breathe a sigh of relief. However, when he gazed upon the Gray Mountains to the east of the Kingdom, his eyebrows, which had relaxed, furrowed once more.

Between the Duchy of Connet in Brittania and Marinburg lies a disputed territory that stretches for hundreds of kilometers. This land is known as ”Kulona Road,” and its historical ownership has always been ambiguous, because Brittania was once part of the Empire. Before Charlemagne established the Empire, dozens of tribes had migrated from what is now the Empire’s territory across to this side of the Gray Mountains, forming the Brittania people. After the Empire was established, more people migrated from the other side of the Gray Mountains to dwell here, mingling their bloodlines, making it hard to distinguish between them.

Therefore, both the Empire and Brittania have legal claims to this land. Currently, Brittania Knight General Roland Marshall, also known as Marshal Roland (Marshal being the meaning of Marshall) is leading three hundred knights and several thousand troops, diligently constructing castles and building villages on this vast, desolate marshland and forest land, aiming to take possession of this extensive area. Meanwhile, the Empire is not willing to be outdone, as Emperor Karl Franz has dispatched his trusted subordinate Kurt Heilberg to similarly lead the Empire’s troops in constructing castles and villages here, resulting in a standoff between the two sides.

And at the southern end of the Gray Mountains, the border skirmishes between Duke Casvan of Paragon and the Imperial Rick Territory have become increasingly intense. Richard knows that Duke Casvan is like a powder keg, ready to explode at the slightest provocation. He can only pray to the Lake Fairy that Casvan will remain rational and not cause more trouble.

Next, it was time for the report on the battle of Turis Castle. The report was sent by Duke Boldro Bodrick, who proudly yet angrily declared that Boldro had repelled the Vampire army through its own strength, without the need for the King’s support. Additionally, the report noted that Baron Gene, the Lady’s Divine Chosen Champion, and Holy Grail Knight Commander Laine had thoroughly ended the Blood Red Duke, completely eradicating this Vampire Lord who had plagued the Knight Kingdom with centuries of suffering.

”Again... Laine?” Richard frowned, speaking to an attendant beside him, ”The Blood Red Duke has been completely annihilated, Armand, it seems I’m going to lose you.”

”Yes, I once swore a deadly oath to the Lady that I would serve whoever could slay the Blood Red Duke,” said a knight’s attendant with long black hair, appearing to be around thirty years old.

He was Armand de Aquitaine, the King’s Standard Bearer and the last bloodline of the first Duke of Aquitaine, Fredermond.

”So be it, so be it, within the Kingdom, everyone is cheering and clapping over Laine’s destruction of the Blood Red Duke. Now that the Kingdom is beset on all sides, since Laine Macado has accomplished such a feat, well... let’s bestow him with a Count title then!” Richard shook his head helplessly. The King really didn’t like Laine, but he understood the primary and secondary contradictions; from a perspective of stability and morale, he indeed ought to make such a gesture.

”So, what Count title would be appropriate for him?” Richard’s hand moved over the map, finally landing his gaze on the interior of the Charon Forest, where once there was a Count title but was later abandoned.

”I remember the ancient name of this place... is Glamorgan?”
