Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

When Shi Xing’an first awakened his class, the resulting vision drew widespread attention.

For a human to become an Earth Knight was no small feat.

But soon after, Shi Xing’an vanished without a trace. No one knew where he’d gone.

He hid his name, his identity, and ground alone in secret.

Now, deep within the Divine Stone Dungeon, he finally resurfaced.

The Divine Stone Dungeon ignored levels; each challenger faced their own unique trials. It was the fairest of tests.

Shi Xing’an cleared level after level, unleashing the full might of an Earth Knight without holding back.

In the end, he scored 95 points, tying Shu Han for the highest mark ever recorded, aside from Lin Moyu’s.

Lin Moyu’s record, however, was considered a miracle, something beyond comparison, so few even mentioned it.

In most people’s minds, the true highest score remained 95.

Lin Moyu himself didn’t care. After leaving the dungeon, he returned once again to the Kunlun Mountain. The Kunlun Divine Palace dungeon was still his best place to level up.

His plan was simple: grind in the early stage dungeon until reaching level 60, then move to the middle stage dungeon halfway up the mountain.

At the moment, he carried four Advanced Cooldown Talismans, enough for about two hundred runs—plenty to reach level 58.

After that, he’d visit Meng Anwen to have them recharged.

Advanced Cooldown Talismans were rare, and only top-tier experts possessed them.

Recharging them required vast amounts of rare materials.

But for Meng Anwen, such things were hardly a problem, especially since Lin Moyu had gifted him a lot of Venomous Flood Dragon’s Spine Bones, each one worth a fortune.

The cost of recharging was nothing to worry about anymore.

Cold wind howled. Snow fell thick and silent.

The Kunlun Mountain stood unchanged, timeless.

The battlefield where Lin Moyu once fought the Kunlun Snow God was now buried beneath layers of fresh snow, its traces completely erased.

If so many hadn’t witnessed that battle themselves, no one would believe it had ever taken place.

The snow buried not just the land, but time itself.

Travelers came and went along the road, with many making their way toward the Kunlun Mountain.

But this time, Lin Moyu didn’t join them.

He flew straight to the entrance of the early stage Kunlun Divine Palace at the mountain’s foot, and then began to raid the dungeon without pause.

Each raid took about half an hour and yielded roughly 1.3% EXP.

He was currently at 13%, meaning sixty-six more runs to level up.

Whenever Lin Moyu entered grind mode, the focus in his eyes was so intense it could chill even the bravest onlooker.

…

Within the Abyss, flames roared inside the Demon Emperor’s Palace.

Outside the palace, the Succubus Queen stood respectfully, head lowered.

From within the inferno came a hollow, ethereal voice, “You’re saying that the human, Meng Anwen, is conducting some kind of secret operation?”

The Succubus Queen bowed respectfully, “According to the latest intelligence, Meng Anwen appears to be constructing a massive formation, one that spans nearly the entire Shenxia Empire.”

“After completing each section, the human military takes control and manages it. I’ve already dispatched members of the Demon Worship Society to investigate, but we have no new information yet.”

The flames flickered. The Demon Emperor remained silent, deep in thought.

The Succubus Queen dared not breathe too loudly as she awaited his command.

After a long pause, the voice finally spoke calmly, “Meng Anwen is the only human who is both a God-level Alchemist and a God-level Formation Master. His standing among humans is unmatched; he commands half of their military power.”

“Not long ago, he and Bai Yiyuan purged your Demon Worship Society, leaving it crippled.”

“You were too arrogant. You thought that controlling a few human officials was enough to keep Meng Anwen in check.”

Though the Demon Emperor’s tone remained mild, each word struck the Succubus Queen like thunder.

The Demon Emperor carried on, “Now Meng Anwen is moving, and your broken society can’t even discern what he’s doing. Tell me, what use is something so useless?”

The Succubus Queen trembled, falling to her knees in midair, not daring to make a sound.

In the Abyssal World, the Demon Emperor’s will was absolute.

A black crystal ball drifted from the palace, landing in her hands.

“Take this crystal ball and go to the Human World. Get as close as possible to where Meng Anwen is building his formation and activate it.”

“You will handle this personally. Do you understand?”

The Succubus Queen shuddered violently, “I understand, Your Majesty.”

“Go.”

