Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

64 - Trial Mission; Mermaid’s Tears

A huge tower emerged in the air.

The giant tower is extremely famous.

”It’s Shenxia Tower!”

Ning Yiyi uttered in a low voice.

At this moment, Lin Moyu was also somewhat shaken.

He has never seen Shenxia Tower before.

Unexpectedly, Shenxia Tower appeared in the air.

The tower’s top emitted a dazzling light that enveloped Qianlong Institute.

The students in Qianlong Institute were teleported to the site of the trial.

The teleportation lasted more than 10 seconds. Judging from the time it took, the trial is located quite far from Xiajing Academy.

The sound of waves entered the ears.

Xihai City is close to the sea. Lin Moyu is quite familiar with the sound of waves, so there’s no way he would mistake it.

The site of the trial is by the sea.

Both feet were planted on the ground again.

Dazzling sunlight entered the eyes.

Lin Moyu felt as if he were back at Xihai City’s seaside.

Ning Yiyi’s small face has become somewhat pale, her small hand tightly gripping Lin Moyu’s arm.

She pursed her lips, a sullen shade painted across her face, ”My head is spinning. Long-distance teleportation is really a pain.”

Jiang Taotao said, ”You get used to it after a few more times. It’s always like this at the beginning.”

She looked at Lin Moyu with a hint of surprise. Lin Moyu showed no signs of discomfort.

”Does he often sit in teleportation formations?”

A thought welled up in her mind. At the same time, her contempt for Lin Moyu vanished by a lot.

Lin Moyu surveyed the surroundings.

They are on an island.

A short distance behind them, there is a coastline.

There is a beach at their feet.

Waves batter the shore one after another.

A short distance in front of them, there is a light curtain.

The light curtain envelopes practically the entire island.

They are outside the light curtain.

Looking through the light curtain, it seems that there are many monsters on the island.

There is a sparkling stone floating in front of each person.

”It’s a Mission Stone.”

Jiang Taotao, who is quite experienced, promptly grabbed her Mission Stone.

Lin Moyu also grabbed his Mission Stone.

The moment the Mission Stone entered his hand, he understood what the trial mission is.

The island is called Mermaid Island.

The island is filled with a large number of Mermaid-type monsters.

In the center of Mermaid Island, there is a dungeon.

Mermaid Dungeon.

Their trial mission is to enter Mermaid Island, go to the center of the island, and enter Mermaid Dungeon.

They have to kill the dungeon’s final boss and obtain a Mermaid’s Tear.

The trial has three key points.

The first point is that in order to enter Mermaid Island, the average level of a party must be 20 at most.

That’s the average level, not the individual level.

A party can only consist of six people at most.

Because they will need to face a boss, the level of the Knight must naturally be higher.

In this way, it is necessary to bring a person with a lower level to balance the levels.

This position was supposed to belong to Ling Zhen’s brother. But in the last moment, Lin Moyu replaced Ling Zhen’s brother, which led to Ling Zhen’s resentment.

The second point is that Mermaid’s Tears will only drop in the nightmare rank dungeon.

As such, the overall combat power of a party should not be too low, or else it won’t be possible to clear the dungeon.

The third point is that Mermaid’s Tear will only drop three times.

Only the first three parties that clear the dungeon can obtain a Mermaid’s Tear.

Lin Moyu doesn’t understand why it was necessary to keep this confidential. ”Ultimately, it’s just clearing a dungeon.”

”Is there perhaps something special about the Mermaid’s Tear?”

Jiang Taotao finished reading the mission and said in a deep voice, ”This time’s trial mission is unexpectedly at Mermaid Island.”

Jiang Taotao has gone through many trial missions and has rich experience, and she definitely knows more than the others.

”Mermaid Dungeon only drops three Mermaid’s Tears each year.”

”Mermaid’s Tears can be used to create an extremely special item, which has great use.”

”The location of Mermaid Island is not within the territory of Shenxia Empire.”

”As such, in addition to people of Shenxia Empire, there are also people of other nations coming to Mermaid Island each year.”

”This time, everyone from Qianlong Institute was dispatched out, forming a total of 10 parties. We are Party 2.”

”We not only have to compete with other members from Qianlong Institute, but also with class users from other nations.”

Jiang Taotao explained the current situation.

Ning Yiyi asked, ”What should we do if we run into parties from other nations? Should we kill them?”

As she spoke, she unconsciously glanced at Lin Moyu, who had killed people before.

