The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1640: Chapter 662: ”Decadence

”After signing the symbolic stock acquisition contract with the Park Group, along with repurchasing the shares from An Qixian, your current stake in YG Entertainment will reach 76.9%...”

”Apart from the 12% shares held by Vice Chairman Jiang Xin, about 10% of the shares are circulating public shares...”

”Currently, due to some negative impact brought by media news, YG Entertainment’s market value has slightly declined. We are already working on smoothing relations with the media and have asked the PR department to develop an emergency plan...”

On the sunlit lawn of No. 9 Manor, Zhou Wang strolled while smoking, listening to Sura report on the current situation regarding YG Entertainment.

”What did President Jin say about it?”

Zhou Wang asked as he flicked the ash into an ashtray held by a nearby servant.

”President Jin said there’s no need for you to worry, he will resolve all issues.”

”Wow, Old Jin sounds pretty confident.”

Zhou Wang chuckled but didn’t dwell on the matter.

Since Jin Zhijie dared to make such a bold claim, he must be quite assured, having known each other for a while now. He should understand the consequences of bragging in front of Zhou Wang without delivering.

”Damn, this is truly extravagant. This lawn could be used for playing golf...”

Zhou Wang paused, gazing at the vast lawn, easily over an acre, not including the garden, fountain, and reserved outdoor areas like tennis and basketball courts.

To build a standard golf course, this area is definitely not enough, but for a compact ’1-hole’ to ’3-hole’ course, it would suffice.

However, he thought again, and realized the original designer must have envisaged such a use, which is why such a large lawn was planned. Besides, it could also be used for badminton, walking dogs, picnics, etc.

The grass was soft and neatly trimmed, clearly a result of meticulous daily care.

In Seoul, Korea, where land is precious, owning such a vast private estate defies description by the word ’luxury’.

In feudal times, this would easily be an Earl’s residence.

Entering this place, feeling the air laden with an aristocratic aura, Zhou Wang finally realized the worth of a mansion exceeding 100 million US dollars.

Now, Zhou Wang owned five or six properties, not counting the 5,000-square-foot luxury home on Hong Kong Island, ”gifted” to Qi Jiayi. Price-wise, this newly acquired ”Hanam-dong Manor” is undoubtedly the king among them.

Including the furnishings, antiques, and other appendages, this manor might become Zhou Wang’s first property to surpass 1 billion (RMB).

Zhou Wang daydreamed for a moment, then extinguished his cigarette butt in the ashtray held by a pair of clean, small hands.

Glancing at the maid standing quietly with her head down, Zhou Wang said coolly:

”Lift your head.”

The maid trembled, obviously a bit fearful, but obediently raised her chin, allowing Zhou Wang to clearly see her features.

Her hair was tied in a smooth bun at the back, likely a uniform requirement by the housekeeper. Zhou Wang had noticed other maids with the same hairstyle when he arrived.

Zhou Wang was a bit surprised by her features, which were quite striking, exceeding his expectations. Even outside, she would definitely be a standard beauty. Her makeup was light, highlighting her already good complexion.

Moreover, despite wearing flats, she was certainly over 1.65 meters tall, and her straight calves under the black skirt suggested a figure on par with a ”print model”.

Was she really just a maid?

”What’s your name?”

Though used to seeing beautiful women, Zhou Wang was surprised but remained unmoved, merely asking.

”Hello, master. I’m Zhang Manzhi... you can call me Xiao Man.”

The maid stammered at first, then perhaps recalling the housekeeper’s reminders, quickly added.

Zhou Wang immediately sensed something off with the name. It didn’t sound like a Korean name, and her Korean also seemed somewhat awkward.

”Are you Huaxia?”

Zhou Wang asked in Chinese this time.

”No, I was born in Singapore, but I am indeed of Chinese descent.”

The girl responded fluently in Chinese, but her answer surprised Zhou Wang.

”Singaporean?”

Zhou Wang was quite intrigued.

Sura, seeming to notice Zhou Wang’s surprise, whispered, ”Boss, even in Singapore, there are impoverished people...”

The girl named Zhang Manzhi, looking a bit uneasy, added, ”My family’s situation isn’t great, so after graduating from high school, I signed a contract with an international training institute...”

From her few words, Zhou Wang realized he had made assumptions.

Even in developed nations, not all families are wealthy. Zhang Manzhi was clearly from the lower class, with siblings to support, leading her to work early after dropping out.

The ”international training institute” she mentioned is a multinational company supplying professional housekeepers, maids, craftsmen, etc., to wealthy families worldwide.

Through Zhang Manzhi, Zhou Wang learned more about the situation.

The manor had a total of twenty-one servants, twelve of whom were maids mostly from Southeast Asia, including Singaporeans, Malays, Indonesians... and the renowned ”Philippine maids”.
