Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

80 - New Star and Lone Wolf

Shu Han appeared just in time. Lin Moyu has a question to ask her.

”Do you know which dungeons give more EXP?”

He originally thought that the amount of EXP dungeons provide is basically determined by their level -- the higher the level, the more EXP it naturally provides.

Now it seems that this isn’t necessarily the case.

Level 17 Mutated Forest and level 20 Spider Nest, there is a difference of three levels between the two dungeons, yet the difference in EXP they provide is nearly three times.

And now that he cleared Spider Nest once, the efficiency will be improved next time.

Shu Han didn’t find the question strange at all, ”Spider Nest is also known as the holy land of EXP. Among dungeons below level 25, it gives the most EXP.”

The holy land of EXP, this sounds a little interesting.

The number of monsters in the dungeon is massive. Although each Small Spider doesn’t provide much EXP, but when it is added up, the amount is staggering.

Shu Han suddenly said, ”But in my opinion, it’s not that simple. In fact, if you don’t care about the spending points, the EXP given in Spider Nest is actually nothing much.”

Oh?

After a moment of thought, Lin Moyu understood the meaning behind Shu Han’s words.

EXP is based on the abundance of monsters.

But finding and killing monsters takes time.

It took him 1 hour and 32 minutes to clear the dungeon this time.

The EXP the dungeon provided appears to be very high, about three times that of Mutated Forest.

However, it takes him just 20-plus minutes to raid Mutated Forest.

The time it takes him to raid Spider Nest is enough to raid Mutated Forest four times.

As such, the amount of EXP obtained from Mutated Forest in this period of time is higher.

Why do other people say that Spider Nest is a holy land of EXP?

The key is points.

Repeatedly raiding a dungeon requires constantly dispelling the cooldown period.

For low-level dungeons like this, entrance only costs 10 points, while dispelling the cooldown period requires 40 points.

Consequently, Spider Nest has become known as a holy land of EXP to others.

”Thank you.”

Lin Moyu sincerely thanked Shu Han.

Shu Han shook her hands, ”There’s no need for thanks. After all, this is something you would have learned sooner or later.”

She can tell that Lin Moyu doesn’t seem to care much about points.

Lin Moyu said, ”Do you know of any dungeons that are quick to clear and yield a lot of EXP?”

”Quick to clear and yield a lot of EXP...” Shu Han tilted her head and thought for a moment.

Lin Moyu believes that there shouldn’t be many dungeons like this.

Shu Han thought for a moment. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. ”You can form a party with others and go to the large-scale dungeon Tyrant Desert.”

In dungeon hall, there are three special dungeons.

Two are large-scale dungeons and one is a super large-scale dungeon.

In general, a party of 40 is needed to clear a large-scale dungeon.

As for the super large-scale dungeon, over 100 people are required.

If the class users are well-equipped and their levels ares sufficiently high, then the number of people necessary to raid a large-scale dungeon can be reduced to 30 or even 25.

From this, a new role emerged -- carrying.

Many students form parties and carry people to clear large-scale dungeons and level grind.

The carried person doesn’t need to do anything. They only need to pay a certain amount of points.

In a large-scale dungeon, there are many monsters, providing a large amount of EXP.

Shu Han continued, ”Due to safety concerns, the academy has strict level requirements for dungeons. However, there is an exception, namely the large-scale dungeons.”

”Tyrant Desert is a level 25 large-scale dungeon, and it can be accessed from level 20 onwards, up to level 30.”

”When you reach level 20, you can go to the party recruitment center to look for a party. So long as you pay a certain amount of points, you can find a party to take you level grinding.”

”After all, the higher the level of a dungeon, the harder and more dangerous it is to solo it.”

Lin Moyu understands that she spoke out of consideration and thanked her softly.

Shu Han chuckled, ”It’s okay. After all, I took your points.”

”Alright, it’s getting late. I’m calling it a day.”

”If there is anything you don’t understand in the future, you can ask me.”

She used a Teleportation Stone and left Dungeon Hall.

It was indeed getting late. Lin Moyu looked at the time, and saw that it was already 9:00 pm.

After an entire day of combat, he couldn’t help but feel a bit tired.

Although he just leveled up, and all his attributes have been restored completely.

Even if he had any injuries, they would have healed during the level up.

But the mental strain caused by prolonged combat can’t be erased just like that.