When they heard talks about killing people, the others became visibly nervous. Lin Moyu, however, remained indifferent.

Jiang Taotao shook her head, ”Generally not. Similar situations have occurred before. But at most, the dungeon’s entrance would be guarded to prevent others from entering. Rarely would someone actually be killed.

As they listened to Jiang Taotao, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Jiang Taotao proceeded to say, ”However, we can’t take things lightly. After all, people have died before.”

”Alright, let’s prepare to enter Mermaid Island.”

”Duan Gao, status buffs!”

Duan Gao responded and promptly began to release his skills.

A series of halos appeared on everyone in a flash.

Strength Enhancement! Agility Enhancement! Defense Enhancement!

Spirit Force Boost!

With the status buffs, everyone’s attributes rose sharply.

Lin Moyu felt the status buffs.

Strength, agility, physique, and spirit, the four attributes rose by 30%.

The power of Mage-type skills increased by 20%.

The status buffs can last for one hour.

Thanks to the Prophet’s status buffs, everyone’s combat power was greatly increased.

Prophet is indeed a formidable support class, especially useful when raiding dungeons of high difficulty.

With the presence of the Prophet, the combat power of the party can be raised several-fold.

However, compared to Lin Moyu’s godly talent, the Prophet’s amplification is too lacking.

”If the Prophet’s status buffs are applied to the Skeletal Warriors, will there be any effect.”

Lin Moyu willed, and a Skeletal Warrior instantly appeared beside him.

A cold wind appeared out of the blue, and the temperature in the surroundings dropped a few degrees.

The sudden appearance of the Skeletal Warrior startled the others.

The Skeletal Warrior comes with a cold wind and jumping soul fire, and the blade in its hand exudes a cold sheen.

From time to time, grating sounds are coming from the Skeletal Warrior.

Duan Gao was scared, to the point that his hands trembled, and he even stopped his skills.

Miao Yu let out a scream and hid behind Jiang Taotao.

”Crap.”

”Undead summon.”

Jiang Taotao wasn’t quite calm either, ”Lin Moyu, is this your summon.”

Lin Moyu looked at Duan Gao, ”Could you give it a set of status buffs?”

”O, okay.”

Duan Gao was stunned for two seconds before regaining his composure. He tried his best to calm his nerves, and then proceeded to give everyone status buffs.

Light shone on the sandy beach, and each party member received status buffs.

They are all superior class users.

In other places, superior class users are race. But here, there is a bunch of them.

Lin Moyu already understood what God Bai meant by internal members of Xiajing Academy.

These people have displayed their talents early on. They learned and grew at Xiajing Academy from a young age, and then awakened their class at Xiajing Academy.

It can be said that they are class users cultivated by Xiajing Academy.

Each one of them is basically a superior class user that received the best education and enjoyed first-rate resources.

They have surpassed class users of other places by far.

Ning Yiyi, for example, is the same age as Lin Moyu, yet has already reached level 19.

And she knows much more than Lin Moyu.

Jiang Taotao is only one year older than Ning Yiyi and Lin Moyu, yet she has already reached level 23.

”Eh?”

Duan Gao showed surprise, ”My skills can’t be applied to it.”

The status buff halos dissipated as soon as they appeared on the Skeletal Warrior.

He tried several more times, but to no avail.

Lin Moyu was not disappointed.

It is probably because his talent is too formidable, overpowering low-level skills of Duan Gao.

”Can’t even receive status buffs, truly useless.” Ling Zhen snorted coldly, disdainful.

Lin Moyu looked at him with cold eyes.

This is the third or fourth time that the other party has provoked him. Lin Moyu is getting fed up.

The Skeletal Warrior’s eyes glimmered with a red light, and it turned to look at Ling Zhen. Soul fire pulsated ceaselessly and cold wind surged.

Ling Zhen’s hair stood on end, and he subconsciously took a step back. The stave in his hand emitted firelight.

Jiang Taotao reacted extremely quickly, promptly positioning herself between the two, ”If you want to fight, wait until the trial is over.”

Lin Moyu nodded and withdrew his gaze.

Ling Zhen took a deep breath, trying hard to restrain himself.

When the Skeletal Warrior looked at him just now, he sensed danger to his life.

Along with a rumble, the trial began.

Jiang Taotao said promptly, ”Let’s enter the island”

The several people forming a party were regarded by the light curtain as a unit.

Their average level is precisely 20, meeting the rules.

Everyone felt as if they passed through a water curtain and entered Mermaid Island.
