69 - Completion Of The Trial; I Will Never Party Up With That Guy Again

The gate of the Mermaid Queen’s palace opened.

A strange aura swept out.

Blue light enveloped the space.

Along with the light, the Mermaid Queen emerged.

Noble, elegant, and beautiful.

Although she isn’t human, but that doesn’t detract from her beauty.

”So beautiful.”

Ning Yiyi’s eyes were covered with a mist, and her eyes lost focus.

She subconsciously walked toward the Mermaid Queen.

Lin Moyu pulled her back.

Not only Ning Yiyi, but also Jiang Taotao has been affected.

Lin Moyu, Miao Yu, and Duan Gao still maintained their lucidity.

Miao Yu exclaimed, ”It’s Bewitchment.”

As she spoke, she quickly cast her skill, and beams of light fell on everyone.

Skill: Sober Up.

Ning Yiyi roused, ”What’s wrong with me?”

Jiang Taotao shuddered, and her eyes regained focus, ”What happened?”

Miao Yu looked at the Mermaid Queen, ”She possesses a natural Bewitchment skill. You and Yiyi were both affected by it. I used my skill Sober Up to dispel the Bewitchment.”

Lin Moyu, Duan Gao, and Miao Yu have relatively high spirit force, so the Mermaid Queen’s natural Bewitchment skill didn’t affect them.

Ning Yiyi had chills go down her spine, ”That was scary.”

Jiang Taotao took a deep breath, ”After all, as a boss, it’s not strange for her to have some special ability.”

She has gone through multiple dungeons, though not of a high level. But she learned that some bosses possess special abilities.

It’s hard to defend against them effectively.

She almost fell for it.

The Mermaid Queen looked at the dead Mermaid Elite Soldiers, and then her gaze fell on the Skeletal Warriors.

Suddenly, she unleashed a scream.

The seemingly very beautiful Mermaid Queen unleashed an extremely harsh scream.

Jiang Taotao and company covered their ears, feeling wretched.

The scream of the Mermaid Queen stirred up shock waves and raised a violent wind.

The numerous corpses on the ground were immediately blown away in all directions.

Lin Moyu’s eyes constricted. He initially planned to wait for the Mermaid Queen to get closer, and then use Corpse Explosion.

He didn’t expect her to blow away the corpses from the get go.

The Skeletal Warriors charged against the violent wind.

Faced against the Mermaid Queen, who is at least five meters tall, the Skeletal Warriors seem rather insignificant.

The Skeletal Warriors look like they will topple at the first blow. However, the violent wind released by the Mermaid Queen wasn’t able to take them down.

As the Skeletal Warriors set out, Detection followed suit.

[Mermaid Queen (boss rank monster)]

[Level: 24]

[Strength: 5,000]

[Agility: 6,000]

[Spirit: 5,000]

[Physique: 6,000]

[Skills: Terrifying Screech, Huge Waves, Queen’s Weeping]

The Mermaid Queen has extremely high attributes, exceeding the Skeletal Warrior in terms of agility and physique.

As for strength and spirit, she is about equally matched with them.

After all, she is a level 24 dungeon boss.

The Skeletal Warriors, on the other hand, are only level 17. There is full seven levels difference between the two sides.

Jiang Taotao was shocked when she saw the attributes of the Mermaid Queen.

She swallowed, ”Compared to other dungeon bosses, the attributes of the Mermaid Queen are higher.”

”If it were a normal dungeon gameplay, it would take at least one hour to eliminate her.”

The normal dungeon gameplay that Jiang Taotao spoke of involves a party with a comprehensive set of damage dealers.

A party of six -- one Knight, two supports, and three damage dealers -- can slowly grind down the dungeon boss.

But now...

She isn’t able to estimate what will happen next.

Lin Moyu completely subverted her intrinsic understanding.

Can the gap between classes really reach such a degree?

She can’t wrap her head around it.

The 20 Skeletal Warriors surrounded the Mermaid Queen and launched fierce attacks.

The Mermaid Queen gripped a huge trident and swept with it successively.

Every time they were swept by her trident, Skeletal Warrior would be beat back, and then would get back up and continue to attack.

Lin Moyu could perceive the Skeletal Warriors suffer damage due to the attacks of the Mermaid Queen.

The Mermaid Queen’s strength attribute has reached 5,000 points, which is sufficient to deal considerable damage to the Skeletal Warriors.

And besides, the Mermaid Queen’s physique attribute has reached 6,000 points, greatly reducing the damage that the Skeletal Warriors deal to her.

The Skeletal Warriors attacking the Mermaid Queen feel like a wolf pack besieging a male lion.

In the current situation, it’s hard to say if the 20 Skeletal Warriors will be able to defeat the Mermaid Queen.

After exchanging a number of blows, several Skeletal Warriors had their bones broken.

Their movements began to slow down.

Jiang Taotao discovered this, ”Duan Gao, provide us with status buffs. Be ready to fight at any time.”

She plans to step in when the Skeletal Warriors can no longer hold on.

Lin Moyu uttered in a low voice, ”There’s no need.”

A faint light emanated from his palm.

A huge red net fell from the sky.

Skill: Slowing Curse!

The Mermaid Queen’s head was shrouded in red chains, and her speed decreased by half.

Her combat power dropped sharply.