What’s more, the Skeletal Warriors received damage in the previous battle.

Although the damage isn’t severe, but it will take some time for them to fully recover.

Lin Moyu looked at the dungeon and decided to come back tomorrow.

He activated the Teleportation Stone and left Dungeon Hall.

At night, the academy was quiet. Lin Moyu headed back to his dormitory.

Despite only having arrived two days ago at the academy, so much has already occurred.

This kind of life is much more exciting than his day-to-day during high school.

At high school, he learned some basic knowledge. As for knowledge pertaining to after class awakening, he didn’t learn most of it. He couldn’t find any additional information either.

Because it is unknown what sort of class you will awaken -- combat-type, support-type, or livelihood-type -- only some basic knowledge was taught by the school.

Only by awakening a combat-tape class can you gain more access to knowledge pertaining to combat-type classes.

The same applies to support-type classes.

Some support-type classes such as Prophet and Spren Elder also need to participate in combat.

As for support-type classes like Alchemists and Concocter, they may not enter a dungeon their entire life.

Knowledge pertaining to classes is strictly delaminated.

After a few days, class users from all over the empire, admitted into Xiajing Academy, will come.

At that time, classes will start, and the academy will impart the students all the necessary knowledge.

Lin Moyu is not in a hurry for now.

After returning to the dormitory, he filled his stomach with some simple food.

Before the trial started, Ning Yiyi bought a lot of food, some of which was subsequently left at his place.

He summoned four skeletons and threw them into the summon space.

The number of Skeletal Warriors under his command has reached 116.

After a moment, his breathing turned faint, and he entered the state of meditation.

At this time, in a secret space of Xiajing Academy.

There are three people sitting opposite each other in the secret space.

Bai Yiyuan smiled, ”Well, didn’t I tell you? This kind is something else.”

Meng Anwen uttered, ”He soloed Mermaid Dungeon and seized all three Mermaid’s Tears of this year. He gave the people of Sakura Kingdom a vicious slap in the face and crushed their Onmyoji, as well as showed the guys from Qianlong Institute that there’s a big gap between them.”

”Since they were nurtured by the academy, they believed themselves amazing and looked down on imperial tip scorers. They finally had a rude awakening.”

Meng Anwen looked at Hong Shan as he spoke, a mischievous smile on his face.

As the dean of Qianlong Institute, Hong Shan naturally wasn’t thrilled that his students were humiliated.

He couldn’t help but snort and ignored Meng Anwen.

Bai Yiyuan chuckled, ”In fact, I had the kid take part in the trial to see what he is capable of. However, the kid is just too quiet.”

Meng Anwen took a sip of tea, ”What is his talent? Have you inquired about it?”

”It’s a talent of amplification. However, I didn’t ask about the specifics. I reckon the amplifications shouldn’t be small.”

Meng Anwen looked over, a strange gleam in his eyes.

Bai Yiyuan took another sip of tea, ”Everyone has their secrets. I have never asked you about your talent, either. In fact, if someone asked you, would you be happy?”

If someone inquired about his talent, Meng Anwen feels that he will take it as an affront.

”Alright, I get it. A talent of amplification, it is indeed impressive. Such a talent has appeared before.”

”If his skills are formidable enough, coupled with this talent, his future is bright.”

Bai Yiyuan smiled, ”I also think this kid has a promising future. Moreover, his sister is already a member of Chuangshen Institute. She is also favored by that old man.”

Hiss!

Despite being a calm and collected character, Meng Anwen couldn’t help but draw in a sharp breath.

He doesn’t regard people who are able to enter Chuangshen Institute as anything special.

After all, although the students of Chuangshen Institute are each a paragon, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they will become a big shot in the end.

But if it’s someone favored by the old man...

That’s completely different.

Bai Yiyuan slapped his thigh and laughed, ”I was also stupefied when I first learned it.”

Meng Anwen asked, ”Do you know the reason behind this?”

Bai Yiyuan shook his head, ”To catch the eye of the old man, there must be something special about her. After all, as you must know, the old man’s standards are really high.”

”It seems that the human race will soon gain two more new stars.”

Meng Anwen took a sip of tea, and then spoke unhurriedly.

Hong Shan, who hasn’t spoken until now, suddenly opened his mouth, ”It’s a new star and a lone wolf.”

Lin Moyu, who is just too quiet, really seems like a lone wolf.
