Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

In Jiangning Province, less than 100 kilometers from Jiangning Academy.

What was once a stretch of forest held a secret realm belonging to Jiangning Academy, used as a basic trial ground for new students.

In just over a month, the forest outside the secret realm had been leveled and turned into an encampment.

A large number of people were stationed there: civilians, family members, and many soldiers.

Countless Healers were active throughout the encampment. Reportedly, nearly one-fifth of all Healers in the Shenxia Empire had gathered here.

Dozens of healing formations operated day and night without rest.

Within the encampment, over 500,000 people had already been parasitized by Soul Devouring Beasts.

And that was only a fraction. Across the empire, there were more parasitized.

The imperial family had mobilized every available force, struggling desperately to contain the spread and safeguard the populace.

Around a table sat Bai Yiyuan, Ning Tairan, Mo Xinghai, and Feng Chang’an.

Moments later, the emperor, Dongfang Yi, entered. He was the last to arrive.

Everyone present represented the highest authorities and most powerful forces within the Shenxia Empire.

Their faces were grim.

“The limit has been reached.” Dongfang Yi said heavily, “The number can’t increase any further.”

“Across every province and city, the parasitized now exceed 1 million. We’re overwhelmed.”

“If this continues for even a few more days, the casualties will be catastrophic.”

Though the Shenxia Empire was mighty, rich in class users and abundant in Healers, even their strength had limits.

And now, that limit had been reached.

Feng Chang’an’s brows furrowed, “This operation is enormous in scale. If it fails, the consequences will be unimaginable.”

Mo Xinghai added, “Reports confirm Soul Devouring Beast infections are now appearing across the world. Other nations and factions believe this originated in Shenxia and are demanding an explanation.”

Bai Yiyuan snorted coldly, “An explanation? They smuggled our infected citizens across their borders. We didn’t even hold them accountable for that. And now they dare demand an explanation? They can go to hell.”

Foreign forces, desperate for information, had made a reckless decision.

They abducted individuals already parasitized by Soul Devouring Beasts, and in doing so, unleashed the threat beyond the empire’s borders.

By the time the Shenxia Empire’s forces recovered the abducted victims, the Soul Devouring Beasts had already spread outside.

Mo Xinghai’s expression darkened, “If those guys unite against us, it’ll become troublesome. Their outbreaks began later, so the Soul Devouring Beasts haven’t fully erupted yet. But it’s only a matter of time before they lose control.”

Medicine God Shu spoke in a deep voice, “White God and I have already discussed this matter. Once the Soul Fusion Grand Formation is complete, I will provide them with the formula for the Soul Fusion Potion. They’ll be able to concoct the potion themselves and eradicate the Soul Devouring Beasts.”

Mo Xinghai frowned, “Wouldn’t that create countless geniuses for those factions?”

Medicine God Shu chuckled, “Of course not. The formula I’ll give them is a modified version. It will only kill the Soul Devouring Beasts. They won’t gain any soul force.”

Having researched the potion for so long, Medicine God Shu had naturally achieved significant results.

Hearing his words, everyone relaxed slightly.

Bai Yiyuan added, “The formula is valuable. We can’t just give it away. It has to be sold, traded for resources.”

“Exactly! Exchange for resources!”

Bai Yiyuan’s words immediately won everyone’s agreement.

The Shenxia Empire had truly gone all out for this plan, consuming a massive amount of resources.

They had to find a way to make some of it back.

“Teacher, I’m back!” A clear voice rang out, and Lin Moyu flew in.

“Godly General Lin!”

Everyone greeted him, their tone and attitude treating him as an equal.

The reports from the Kunlun Divine Palace dungeon had already spread.

By now, no one doubted that Lin Moyu would one day ascend to God-level.

When that happened, his power and rank would rival their own.

Given his youth and talent, surpassing them in the future seemed almost inevitable.

Such a person was one they should be trying to befriend.

Lin Moyu cupped his hands and bowed, “Greetings, Seniors. Greetings, Your Majesty.”

Bai Yiyuan asked, “Moyu, the Soul Fusion Grand Formation is nearly complete. How confident are you?”

The person who understood the Soul Fusion Grand Formation best was undoubtedly Meng Anwen, since he was the one setting it up.

Next in line was Lin Moyu, who would serve as the formation’s main controller.

Antares had gone over the Soul Fusion Grand Formation with Lin Moyu in detail, and Lin Moyu knew its requirements inside and out.