Once the Succubus Queen departed, silence reclaimed the vast Demon Emperor’s Palace.

For most of its long history, the palace had always been quiet.

A solitary figure emerged within the flickering firelight, its shadow stretching long across the hall.

A face, hard to describe in words, was reflected in the dancing flames.

“Emperor Di… just what are you humans plotting?”

The Emperor Di he spoke of was none other than the only half-step Transcendent God-level powerhouse among humans, the same old man often mentioned by Meng Anwen and Bai Yiyuan.

Clutching the Demon Emperor’s crystal ball, the Succubus Queen left the palace, her heart heavy with unease.

She hadn’t planned to report anything about the humans to the Demon Emperor.

After all, she herself knew nothing concrete, only fragments and rumors about Meng Anwen’s schemes.

Yet somehow, the Demon Emperor had learned of it and summoned her directly.

When questioned, the Succubus Queen hadn’t dared to hide a single thing.

“If I ever find out who tattled to the Demon Emperor. “She thought darkly, “I swear I won’t let them go.”

Of course, she didn’t dare let that thought show on her face.

Who knew what kind of power the crystal ball held? What if it recorded her expression and sent it back to the Demon Emperor?

Now, she had no choice but to obey the Demon Emperor’s command—to go to the Human World.

Naturally, her main body couldn’t go; instead, she would send an avatar.

A vast barrier separated the Abyssal World and the Human World. If her main body were to cross it, the price would be unimaginable.

Dispatching an avatar, however, though still costly, was at least within tolerance.

The Demon Emperor had said to go personally, but hadn’t specified which body.

Still, the human race’s God-level experts were not to be underestimated. There was a very real chance her avatar wouldn’t return alive.

The Succubus Queen seethed. Whoever had tattled would pay dearly for this.

As she fumed, a flash of black light appeared before her.

The Darkfiend King appeared in her line of sight.

The Succubus Queen halted, “Darkfiend King, what brings you here?”

“I came to ask about the human, Lin Moyu.” He replied.

As head of the Demon Worship Society, the Succubus Queen possessed the finest intelligence network in the Human World.

Her eyes gleamed slyly as she smiled, “Of course. But as it happens, I’ve just been ordered by the Demon Emperor to visit the Human World.”

The Darkfiend King was slightly taken aback, “You intend to go with your main body?”

The Succubus Queen shook her head, “Of course not. Sending my main body would be far too costly and dangerous. I can’t afford that.”

“Even sending an avatar makes my heart ache.”

The Darkfiend King understood immediately. Without hesitation, he took out a pitch-black Abyssal Stone.

At its core, Abyssal Fire burned fiercely.

In the Abyss, Abyssal Stones were ranked by grade, and their worth varied accordingly.

The one the Darkfiend King produced was top-grade grade and was extremely precious.

He offered the Abyssal Stone to the Succubus Queen, “Succubus Queen, I’d like to trouble you to take my avatar along.”

She giggled, accepting the top-grade Abyssal Stone, “No trouble at all, Darkfiend King. You’re too kind.”

Half a day later, on a remote island in the Human World, a grand ritual was underway.

Hundreds of figures stood on the island. A dozen of them formed a circle, surrounding a blazing Abyssal Stone at the center.

The flames spread, engulfing their bodies.

None of them screamed. They stood firm, faces serene, eyes filled with reverence.

“Burn my soul, and scorch my flesh!”

“In faith of My Lady, eternal shall I be!”

“Sacrifice!”

The fire roared skyward. Within moments, their bodies crumbled to ash.

From the heart of the flames, a spatial channel opened.

A seductive laugh echoed as the avatars of the Succubus Queen and the Darkfiend King emerged.

Those lives had been the price for the summoning. The Demon Worship Society had already dwindled, and the loss of these devout followers pained the Succubus Queen somewhat.

“Welcome, My Lady!”

Everyone on the island knelt, bowing low before her.

The Darkfiend King turned his gaze to the horizon, sensing the direction of his target, “My thanks, Succubus Queen.”

She smiled charmingly, “Take care, Darkfiend King.”

He nodded grimly, “Last time, I was careless. This time, Lin Moyu won’t be so lucky.”

With that, he transformed into a streak of black light and vanished into the distance.

The Succubus Queen watched him go, her lips curling in disdain, as though watching a fool rush to his own doom.
