Warhammer Divine Throne

The heavy sense of oppression made the Dark Elf hesitate slightly. Surya would be Laine’s future wife, and her attitude largely determined Ollica’s destiny. Though the female knight was generous and gentle, it didn’t mean she would simply let things be.

Surya was the Duke’s daughter, a typical Marchioness from a feudal Great Noble family. Her upbringing and stance dictated her actions, not her personality.

In the end, Ollica decided to reveal some details about her origins: ”Around over two hundred years ago, I was born in the distant and cold Naglos...”

Ollica briefly recounted her experiences. Whether it was Surya, Sylvia, or Amelia, all of them could see that the Dark Elf was holding back, but the female knight was already delighted because the Dark Elf was willing to open up.

Surya was not jealous, but she wouldn’t allow a woman of unclear origins to stay by Laine’s side; she couldn’t let Laine be in danger.

Ollica considered this, which is why she selectively disclosed some aspects of her origins. Then, she thought for a while before biting her lip and adding, ”There are some things I cannot say now, as promised to my master, Madame.”

Upon hearing the word ”Madame,” Surya smiled, having gotten what she wanted. This was a roundabout way for the Dark Elf to yield to her, to submit.

She had the support of the Lady. In the dream, the Lake Fairy had already given her instructions face to face.

The next evening, in the Cursed City, Musillon.

Everyone gathered in the inn’s large room, where a map was spread out on the wooden table. The two Half-Elves had returned, and Laine and others surrounded the table, discussing the situation.

Estelle’s robe was slightly torn. He and Des encountered few problems while tracking, but on their return, troubles arose. Musillon was a city where entry was strict and exit easy, so they had to explain that they were leaving the city to procure some special foods for the fat merchant before they were reluctantly allowed to pass, which resulted in Estelle and Des being strip-searched.

Still, Laine kept wondering why Estelle and Des kept covering their behinds even after being searched, ”What’s wrong with you? Did the gatekeeping Vampire do... that?”

”Laine, you rascal, I regret it.” The handsome Half-Elf painfully covered his behind, then whispered to Laine, ”That Vampire suspected we were secretly carrying contraband, and searched every part of me, including... that damned Vampire shoved his finger inside and rummaged for ages.”

”Pfft~” Demon Hunter Abel and Ju Le couldn’t help but laugh, while Veronica and Teresa tried desperately to stifle laughs, their faces turning red, and Jerald awkwardly turned away, pretending he didn’t hear.

None of the knights worshipping the Lake Fairy had such inclinations, perhaps because the Lake Fairy detested it immensely; conversely, there were many people like that in the Southern Realm.

”Hahaha~ dear Estelle and Des, this mission has been arduous. If we complete it smoothly, you’ll each get half a month off,” Laine laughed, vigorously patting Estelle’s back, ”How’s it going, can you walk?”

”For sure!” Estelle angrily pushed Laine’s hand away, ”You better give me enough time off.”

”No problem, folks, let’s have Estelle and Des tell us about the situation.”

”We tracked Old Dike’s convoy. It traveled approximately twenty kilometers, arriving at this place by the Grismore River,” Estelle pointed with his glove above the Grismore River.

”It’s a riverbank with sparse forests and hills for cover. The Vampires are constructing siege equipment here, using water power to build siege towers and weapons to transport directly to the front,” Jerald quickly judged.

”Hey, why not scout that nice spot directly instead of coming to Musillon?” Demon Hunter Abel expressed his doubts.

”Because along the Grismore River, there are dozens of similar places,” Teresa explained.

”Good, get ready, we’re leaving Musillon now and must reach there tonight,” Laine decided.

”Understood!”

As dusk approached, Laine’s group swiftly left Musillon. Since the city had always been strict on entry and lenient on exit, they encountered no trouble. They urged their carriages and rode their horses, hurrying out of the city and disappearing into chaotic wilds.

Mathew Bade received the news a bit late. The young Ranger Knight was still deeply concerned, but Witch Demon King Akhan found him, ”We should leave, my godson.”

”Godfather? Why?” Mathew Bade looked puzzled, ”Isn’t the matter reaching a critical point?”

”Yes, it’s halfway through, but we must leave and leave this matter to Manfred,” Akhan shook his head, ”We’re wasting too much time here.”

”But we haven’t captured Mogiana yet; we’ve only drained her magic power without attaining her form,” Mathew Bade knew the Witch Demon King had meticulous plans and left no loose ends, yet the young knight couldn’t accept leaving things unfinished.

Akhan slowly shook his head, its decayed face now only white bone with green flames deep within eye sockets, ”I can’t predict where Mogiana is. She might be hiding in several places. Our insiders in the Knight Kingdom tell me she’s protected; guessing the location isn’t hard, at most three or four, but how do we withstand attacks from dozens or even hundreds of Holy Grail Knights and extract her?”

Mathew Bade was speechless.

”Before the plan started, we could take time to prepare since our life is eternal. But once initiated, we must complete it swiftly, or risk unforeseen calamity,” Akhan whispered, ”Moreover, surely there are other fearsome powers in Brittania. I still can’t believe an entire Blood Knight fleet vanished within Charon Forest.”

”So, where are we going next?”

”To the south, Skaven’s Magic City, where Nagash’s Nine Volumes’ first book is hidden.”

......

Night fell on the banks of Grismore River, where dense woods and rolling hills concealed the riverside. After floods had washed through, numerous towns along the river had turned into ruins, providing ample space for Vampires to construct siege weapons and establish camps for further building siege towers.

Another set of large carts carrying stones and hardwood was brought into the camp. The guards stationed outside spotted Old Dike’s convoy from afar, shouting, ”You’re late again! Old Dike!”

”I am not late.” Sitting atop the cart, Old Dike replied with a blank expression.

”Hurry in, hurry in!” The guards were human hired by the Vampires as their slaves.

The convoy slowly moved inside.

”Such a strong wind!” Approaching summer, the wind blew intensely at night, making it hard for the guards on watchtower to open their eyes.

Hidden behind a thicket and small trees, Laine and his companions watched Estelle and Des: ”It’s all up to you now.”

”Leave it to me!” Ranger Des braced against the fierce wind, raised his compound bow, nocked arrows, and simultaneously fired two shots away from the watchtower.

”Whiz!” Two arrows shot high into the air, their trajectory altered by the wind, making a large arc and whizzing towards the watchtower under the gale’s force.

”Yeah, such strong wind!” The other guard covered his face, turning to speak to his companion.

”Swish!” An arrow, carried by the wind, instantly pierced through his head.

”Grunt!” His companion hadn’t even had time to scream before another sharp Half-Elf arrow entered his temple.

”Thud~” Simultaneously, both guards fell, leaving the watchtower silent.

”Nicely done, let’s move out!”
