Wilderness:

May Lindsey and her team came across the Tier-4 Beast. It’s a Tier-4 Sand Lizard. This corrupted beast has amazing defense. This particular beast is even stronger than the Hound-type beast.

May Lindsey doesn’t want to miss the opportunity. She has been looking for the beast. Now she has one. She intends to go against this one.

Hoo-hoo-hoo!

The next second, her Lifeline beast launched an attack. Powerful, long ice spikes shot at the back of the beast.

Boom!

At breakneck speed, the ice spikes landed at the back of the lizard one by one. But upon contact, the ice spikes shattered.

The skin of the lizard beast is thick. It’s not easy for the ice attack to penetrate the skin.

After the failed attack, the snow owl continued to circle around in the sky.

At the same time, May Lindsey is watching the scene in disbelief. She had expected the outcome. But still, she was shocked to see none of the ice spikes had hurt the beast.

Boom!

The Tier-4 Sand Lizard became enraged. It saw the group of attackers blocking its way. It bolted out toward them to attack.

May Lindsey’s eyes flashed with fear. Her heart filled with a sense of crisis. She was frozen in a panic.

Hoo-hoo-hoo!

The snow owl made a noise to alert her. The lifeline beast sensed her contractor was in a state of panic.

Swoosh!

The Tier-4 Lizard reached her in a flash. It would attack with one single strike to kill her. But before the beast could launch an attack—

Boom!

A 6-foot-tall Tier-5 black bull hit the lizard from the side. The next second, the lizard rolled sideways. It couldn’t withstand the attack from the Tier-5 Beast.

Then the Sand Lizard fled the area after stabilizing itself. Only then did May Lindsey heave a sigh of relief.

The sudden attack from the Tier-4 Beast had petrified her earlier.

Hoo-hoo-hoo!

The snow owl came down to the ground and landed in front of her.

”Don’t worry, I’m fine,” May said as she patted her snow owl.

Swoosh!

”Miss, you are not ready; we can go back,” a middle-aged woman said. She is one of the three Tier-5 Beast Tamers protecting her. The Black Bull was her lifeline beast.

The family Beast Tamers and the other two protectors came forward as well. They were shocked by the scene just now.

If the protector hadn’t intervened, then their miss would have been dead.

May Lindsey could feel the concerns of everyone. She calmed her heart. She is not stupid. The sense of crisis from the Tier-4 Beast had caught her off guard.

If she came across a couple of Tier-4 Beasts, then she might get used to it. But she has also decided to hunt down the Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts as well.

Then the group started searching for the beasts.

Time passed,

In the evening, she came across another Tier-4 Beast. This time it was an ape. The Ape beast is stronger than the previous Sand Lizard.

Before she could think further, the three Tier-5 Beast Tamers stopped her from fighting against this beast. Their expressions were filled with helplessness.

They understood why their miss wanted to do this. It’s because of Jeremy Night, who has done something unbelievable.

It was not easy to kill a Tier-4 beast at the Tier-1 level. It was something that could only be possible in the top 10 zones. But then Jeremy Night proved them wrong.

He had done it here. He didn’t even have S-Grade Talent. So the protectors and the family Beast Tamers understood the pressure faced by May Lindsey.

May Lindsey’s eyes flashed with anger. But then she felt really helpless. She lacked courage right now. The aura from the Tier-4 Ape had frozen her again.

She finally understood it was impossible to engage the Tier-4 Beast in close combat. The Corrupted Ape could easily kill her.

What’s more? She doesn’t have weapon skills like Jeremy Night. Otherwise, she could have used weapons to target the weak parts of the beast.

It was already evening, and she decided to go back for everyone’s safety. In the end, she was not going back without a result.

She had killed a few Tier-3 Beasts as well. She could tell that she had improved compared to before. But she didn’t dare to be complacent.

After going back, she would try to learn how to use one of the weapons. She had seen Jeremy Night using beast abilities to wield the sword.

She had the ice element as well. She could follow the same trick to injure the Tier-4 Corrupted Beast.

...

A few days passed:

The Beast Taming Association’s flight entered Zone 14’s City A. It didn’t take long for the flight to land at the airport.

About 20 minutes later,

Gisela exited the airport. She found an air cab and went to the nearest big hotel to stay. She was going to start her investigation slowly.

Soon, she reached her hotel. She quickly found her room and entered inside. The first thing she did was to investigate the room.

Seeing that it was fine, she went to sleep.

The next morning,

She woke up late. After getting ready, she came to the hotel lobby. She then sat on the sofa and began to read the magazine.

There was also live news streaming on the big screen in the hotel lobby. It didn’t take long for her to find female staff to collect some information.

The female staff was happy to help the guest. She was excited to learn that the guest was a rich customer.

Gisela didn’t reveal her identity. But the room she booked was the premium suite, so the staff immediately understood she was wealthy.

She decided to go along with it. The staff began to tell her what she knew about the city and other nearby cities.

20 minutes later,

The staff left. Gisela’s mouth curved into an arc. Just as she suspected, the City Governors were strong, but they were at the same level as her.

She didn’t have to face any other threats. But then she was surprised about another matter

She found out that there is an underground network here in the city A. She was surprised to learn that the underground network has a branch here as well.

Instead of going around and meeting people, she can easily get information from the underground network. All she has to do is pay money.

Time passed.

After having breakfast, she returned to her room. Then she contacted a few of her connections to get the address of the underground network here.

About one hour later,

She exited the hotel room and left the hotel. She was going to meet the underground network operatives. It didn’t take long for her to reach the center of the city.

It’s a commercial street filled with businesses. Her cab arrived in front of a high-rise building. The underground network, which is a dark organization, operates under different businesses here.

Gisela’s eyes flickered with surprise. She thought that the City Governors must know about this place, but they have allowed the dark organization’s operations.

She was surprised, but then she realized that the underground network is more of a black market than an actual evil organization.

She collected her thoughts before walking into their establishment. She entered the front lobby and turned around to look at the place.

There was no one at the front desk either.

Shortly afterward,

A middle-aged man and woman dressed in tuxedos came to meet her. They didn’t know about her identity, but they knew that anyone who came here was looking for the underground network.

”How may I help you?” Clark asked.

Gisela was surprised to find that they were both Tier-6 Beast Tamers.

”To think this faraway zone has high-level Beast Tamers hidden,” she thought.

”I’m here to buy information,” Gisela said.

”Name?” Anna asked.

”His name is Jeremy Night. A first-year student at Central University 14,” Gisela said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, both operatives looked at each other’s faces. The name was well known to them. The matter of Central University has always been a focal point.

”The price is 1 million points,” Clark said.

Hearing that, Gisela’s eyes flickered. Her expression turned serious for the first time. Why does a first-year university student have this number?

The middle-aged woman saw through her thoughts.

Anna said, ”Pay the money, and you will know.”

For Gisela, it wasn’t a large amount of money. She has become truly interested now. Not even S-Graders have such a price tag on their intel.

”Okay,” Gisela said before wiring the money to their organization’s account.

Seeing that the customer was paying directly without asking about the account, they both realized it must be a regular customer.

”You wait here. I’ll go and bring back the file,” Clark said before leaving.

Gisela found a sofa and sat on it. Anna sat on the opposite sofa as well.

She wanted to know what was so significant about the information. She was hoping to find the incomplete background information as well.

She knew the founder was only dissatisfied with incomplete information. Otherwise, he was happy with Jeremy Night’s recruitment.