Sensing the curse, the Mermaid Queen shone, and then screamed once again.

Skill: Huge Waves!

Azure light illuminated the space, and towering waves surged, sweeping the Skeletal Warriors.

Then, the huge waves rose into the sky, launching the Skeletal Warriors into the air.

The Skeletal Warriors span within the huge waves, massive forces tearing at them.

Several Skeletal Warriors suffered serious damage.

Bones broke one after another.

Lin Moyu promptly put these Skeletal Warriors away.

Jiang Taotao gripped her sword and shield, thinking that she will have to step in herself.

When the skill ended, the huge waves disappeared, and Skeletal Warriors dropped from midair air.

At this moment, Lin Moyu pointed with his finger.

Along with a cool breeze, a dark mass appeared in front of everyone’s eyes.

He released all the remaining 88 Skeletal Warriors.

As soon as the Skeletal Warriors appeared, they rushed toward the Mermaid Queen like bolts of lightning.

”There are so many.”

”How come there are so many summons.”

Only now did they realize that Lin Moyu hadn’t released all his summons, that he had only released a portion.

Jiang Taotao even thought that if he wanted, Lin Moyu could easily eliminate the Mermaid-type monsters back then at the foot of the mountain.

Just a few large explosions would suffice.

Close to 100 Skeletal Warriors besieged the Mermaid Queen.

In the blink of an eye, the Skeletal Warriors had crawled all over the huge body of the Mermaid Queen.

They unleashed their skill one after another and attacked the Mermaid Queen without stop.

The Mermaid Queen’s flesh was lacerated, and she screamed incessantly.

She swung the trident wildly and jumped chaotically.

Under the effect of Slowing Curse, her speed decreased by half. She basically wasn’t able to shake off the Skeletal Warriors.

Suddenly, the sound of crying drilled into the ears.

Skill: Queen’s Weeping!

The Mermaid Queen used her skill.

Jiang Taotao and Ning Yiyi were both affected by the crying.

Their eyes lost focus again.

Miao Yu quickly used the skill Sober Up.

However, this time Sober Up didn’t work.

”Not good, my level is too low. My Sober Up can’t dispel the boss’s skill.”

Lin Moyu said in a low voice, ”It’s fine.”

As long as he isn’t affected, things will be fine.

He pulled Ning Yiyi by the arm, while Miao Yu pulled Jiang Taotao, not allowing them to go to the Mermaid Queen.

Lin Moyu’s spirit is high enough not to be affected.

His Skeletal Warriors won’t be affected either.

After all, they have no emotions.

They have no sense of pain nor fear, nor do they have feelings toward the fairer sex.

The blades of the Skeletal Warriors never stopped.

Seeing that her skill had no effect, the Mermaid Queen attacked with her trident once again.

When the Mermaid Queen terminated her skill, Ning Yiyi and Jiang Taotao came back to their senses.

The two revealed a shade of lingering fear on their faces.

This skill is too terrifying. The two basically have no way to resist it.

Blue light erupted again, and huge waves surged.

The huge waves swept some of the Skeletal Warriors away. However, a portion forcibly held onto the Mermaid Queen.

While holding with one hand onto the Mermaid Queen, they gripped their blade with the other hand and proceeded to attack the opponent.

This time, the effect of the huge waves wasn’t very good.

The battle lasted for a full three minutes.

In the end, the Mermaid Queen unleashed a final miserable cry and collapsed to the ground.

[Killed Mermaid Queen, EXP +80,000]

[Obtained silver rank weapon, Mermaid Queen’s Sword]

[Obtained silver rank weapon, Mermaid Queen’s Stave]

[Obtained Mermaid’s Tear x1]

[Mermaid Queen’s Sword: silver rank, strength +50, physique +50, increases the power of Warrior-type skills by 10%, usable after level 20.]

[Mermaid Queen’s Stave: silver rank, spirit +50, physique +50, increases the power of Mage-type skills by 10%, usable after level 20.]

When she saw the notifications, Jiang Taotao excitedly clenched her fists.

In addition to the Mermaid’s Tear, they also obtained two silver rank weapons.

Their attributes are much better than those of bronze rank weapons.

A 10% boost in the power of skills, this can greatly enhance the combat power of various classes.

Ning Yiyi jumped up happily, ”Alright, the trial mission has been completed.”

”With this, we are one step closer to joining Chuangshen Institute.”

Jiang Taotao smiled and said, ”As long as we complete a few more trial missions and raise our levels, we will surely be able to enter Chuangshen Institute.”

”It’s all thanks to Lin Moyu. If it weren’t for him, we probably wouldn’t have been able to complete the trial.”

Miao Yu said quietly, ”That’s right. As for that guy Ling Zhen, he’s the worst.”

”Don’t even mention it. I will never party up with that guy again.”

Jiang Taotao gritted her teeth. She despises people like Ling Zhen the most.

Lin Moyu calculated the time.

It has been about half an hour since they entered the dungeon.

Outside the dungeon, the two sides may still be facing off.

Even if other parties enter the dungeon, they probably won’t be able to clear it that fast.

”Yiyi, do you have a Cooldown Charm?”

Ning Yiyi’s beautiful eyes flickered. She promptly understood what Lin Moyu is thinking.

She greened and said, ”Of course I have.”
