The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1650: Chapter 667: Exploration

Zhou Wang actually made a bit of a blunder.

Although he had the intention of getting back at Miss Di, when he truly grabbed her smooth, fair calf, he found it impossible to just let her fall to the ground...Even though the entire room was covered in thick carpet, falling wouldn’t hurt.

But out of an instinctive protective mindset, Zhou Wang ultimately used his body to catch Miss Di.

And although Miss Di was slim, she stood at a tall 170 cm. Being pulled down so suddenly, she crashed solidly into Zhou Wang’s arms, and the impact was imaginable.

Zhou Wang gasped sharply and fortunately, his physical condition was fairly robust, plus Miss Di fell forwards into his embrace, at least there was some cushioning from certain parts, so Zhou Wang didn’t perish on the spot.

Miss Di, who was caught in Zhou Wang’s arms, had initially been somewhat flustered, but seeing Zhou Wang’s grimacing face, she immediately forgot to struggle and burst into cheerful laughter.

She buried her head in Zhou Wang’s chest, laughing heartily, even lightly pounding Zhou Wang’s shoulder.

Zhou Wang attempted to widen his eyes again to express his current anger, but, finding it had no deterrent effect, he could only try a different approach.

With one hand around Miss Di’s slender waist, he raised the other hand high, then let it fall neither sharply nor softly.

Pa!

Although Zhou Wang hadn’t used much force, perhaps due to Miss Di’s own condition, the sound was still loud.

Miss Di’s body instantly tensed, and she could no longer laugh. She looked up at Zhou Wang with slight reproach, but unfortunately, with her naturally innocent almond-shaped eyes, even when widened, they had no real threat.

Instead, they further sparked Zhou Wang’s mischievous intent, and his originally planned quick touch-and-go hand lingered a bit, even moving tentatively.

”You...”

An increasingly nervous Miss Di, breaking out in goosebumps, quickly punched Zhou Wang, ”Zhou Wang, you’re being a bit too much!”

Zhou Wang cleared his throat lightly, looking at the flawless face right in front of him, he was also inwardly amazed.

As a representative of the striking-featured types, Miss Di, with her delicate makeup, had a captivating beauty that was stunning, even Zhou Wang, with his significant self-control, found it challenging to withstand.

Yet he was unwilling to just let go of Miss Di, so Zhou Wang had to slightly look away and begin to change the topic:

”Why are you hiding here dancing alone?”

Regarding this, Miss Di was slightly uncomfortable but replied:

”I’m naturally someone who prefers solitude, as they say online, a bit introverted... But I also want to participate in parties and dance, so I can only dance alone.”

”So, your personality is one that values self-protection, enjoys quiet solitude, but inwardly yearns for excitement and novelty?”

Zhou Wang summarized thoughtfully.

”Hmm, your summary is quite accurate.”

Miss Di laughed, gradually relaxing, she leaned against Zhou Wang’s chest, murmuring:

”Pretty much... Perhaps due to my profession, I am usually very cautious and careful, not daring to let a small mistake happen in my life. But, you know, I actually don’t really like staying in a ’play it safe’ place because it makes me feel dull and weary, but I’m also afraid to easily break my own rules.”

”That’s quite normal.”

Zhou Wang shrugged, ”People are contradictory, aren’t they... I’m the same, I believe in love but also doubt people’s hearts.”

”Is that an excuse for your flirtatiousness?”

Miss Di rolled her eyes first, before Zhou Wang could explain, she then rest her delicate chin on Zhou Wang’s chest, speaking like a train of thought:

”Sometimes I really feel my life is boring, there are so many things I wanted to do that I’ve never done, maybe I won’t have the chance in this lifetime...”

”Like what?”

”For instance, since high school, I’ve always wanted to go to a haunted house, but I’m scared I might die inside, though curious about that adrenaline rush, but alas, all these years passed and I still haven’t been to a haunted house...”

Miss Di spoke as if in a dream, her crystal-clear eyes, due to the influence of alcohol, exuded a mesmerizing beauty under the dim light.

Zhou Wang looked for a few seconds, then with considerable effort shifted his gaze away, simultaneously laughing, ”Isn’t that just being timid but loving fun?”

”You’re the one who’s timid but loves fun!”

Miss Di playfully pouted, puffing her cheeks, ”Whatever you say, anyway, these things are impossible for me.”

Zhou Wang’s eyes twinkled, smiling:

”Who says it’s impossible?”

”Hmm?”

When Miss Di looked over in confusion, Zhou Wang suddenly sat up, pulling Miss Di up with him.

”Come, I’ll take you somewhere.”

”Where to?”

”Just follow me.”

Zhou Wang held Miss Di’s hand, first peeking out the doorway, seeing the hallway still deserted, then led Miss Di towards the other end.

”Zhou Wang...”

Miss Di was puzzled by Zhou Wang’s sneaky demeanor.

”Shh!”

Seeing Zhou Wang gesture for silence, Miss Di could only keep her mouth shut as Zhou Wang led her through the building that resembled a castle.

They bypassed several corridors, climbed two flights of stairs, and as they delved deeper, the revelry outside faded swiftly, until eventually, not a sound could be heard.
