The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1630: Chapter 657: Education_2

”What exactly did this mother and daughter talk about? And how did Jennie tell her mother about last night?”

Zhou Wang was curious inside, but outwardly calm.

Of course, he could still guess a few things from Han Suying’s expression. At the very least, one thing was certain... Han Suying probably knew that he had slept with her daughter.

Sure enough, when the three sat down again, Zhou Wang could keenly sense that Han Suying was no longer as reserved with him. She was much more relaxed, and the smile on her face gradually became more frequent, as if a burden had been lifted from her mind.

Midway through the meal, Han Suying raised her glass to clink with Zhou Wang’s and then said with a smile:

”Chairman Zhou, I’ll consider you as family from now on. I hope we can stay in touch, and I’ll have to trouble you to take care of Jennie in her work, more often in the future.”

Han Suying deliberately put emphasis on the words ”family,” clearly hinting to Zhou Wang... Since you have already ”accepted” my gift, you shouldn’t keep holding onto the past issues, right?

Moreover, Han Suying was hoping for even further progress, that Zhou Wang could tilt some resources towards her daughter in her career.

”Jennie’s team contract is still with YG Entertainment, right?”

Zhou Wang wiped the corner of his mouth and asked casually.

”Yes, when her personal contract expired last year, she set up her own studio. Her team contract should expire in two or three years...”

Han Suying was obviously very aware of her daughter’s situation, although she didn’t know why Zhou Wang suddenly brought it up, she instinctively answered.

”Transfer her personal contract back to YG Entertainment.”

Zhou Wang casually said.

”...What?”

”Why? I don’t want to!”

Upon Han Suying’s change of expression, Jin Zhenni, who had remained silent, also voiced her protest.

Even with Jennie’s family background, after choosing the path of an ”idol,” she had spent nearly seven years in the industry before finally establishing her own personal studio.

In the entertainment circle of Korea where exploitation and unspoken rules are prevalent, this is something only a few can achieve.

In fact, if not for Jennie’s mother, a financial tycoon, members of her level in a girl group wouldn’t generally have the chance to break free from control and become independent; it’s practically a ”daydream.”

It’s because of her intervention that Lisa, Jisoo, and others could also leave YG Entertainment and set up their own personal studios.

Now, Zhou Wang’s single sentence required Jin Zhenni to return to YG Entertainment, which meant that all of her efforts over the past six or seven years would go down the drain, sending her back into a position of control again. Neither Han Suying nor Jin Zhenni herself would accept this.

Jennie’s reaction was especially intense. Not waiting for Han Suying to diplomatically organize her words, she once again insisted:

”I can’t possibly sign a personal contract with YG Entertainment again. I don’t know what Chairman Zhou you want to do, but please abandon such thoughts, I won’t let you have your way!”

”Are you sure?”

Zhou Wang narrowed his eyes, his expression turning cold.

”Absolutely!”

Jennie clearly flinched but still met Zhou Wang’s gaze without backing down, her expression becoming even angrier: ”Even though I agreed to some of your excessive demands, don’t think you can completely do as you please with me, Zhou Wang, I’m telling you, it’s absolutely impossible!”

Han Suying’s eyelids twitched as she listened, because Jennie didn’t use any honorifics and even started calling Zhou Wang by name, which in Korean cultural context, was almost considered as escalating to the level of a quarrel.

Han Suying couldn’t quite understand. Weren’t Zhou Wang and her daughter already together overnight? Why did it seem like their relationship not only didn’t ease but instead became more hostile?

She was just about to speak and ease the tense atmosphere when Zhou Wang waved his hand:

”Director Han, could you please step out for a moment? I need to talk with your daughter privately.”

”No!”

Before Han Suying could respond, Jin Zhenni already shivered and blurted out.

”Director Han, is it okay?”

Zhou Wang didn’t look at her, only fixed his gaze on Han Suying and smiled while asking.

”Of course, I’ll wait outside.”

Han Suying felt the dangerous undertone behind Zhou Wang’s smile. She thought about it and concluded that since it was a public setting, Zhou Wang couldn’t possibly do anything too excessive, so she ignored Jin Zhenni’s desperate gaze and nodded before leaving the room.

”You just had a loud voice, come on, say it again, I’m listening.”

Just as the door closed, Zhou Wang already pulled the tightly biting-lip Jennie into his arms, pressing her waist, making her lay horizontally across his lap.

Jin Zhenni remained silent, stubbornly turning her head away, but her neck, ear roots, and cheeks had already quietly flushed red.

...

About ten minutes later, perhaps realizing some impropriety, Han Suying calculated the time and knocked on the door.

”Chairman Zhou, is it okay now?”

There was a moment of silence inside the room before Zhou Wang’s calm voice replied, ”Come in.”

Han Suying hurriedly pushed open the door. At first glance, she didn’t notice anything unusual. Zhou Wang and Jennie were each sitting in their seats, Zhou Wang was leisurely smoking a cigarette, and Jennie’s clothes were intact, though she still had her head lowered.

Given that she had been in this state all along, it was nothing strange.

The doubt in Han Suying’s eyes lessened. As she returned to her seat, she heard Zhou Wang say: ”Jennie has agreed. Director Han, do you have any objections?”
