The Dragonkind that appeared were no more than insignificant ants crushed beneath Lin Moyu’s feet.

After countless attempts, he had fully grasped the rhythm.

Explosions echoed across the sky from time to time.

Meteors were occasionally shattered midair by Lin Moyu’s Bone Spear, each time rewarding him with a Star Crystal.

The Star Crystals had no immediate purpose, but once he reached level 80 and unlocked another Elemental Lich slot, they might become summoning materials.

Even so, Lin Moyu had no idea what kind of Elemental Lich a Star Crystal could produce, nor what abilities it might possess.

At present, he commanded eight Elemental Liches, filling all available slots.

Only the Fire Lich and Poison Lich could be freely replaced, as their materials were abundant.

The others, however, he dared not replace. Their materials were far too scarce, and once dismissed, they could not be resummoned.

Two days later, his Bone Spear skill had been maxed out.

At level 70, the Bone Spear stretched over three meters long, its outer layer spinning rapidly in a spiral of white bone.

The entire spear rotated with immense force, its penetration and tearing power pushed to the extreme.

The Dragonkind Battle Generals from before were the perfect testament to its strength. They had been pierced clean through and reduced to fragments.

Compared to dying under Undead Gaze, that was practically merciful.

Those struck by Undead Gaze had no chance of revival—it was absolute annihilation.

With all his skills now maxed out, Lin Moyu finally exhaled deeply.

After reaching level 70, his attributes had changed drastically.

Just as he was about to inspect them, Lin Moyu suddenly recalled a certain piece of equipment he possessed.

Ever since reaching level 40, all equipment had become obsolete for him, and his perception of equipment had dropped to rock bottom.

To Lin Moyu, most equipment was worth little more than the gold coins or materials he could trade them for.

But two items were different.

One was the Monarch’s Scepter, acquired from the World of Light dungeon.

The other was the Genesis Scepter.

The Monarch’s Scepter was legendary-grade, while the Genesis Scepter was mythical-grade, yet both were incomplete and damaged.

Strangely, the Genesis Scepter’s attribute bonuses were actually weaker than those of the Monarch’s Scepter, despite being of higher grade.

The contradiction had puzzled Lin Moyu from the start.

With a thought, both scepters appeared in his hands.

A massive surge of power rushed into his body, making him tremble.

His aura roared upward, as though reaching toward the heavens.

Lin Moyu’s eyes widened. The power was coming from the Monarch’s Scepter.

“This is… attribute power! The Monarch’s Scepter actually works on me!”

Suppressing his shock, he checked his attributes.

[Name: Lin Moyu]

[Class: Undying Holy King (unique)]

[Level: 70]

[Strength: 300,000 +500,000]

[Agility: 300,000 +500,000]

[Spirit: 1,000,000 + 500,000]

[Physique: 400,000 + 500,000]

[Equipment: Monarch’s Scepter]

[Monarch’s Scepter (incomplete): legendary-grade weapon, all attributes +500,000.]

All of his attributes had risen by 500,000 points each.

It had been a long time since Lin Moyu last felt the thrill of an equipment-boost, and a faint nostalgia welled up within him.

The Genesis Scepter still produced no reaction. As a mythical-grade weapon, it remained far beyond his current level.

He tested several other pieces of equipment—from platinum-grade to quasi-legendary-grade, from weapons to armor, to accessories.

After a series of swaps, he confirmed that he hadn’t suddenly regained the ability to wield equipment.

It was the Monarch’s Scepter that was special.

Back in the World of Light dungeon, he had instinctively assumed the Angel statue represented the Light God, and the weapon it held was the Light God’s weapon.

Could it be that the equipment used by Gods works for me?

Lin Moyu wasn’t sure.

“How did I forget to ask Antares about this?”

Equipment meant so little to him that it never crossed his mind to ask Antares about the Monarch’s Scepter.

But regardless, the Monarch’s Scepter’s effects were undeniable.

Except for his spirit attribute, the Monarch Scepter’s bonuses exceeded his base attributes.

A full 500,000 boost to each of the four attributes—2,000,000 total—was far beyond anything offered by legendary-grade equipment.

And the Monarch’s Scepter wasn’t even complete. A core component at the tip was missing, just like the Genesis Scepter.

If restored, how powerful would it become?

“This should be a mythical-grade weapon originally, only downgraded because it lacks its core.”

“But the Light God was supposedly only a mid-tier God. How could such a God possess a mythical-grade weapon?”

“Records say the Light God wielded the Light Holy Sword, not a scepter.”

“Is the Monarch’s Scepter really the Light God’s weapon?”

“I’ll ask Antares later.”

Questions piled up in his mind.

Antares had already cleared up many of his doubts, yet the more answers he received, the more mysterious the world seemed.

Setting these thoughts aside, Lin Moyu examined his attributes and fell silent for a long moment before drawing in a sharp breath.

His base attributes were already monstrous at 2,000,000 total.

A mid-tier legendary human class user at level 70 typically reached only about 1,080,000. Lin Moyu had nearly double that—comparable to a level-70 world rank boss.

Now, with the Monarch’s Scepter equipped, he gained another 2,000,000, bringing his total to an absurd 4,000,000, a level even world rank bosses couldn’t hope to match.

“It’s a shame I’m a Mage.” He muttered with a wry smile, “All these attributes… and I hardly engage in melee combat.”

Still, who would complain about having too high attributes?

He firmly equipped the Monarch’s Scepter.

Legendary-grade equipment required a soul brand. Once imprinted, it recognized only its owner and could never be traded or lost.

Lin Moyu let his soul force flow into the Monarch’s Scepter.

The Monarch’s Scepter let out a delighted cheer before vanishing with a soft swoosh. A heartbeat later, it reappeared inside his spirit world.

There, a small and delicate scepter materialized in the hand of Lin Moyu’s soul, none other than the Monarch’s Scepter itself.

He could feel the joy radiating from it, warm and intimate, like a reunion with a long-lost kin.

The emotion resonated from the depths of the soul, impossible to capture with mere words.

Lin Moyu was stunned, “Is this what all legendary-grade equipment is like? Why does the Monarch’s Scepter feel so strangely familiar?”

The sensation had no source, no reason. Yet he trusted his intuition.

Before he could unravel one question, another arose. They came endlessly, one after another.

Perhaps, someday, the answers would reveal themselves.

After reviewing his attributes, Lin Moyu finally left the area where he had stayed for several days and headed deeper into the Meteorfall Continent.

He knew the Dragon King Palace and the Primordial Space were located somewhere within the continent, though their exact positions were unknown.

The Primordial Runes would react within ten thousand meters of the Primordial Space and guide him to it.

As for the Dragon King Palace, he would have to search blindly.

But he had made a promise to Antares, to find the Dragon King Palace and bring back the Dragon Beads at any cost.

According to Antares, two Dragon Beads were sealed within the Dragon King Palace, both important to him.

Lin Moyu had promised to do everything in his power to retrieve them.

The deeper one ventured into the Meteorfall Continent, the denser the meteors became overhead, their power steadily increasing.

It was said that near the center, a meteor’s impact could rival an attack from a God.

Only a handful of exceptionally powerful world rank bosses could survive in such a place.

The Meteorfall Continent itself was barren, a vast, desolate wasteland.

Hills and rivers had long been flattened, leaving an open landscape where visibility stretched for over a hundred kilometers from the air.

About half an hour after proceeding deeper into the continent, Lin Moyu finally encountered his first monster.