“Completely confident.” Lin Moyu replied.

A collective breath of relief swept through the room.

The stakes were too high. If they failed, every person present would go down in history as a disgrace.

Bai Yiyuan slapped the table, “Good. Prepare yourself. Old Meng should finish within a day.”

“Understood.”

After a brief discussion, everyone dispersed, leaving only Bai Yiyuan, Lin Moyu, and Ning Tairan in the room.

Once everyone else left, Ning Tairan raised a finger and sealed the room with a spell.

Clearly, he had something important to say.

“The old man is missing. I also can’t reach Jiang Yi—his soul secret realm is no longer within the Dungeon Hall.”

“Lin Mohan…” He glanced at Lin Moyu, “Moyu, we’ve lost contact with your sister as well.”

Lin Moyu frowned, “Teacher, are you seeking Emperor Di and Righteous God as a precaution in case something goes wrong?”

Bai Yiyuan’s gaze shifted toward the formation outside, “Not long ago, a trace of the Demon Emperor’s will passed through. With his power, he must already know our plan.”

“If he’s truly determined, if he’s willing to pay any price, he could bring us serious trouble.”

“The Demon Emperor’s strength is vast. Without the old man’s help, we might indeed be in danger.”

“And then there’s the Dragon Emperor. With all this commotion, it’s impossible he hasn’t noticed. The fact that he hasn’t acted yet means he’s plotting something.”

Bai Yiyuan’s worries were well-founded.

Their plan could not fail. The Soul Fusion Grand Formation could not fail.

But at this crucial time, Emperor Di had vanished, and Jiang Yi was unreachable.

This left Bai Yiyuan deeply worried. He couldn’t share this matter with others.

Lin Moyu thought for a moment, “Teacher, don’t worry. Perhaps Righteous God already knows.”

“The last time the Demon Emperor’s will appeared, didn’t Righteous God destroy it from afar?”

“Maybe he’s already resurrected, and watching over us in secret.”

Bai Yiyuan knew Moyu was only trying to comfort him.

“Regardless, the arrow has already been notched, and must be released.”

“In half a day, the formation will be complete. Old Meng will run the final check. Tomorrow, or the day after at the latest, the Soul Fusion Grand Formation will be activated.”

Lin Moyu nodded, “Teacher, don’t worry too much. Things will work out in the end. This plan will succeed.”

“It will succeed!” Bai Yiyuan echoed solemnly.

Night cloaked the land, and starlight scattered across the sky like shards of silver.

At the center of the encampment, Lin Moyu sat cross-legged above a vast and intricate formation—the Soul Fusion Grand Formation.

He occupied the very center of the Soul Fusion Grand Formation. As the main controller, once the formation was activated, he would oversee the entire formation from here.

All the soul force would be under his command.

That was why Lin Moyu had come — to familiarize himself with the formation and sense every single thread of energy within it.

Now, he was familiarizing himself with the formation, tracing every current, every pulse within it.

Though not a Formation Master and unversed in formation theory, Lin Moyu relied on instinct and perception to comprehend its essence.

At the same time, he was making preparations.

“The Demon Emperor and the Dragon Emperor may both take action.”

“If so, the Poison Lich summoned through the Poison God’s Blood Essence won’t be enough.”

“The Law Crystals might still have their use.”

He possessed six Law Crystals, each imbued with law force.

According to Bai Yiyuan, law force was an incredibly formidable power, one that only high-tier Gods or level 96-plus God-level experts could hope to access.

The strength of half-step Transcendent Gods stemmed precisely from their mastery of this law force.

By that logic, the Demon Emperor’s power also derived from law force.

Only laws could counter laws.

Lin Moyu’s gaze hardened, “Crossing over from a distant space to come here… how much of your true power can you exert?”

“If I use the Law Crystals to create Elemental Liches, their self-destruction may not equal your main body’s power, but fighting across the void, the difference shouldn’t be great.”

“If neither Emperor Di nor Righteous God intervenes, this will be my trump cards.”

“And if even that fails… then I’ll have to detonate the Poison God’s corpse.”

“A complete God corpse… its power should be terrifying.”

Lin Moyu held many trump cards, but only these two might stand against the Demon Emperor and the Dragon Emperor.

Having resolved himself, his thoughts wandered, drifting to Lin Mohan.

“I wonder where sister has gone. If she were here, she could have a share of soul force as well.”

“But, with Emperor Di by her side, her safety shouldn’t be a concern.”
