Warhammer Divine Throne

Laine held the Goddess of Revenge, approaching the Red Duke on the open field.

The Red Duke’s appearance was wretched; half of his face had been completely destroyed, leaving nothing but charred blisters and festering wounds. The remaining half was hidden inside his helmet, revealing only a pair of crazed blood-red eyes.

”For hundreds of years, you have brought pain to the citizens of this nation.” The white flames of the Goddess of Revenge blazed with a pale blue glow as Laine approached with the sword.

”You cannot understand my resentment, you cannot understand my mission. I want to destroy this kingdom, just as they did to me back then.” The Red Duke’s entire body was on fire; he struggled to get up, but his body wouldn’t obey.

The Holy Water condensed by Alfred inflicted devastating damage on the Vampire, even though the Blood Red Duke was a High-Tier Vampire, he could not resist the power of the Holy Water. He couldn’t control the chaotic magical elements; one of his legs was crippled, corroded into a state of disrepair by the Holy Water.

Yet he still stood up, forcing himself upright with supreme will.

”I cannot understand, nor do I wish to!” The Goddess of Revenge swung, cutting down a large tree directly. The Blood Red Duke barely dodged the attack, rolling several times and landing in a thicket.

Laine’s fierce offensive never ceased. Against the Blood Red Duke, he harbored a lethal resolve. The Goddess of Revenge’s continuous attacks forced him into desperate situations; however, the Blood Red Duke himself possessed centuries of combat experience. Though slightly weaker than Laine, he managed to survive by continuous evasions: ”You don’t understand, you simply don’t understand what I’ve been through?! If not for the grace of Alboim Wallace, I would’ve been long dead!”

He dodged Laine’s attack once again, collapsing to the ground. The Blood Red Duke groped around and found something, instinctively using it to counterattack.

”Clang!” The blades clashed, the Aquitaine Sword met the Goddess of Revenge in combat. This treasured sword, handed down from the first Duke of Aquitaine of Brittania, the noble Holy Grail Knight Fredermond, showcased its might. Against the Goddess of Revenge, it did not fully fall behind.

”Yes, in the end, the only thing that accompanies me is this sword, only it has accompanied me from the beginning to the end!” The Red Duke launched a series of swift assaults on Laine using the Aquitaine Sword, but Laine calmly dismantled them all. The young man in his twenties was more powerful than the Blood Red Duke, and the two had a fiercely intense battle in the forest under the night.

Meanwhile, the Red Duke’s frenzied words echoed: ”I! Participated in the Red Flame Grand Expedition! I! Fought for glory in Arabi! But the other Dukes! The other Dukes! Envious of my achievements, they sent assassins to murder me! The blades were poisoned, I was wounded! I was dying! It was Alboim Wallace who saved me! Turned me into a Vampire, otherwise I would have been long dead!!!”

”This hypocritical kingdom! This hypocritical faith! This hypocritical glory has no reason to exist anymore! I will destroy all of it! Destroy!!!” The Blood Red Duke roared loudly, opening his already bloodied mouth. Laine used the Goddess of Revenge to pierce his shoulder, but the Blood Red Duke reached out to grab the blade, disregarding the terrifying power of the purifying fire. Instead, he opened his mouth, swearing to infuse all the Undead Magic Power and curses onto Laine.

Even in death, he intended to take Laine with him!

But Laine would not sit there waiting to die, he clenched his right fist firmly.

No matter what the Blood Red Duke had suffered, his actions warranted no sympathy. For his revenge, he brought countless pain to this kingdom. He slaughtered his own liegemen, nearly destroyed his own family, repeatedly summoned the Undead Army, causing immense agony to this kingdom and humanity. To defeat him, a Duke, five Marquis, twelve Counts died in succession. Thousands of knights were slaughtered.

His revenge was solely for himself, and to defeat him, the knights of the Knight Kingdom bled out.

”Taste this!!” Laine’s fist clenched completely, imbued with explosive power. His solid iron fist carried the judgment of a Holy Grail Knight, striking directly at the face of the Blood Red Duke.

The remaining half of the Red Duke’s face was deformed by the blow. The Undead Magic Power and Vampire’s cursed blood he intended to spit out were hammered back by Laine’s heavy punch. Several teeth flew, and the Red Duke let out a miserable scream, was slammed into a large tree, he howled in pain. Then, Laine drew the Goddess of Revenge, slicing down, severing the Red Duke’s nose and the arm he used to block.

”Die! Holy Grail Knight!” The Red Duke’s nose dropped to the ground; black blood spurted from his face. He attempted to use the Aquitaine Sword to attack Laine from behind.

Laine immediately turned around, gripping the Red Duke’s hand. With unparalleled might, he broke the Red Duke’s arm, then seized the Aquitaine Sword from his grasp, skewering the Red Duke’s head from behind. The sharp Aquitaine Sword pierced through the Red Duke’s nape, emerged from his mouth.

”Your life ends here. I have won, you have lost!” Laine’s flame-wreathed massive fist pierced the Red Duke’s chest from behind, exploding it and scorching a large hole. The black heart was grabbed by the Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy and crushed to bits. Laine lifted the Red Duke’s head with his hand, then roared fiercely into his ear: ”Face judgment!!!”
