Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

When the Shenxia Empire activated the Soul Fusion Grand Formation, the entire world was shaken by the Soul Millstone.

Great powers and countless experts speculated, wondering what exactly was the Shenxia Empire doing?

By then, however, the empire had already become hard to penetrate.

Even God-level powerhouses of the great powers dared not break in, unwilling to risk provoking the Shenxia Empire.

With the borders now completely sealed, entry had become impossible.

Inside the empire, God-level experts and imperial officials gathered to discuss their next move.

Lin Moyu, however, paid little attention to these things.

Through countless battles, he had come to understand a single truth: except for strength, everything else was false.

Without power, all plans were fragile as paper.

If the Demon Emperor or Dragon Emperor had personally descended upon the Human World… or if the Dreadbeast King had broken free… all their plans would crumble into dust.

Jiang Yi had yet to be resurrected, while Emperor Di had departed. The Human World was weaker than ever.

Humanity needed power, and so did Lin Moyu.

…

Immemorial Battlefield, upper layer.

Lin Moyu streaked through the skies of the core area, heading straight for the place where Antares was located.

Only Lin Moyu would dare to fly so recklessly here. No one below level 70 would even think of it.

As the landscape blurred beneath him, he thought to himself: “Once I complete my third class awakening, returning here will become far more difficult.”

Still, he believed Antares would have a solution. He could ask once they met.

Soon, a distant glow of flames entered his view.

The Archaic Luanniao, wrapped in blazing flames, came flying toward him.

It called out twice, then dipped beneath him, allowing Lin Moyu to land on its back.

The Archaic Luanniao chirped repeatedly, as if scolding him for being too slow.

Lin Moyu chuckled, “Alright, alright. Don’t complain. I admit you’re faster than me. Happy now?”

The Archaic Luanniao chirped twice, apparently satisfied, and stopped grumbling.

This was the second time it had carried him. Their bond had clearly grown stronger.

Half an hour later, Lin Moyu reached Antares.

As always, Antares was asleep, too lazy to move unless necessary.

Lin Moyu had never once seen him standing. His immense form lay on the ground, vast as a mountain, his body hidden within layers of dense mist.

Only his enormous head was visible.

“Antares, I’m here.”

No response. Lin Moyu called again, then again.

Only on the third call did Antares finally open his eyes.

Lin Moyu couldn’t help but smile. He knew Antares had heard him from the get-go, but just wanted to be difficult, forcing him to call a few more times.

Lin Moyu didn’t mind. If Antares wanted to act proud, he’d play along.

Antares’ lazy gaze swept over him, “Level 69 already, huh? Seems that Soul Fusion Grand Formation did you some good.”

Lin Moyu could have advanced to level 70 and undergone his third class awakening, but per Antares’ earlier advice, he had stopped at level 69.

After that, he bid farewell to Meng Anwen and Bai Yiyuan and came to the core area.

Meanwhile, Yan Kuangsheng had gone to butcher a Bloodthirsty Python, seeking its brain flesh in preparation for Lin Moyu’s third class awakening.

Meng Anwen and Bai Yiyuan wanted to prepare a formation for him as well, but Lin Moyu refused, because of Antares’ warning.

Antares had told him that to advance to Transcendent God-level more smoothly, preparations had to be made before the third class awakening.

Waiting until level 70 would be too late. However, Antares hadn’t explained the details.

“I have so many questions I want to ask you.” Lin Moyu said.

Antares narrowed his eyes, “What now? Didn’t you ask enough last time?”

Lin Moyu shook his head, “The stronger I get, the less I understand about this world.”

“Recently, I entered the Divine Stone Dungeon and learned things most people don’t know.”

“But because of that, I’ve found myself understanding this world even less.”

Antares laughed, “That’s because you haven’t climbed high enough yet. Once you stand at the very peak, you’ll find…”

Seeing that Antares suddenly fell silent, Lin Moyu knew what he was thinking and played along, asking, ”Find what?”

”You’ll find...”

Antares continued to keep him in suspense.

This time, Lin Moyu was not in a rush and simply watched him silently.

Antares chuckled, ”Above the mountaintop, there is an even higher mountain, and beyond that, there is the heavens.”

Lin Moyu smiled, “You mean, there are mountains beyond mountains, and heavens beyond heavens?”

Antares muttered, “That phrase sounds familiar… I think I’ve heard it somewhere.”

Though Lin Moyu had countless questions, he knew Antares wouldn’t answer them all, perhaps due to being bound by certain rules.

Still, bits and pieces could be gleaned through their conversation.

Lin Moyu said, “I went into the Divine Stone Dungeon, and met Shiling, the dungeon’s administrator. I also obtained something.”

Under Antares’ gaze, Lin Moyu took out a Skill Divine Stone.

Antares’ pupils contracted sharply, “A Skill Divine Stone… a relic of the previous age.”

As expected, Antares did know about the previous age.

Lin Moyu nodded, “Shiling told me that the previous age was destroyed, but not because of its own internal conflicts. The Divine Stone Dungeon was preserved due to certain special reasons.”

Antares scoffed, “Those fools love to glorify themselves. It was clearly their own doing, but they refuse to admit it.”

”However, your claim that the previous age was destroyed is not entirely accurate.”

”The Divine Stone Dungeon is actually a factory from the previous age, and there should be many Talent Divine Stones inside.”

Lin Moyu was stunned. Antares knew far more than he’d imagined.

At the same time, he also received some information: the Divine Stone was just a factory?

At this point, Antares added, “Calling it just a factory isn’t quite right. It still retains some dungeon traits, clearly modified. And that Shiling you mentioned? Merely an item spirit. Not particularly useful.”

Lin Moyu said, “I saw a Blueluster Flower in the Divine Stone Dungeon, and afterward, the Domain Divine Stone absorbed some Blueluster Fire.”

Beams of light shot from Antares’s eyes, enveloping Lin Moyu.

After a few seconds, he spoke again, “Indeed, your soul has Blueluster Fire aura.”

“However, this thing can only slightly expand the soul’s upper limit. It’s not very useful. Back in their age, such things were common and barely considered treasures.”

Lin Moyu asked, “I can sense how mighty that age was, far stronger than ours. But why is that?”

Antares burst out laughing, “Mighty? Hardly. I told you, they were a bunch of fools.”

“An age full of potential, and they still destroyed themselves.”

“I warned them countless times, but it was pointless.”

“When I meet those bastards again, I’ll give them the beating they deserve.”

His tone dripped with resentment, and Lin Moyu realized Antares must have had deep ties to that age, and that some of its people might still be alive.

To survive the fall of an entire age… their strength was self-evident—at least Transcendent God-level powerhouses, and not just ordinary ones at that.

Yet even such a glorious age perished. What would become of this one?

Sensing Lin Moyu’s unease, Antares said, “Don’t dwell on it. Every age has its differences. Yours isn’t necessarily weaker.”

“When you reach a certain level, I’ll tell you more. Right now, even if I did, it wouldn’t help.”

“For instance, if you asked where Di Yan went or what he’s doing, even if I told you, would it change anything?”

Lin Moyu nodded.

The fact that Antares was even willing to speak so openly was already a sign of trust, perhaps even friendship.

“Alright.” Lin Moyu said, “Then I’ll wait until I’m strong enough for you to tell me.”

“Now, can you explain why I can’t just reach level 70 and undergo the third class awakening?”

Antares replied, “Because that kind of third class awakening would not be perfect.”

“If you wish to become the strongest Transcendent God-level powerhouse and pave the way for your future, you’ll need a perfect third class awakening.”
