The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1622: Chapter 653: Pearl (2)

Zhou Wang suddenly felt displeased.

He had originally thought that this was, after all, their first intimate encounter. He wanted to take it step by step, opening her heart gently so she could accept him without reservations and give her a wonderful night.

But since the woman had already reached this stage and was still pretending, Zhou Wang naturally no longer had any compunction.

The bedside table lamp, which was right next to the bed, suddenly started to shake slightly.

As time went by, the thin veil draped over the lamp quivered and fell, fully covering the lamp, making the room’s light hazy and swaying more violently.

Within those flickering, indescribable, and inexplicable halos, the changes in the shadows were the only thing clear enough to notice.

You could clearly see shadows transforming into overlapping letters ”L,” sometimes becoming half of a book quote ””,” and occasionally forming a peculiar ”V.”

...

Nobody knew how much time had passed.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling window, the neon lights of the international metropolis continued to flash non-stop. As the night deepened, those lights became even more dazzling, providing clear illumination even though the table lamp had long toppled onto the ground.

On the bed intertwined with shadows and light, Zhou Wang still had his arms around the woman’s waist from behind, but both of them were motionless for the moment.

Zhou Wang was still caught in the intertwining effects of alcohol and excitement, finding it hard to extricate himself, and was trying to regain thoughts as tangled as the bed.

While the woman in his arms no longer seemed to be in a sleep-like state, she was now breathing rapidly in gasps.

She seemed to have just experienced a struggle akin to drowning, with some overlapping red and green marks on her body. Her dense long hair was originally smoothly draped down her back but had somehow become a tangled mess, with parts stuck to her damp forehead and cheeks.

In the fragmented syllables occasionally slipping from her throat, even though they were heavily concealed, a faint hoarseness could still be discerned.

From the angle that Zhou Wang could not see, her eyes facing the floor-to-ceiling window, covered by lace ribbons, had long lost their usual bright sheen, filled now only with large swaths of confusion and helplessness, though shadowed with traces of displeasure, shame, and grievance.

While the woman was still spaced out as though dreaming, she suddenly noticed the man behind her moving.

But instead of leaving the bed, he suddenly moved closer, gripping her slender shoulders.

”No, no... Don’t look at me!”

The woman, realizing what Zhou Wang intended, hurriedly uttered a couple of frightened syllables, then tried to cover her cheeks with her arm, but she was too weak to resist Zhou Wang’s strength. He easily pushed her frail wrists aside.

Then effortlessly, Zhou Wang flipped her over, laying her flat on the bed.

Meanwhile, Zhou Wang finally got a clear view of her unmasked face.

In fact, upon hearing the woman clearly speak a sentence, Zhou Wang had already sensed something was amiss; seeing her face now only confirmed his suspicion.

For a brief moment, Zhou Wang was stunned, his mind temporarily frozen.

During the process before, small fragmented thoughts occasionally crossed Zhou Wang’s mind, guessing who this amazingly figured woman might be.

He considered Lin Yun’er, thought about Jin Zhiyuan, and even thought about most women he encountered at the banquet.

... It must be said, in Korea’s entertainment circle, you’d be hard-pressed to find a woman whose body isn’t impeccably maintained. Their self-discipline in this area far surpassed Zhou Wang’s expectations, which he deeply felt while dancing.

So he instinctively believed the woman in his arms might be any one of the female stars he had just interacted with, holding a bit of expectation toward the ”blind box” about to be revealed.

The woman before him, though her hair was disorderly plastered on her forehead and her eyes obstructed by a lace ribbon, Zhou Wang recognized her instantly.

At the moment of revelation, he never imagined... it would be her.

This should have been the least likely development.

Her cheek skin was fair, seeming to radiate fluorescence even in the dim environment, with plump apple cheeks and round contour that exuded a naive purity even without a smile.

Her eyes, concealed behind lace, were hard to see in detail, but faintly through the semi-transparent mesh, one could glimpse eyes filled with bewilderment amidst annoyance, her nose was high, her M-shaped lips were plump, subconsciously biting one side of the lip, revealing a sense of humiliation.

After being stunned, Zhou Wang, as if to confirm, despite her hand raising to block, swiftly tore off the lace ribbon covering her eyes.

The woman’s feline eyes were unveiled, completing her expression to reveal not only a doe-like youthful cuteness but also an air of a predatory sovereign, seemingly a queen reigning supreme.

This was the ”feline face” that made countless fans scream in obsession.

This inherent aloof and refined aura had won her numerous fashion shoots and luxury endorsements.

This was... Jennie, whose popularity in BlackPink always ranked second.

”?”

Even though Zhou Wang had accepted that the woman he had ruthlessly toyed with for over half an hour was Jennie, he couldn’t help but question internally.

Why was it her?

How could it be her...

Not to mention how Charles had gotten in touch with Jennie, the point was, given Jennie’s previous display of arrogance towards him, with her status as a princess from a financial tycoon family, it seemed impossible to imagine the current scene.

The key lay in the manner, this demeaning and purely acquiescent appearance...

Yes, even though she had shown signs of resistance during the process, this kind of clothing, with her hands bound, essentially was a form of pandering intended to maximumly pique Zhou Wang’s interest.

Undoubtedly, she succeeded.

If he wasn’t sure he hadn’t drunk too much, Zhou Wang might have suspected that the scenario he was in wasn’t real.

Wait, Zhou Wang had a faint sense of having overlooked some crucial detail...

At this moment, while Zhou Wang was frowning in thought, Jennie, whose lace mask had been removed by him, was taken aback.

She initially tried to evade Zhou Wang’s gaze but then seemingly thought of something, stubbornly turning back and glaring at Zhou Wang while biting her lip, eyes seeming to gather crystalline tears.

”Satisfied? Can you let me go now?”

Upon hearing her slightly trembling cold inquiry, Zhou Wang instinctively released her wrists.

Jennie, covering a body unable to be concealed by thin veils, flipped upright on the bed, pushed away Zhou Wang, got off, and awkwardly searched for her clothes amidst the messy floor.

Her hurried movements suggested an impatient urge to leave.

Perhaps aware of Zhou Wang’s gaze, or maybe to conceal something, she stood up, turned her back on Zhou Wang, and coldly spoke again:

”Chairman Zhou, this was a misunderstanding. Given my own reputation, I won’t pursue it, but I hope you can also forget what happened tonight...”

”Was it really a misunderstanding?”

Zhou Wang suddenly spoke.

”Of course!”

Jennie’s voice quivered but soon steadied, ”Just a misunderstanding, I drank too much, um, you weren’t clear-headed either...”

”Was it your mother who sent you here?”

Zhou Wang, upon figuring out something, suddenly and quietly spoke.

Jennie’s beautifully curved body froze in place.
