STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Central University 14:

Jeremy comes to his class. He saw that everyone was ready to leave. Upon seeing this, Jacob nodded his head.

Jacob said, ”Jeremy, you will be responsible for the safety of your members. In case other department students meet with danger, don’t hesitate to help them.”

Hearing that, Jeremy was stunned. He didn’t expect Instructor Jacob to be straightforward.

Then he replied, ”I have no problem.”

”Good, we can leave now. Others will be waiting at the City Gate,” Jacob said.

”Are the Medicine and Machinery Department people coming?” Jeremy asked.

Jacob smiled and said, ”Yes, they are coming as well. Don’t worry, we have enough staff accompanying us, including the instructor from the Training Ground, Ariel Burt.”

Jeremy sighed in relief since the senior beast tamers were coming along with them. He can put his heart at ease.

”Brother Jeremy, let’s go,” Daniel said.

”Today we are going to fight against the corrupted beasts,” Betsy Lowe said from the side.

”Okay,” Jeremy replied with a smile. He had expected such things to happen.

Then the group left the department building and went toward the exit.

Soon, they reached the city gate in the flying cab. When they exited the car, they saw a large number of people dressed in Central University uniforms.

Only Jeremy was wearing the combat suit like a professional. Jacob paid the fare to the driver before leading the trio toward the large group.

There were other instructors monitoring the students.

Jeremy saw other 9 department students had gathered here, which was more than 100 students. All of a sudden, Jeremy felt uneasy.

He immediately started using his eye ability to observe the surroundings. He didn’t want any mishaps to happen today.

Daniel and Betsy, who were walking forward, were stunned. They turned around and saw Jeremy had stopped walking. He was looking around the surroundings.

”What is he doing?” Daniel uttered.

”He is checking out the surroundings,” Betsy replied.

Instructor Jacob raised his eyebrows, but he didn’t disturb him. He knew Jeremy Night had his own worries. If there were hostile parties going after Jeremy Night on this trip, then it would become troublesome.

Elder Derek had already discussed this issue with him.

”Let him do his work,” Jacob uttered.

Hearing that, Betsy and Daniel recovered their thoughts. Then they started following Jacob to the front.

The other 9 department instructors were keeping an eye on their students. They also saw STRIKER department people coming.

Upon seeing Jacob, they reacted. When they saw Jeremy Night’s actions, they were stunned. They didn’t know what he was doing right now.

To be honest, if there was one person they were looking forward to seeing, it was none other than Jeremy Night. The Beast Tamer students noticed the instructors’ reaction.

They followed their gaze and found that members of the STRIKER Department had arrived as well. Then they saw Jeremy Night scanning the surroundings.

Seeing that, they were all dumbfounded. They were all standing nervously here, but Jeremy Night had started acting leisurely upon arrival.

Among them, May Lindsey and Victor Scott’s expressions changed upon seeing Jeremy Night. They were a little tense. They couldn’t help but recall the video where Jeremy Night slayed the Tier-4 Hound Beast effortlessly.

Victor Scott still felt goosebumps all over his body. After that video, his opinion about Jeremy Night had changed. He understood that Jeremy Night had the ability to go against the Tier-4 Beast Tamer.

May Lindsey was trying to calm her heart. She represented the Elemental Department. As an S-Grade talent, her strength was still strong right after Jeremy Night.

She didn’t even think about Victor Scott. Both of them were considering Jeremy Night as a rival instead of each other.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night found that everyone was looking at him. So he stopped using his eye ability and went forward.

Soon, he joined Daniel and Betsy. They were the 10th team here.

Jeremy saw Elder Derek and Instructor Ariel Burt as well. It had been some time since he visited the training ground to meet her.

He saw that she was watching him, so he nodded to her.

The First-Year Department Head Derek also saw Jeremy Night. He sighed inwardly. He didn’t know what was going to happen today, but he hoped that no mishap would occur.

Beside him, the Training Ground Instructor Ariel Burt was also standing. Upon seeing Jeremy Night, her eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

She could see a lot of changes in Jeremy Night. The aura was different from the 2 S-Graders who had touched the Tier-1 limit. She was starting to think that Jeremy Night was a Tier-2 Beast Tamer.

If her assumption was right, then it could be big news that could alarm the city. It’s not every year you see someone reach Tier-2 before the end of the first year, so it’s big news.

But then Ariel calmed her turbulent heart. She thought Jacob and Elder Derek knew about this as well, but they were keeping it a secret for some reason.

On the other hand, Jeremy was sweeping his gaze across the other department students who were staring intensely at him. They quickly avoided his gaze upon seeing him.

Jeremy then saw two of his school friends, Petra Ross and Levy Glass. They lowered their heads upon seeing him. Jeremy sighed inwardly.

He had stopped interacting with them since joining the university. He hadn’t expected it to be this way. But the tension between the departments made it happen.

Jeremy then saw May Lindsey and Victor Scott as well. Unlike others, they directly met his gaze. Jeremy nodded to them with a smile on his face before turning toward his position.

”Brother Jeremy, it appears everyone is looking forward to your fight,” Daniel said from the side.

Both Daniel and Betsy were watching the scene as well, how everyone’s gaze was on them. More importantly, they were looking at Jeremy Night.

”Ignore them. We should be on our guard. Once we enter the wilderness, we won’t have leisure time,” Jeremy said to them.

”Jeremy is right. Pay attention to yourself,” Jacob said from the side.
