After the meeting ended, Jacob and Elder Derek left the dean’s office. Dean Carolyn is still keeping her hopes high. She thinks Jeremy won’t have an easy time leaving Zone 14.

She doesn’t know how soon her hopes would come crashing down.

...

Shadow Moon Organisation:

Gisela left the organization. She is going to the Beast Taming Association’s flight to get to Zone 14.

The association’s flight is carrying members and goods there. Not many flights are available to all the zones. If she misses the flight, she would have to wait a couple of days.

She doesn’t know whether she is making the right decision or not. But she trusts her instincts. She is going to verify the talent named Jeremy Night herself.

So, she is not going to make her arrival public. No one knows except Shadow Moon Founder Neil Moon that Gisela has left for the talent hunt.

Old man Neil gave her the authority to decide on the contract matter. If she finds Jeremy Night’s talent to be worthwhile, then she can make a direct decision on the contract.

Once the contract is signed, the organization would officially register Jeremy Night as their member and seek a residence permit from their City A administration.

It’s not easy to reach other zones. The zones are protected within the city walls. They face open threats from the corrupted beasts living in the wilderness.

Considering all the threats and the long distance into account, it would take more than one day for the flight to reach each zone.

Gisela calculated it would take at least 7 days to get to Zone 14. She was not disappointed. Rather, she is happy that she has time away from the chaotic city and wilderness.

...

Zone 14, wilderness:

May Lindsey and her family of beast tamers have entered the inner part of the wilderness in search of the Tier-4 Corrupted Beast.

For her safety, her father has sent 3 Tier-5 Beast Tamers to protect her. May Lindsey was keen to achieve their record.

Hoo-hoo-hoo!

The next second, she summoned her lifeline beast outside. A snow-white owl more than 5 ft tall appeared.

It made a sound right after its appearance. May Lindsey asked the lifeline beast to scout.

Swoosh!

The huge snow owl flapped both wings before disappearing from the spot.

Seeing that, May Lindsey curved her mouth into an arc. Not only has she become stronger, but her lifeline beast was strong as well.

That’s why she was confident she could defeat Jeremy Night. But all of that confidence was gone after watching that footage.

She doesn’t know whether she can defeat a Tier-4 beast with ease. All she can say is that it’s impossible to defeat a Tier-4 beast without the help of her lifeline beast.

But Jeremy defeated one without relying on his lifeline beast. This feat alone widened the gap between them.

She thinks even with the help of her lifeline beast, it would be difficult to fight against the Tier-4 Corrupted Beast. She has already given instructions to the family beast tamers and protectors.

She wanted to fight alone. If someone intervened, it could waste her effort.

Meanwhile,

The Scott family is no different. Since Victor Scott is a control-type beast tamer, his family is selecting a Tier-4 beast for him to fight.

Jeremy Night’s condition was to defeat a Tier-4 beast. He didn’t state any kind of beast. So the Scott family is going to prioritize Victor Scott’s safety first.

...

While so many things were happening on the same day, the senior students and the families behind them were frustrated as well.

They didn’t want to see further developments of the STRIKER Department. They thought a duel challenge between 2 S-Graders would damage the rise of the STRIKER Department.

But unfortunately for them, there was no news about the duel challenge. Everyone thought the condition proposed by Jeremy Night was accepted by the 2 S-Graders.

But no one was there to confirm it. Only the instructors of the 2 departments knew what was going on. But they refused to reveal any news to others.

Outside,

The 3rd-year student Timothy’s father is still keeping an eye on the university news. After withdrawing the task from the underground network, he is still looking for ways to complete his plan.

But the recent news coming from the campus and a few things said by his son left him disappointed. According to his son, the rise of the new department is going to happen.

In the future, resource allocation will happen. His son has still one more year to study. Next year, he might receive fewer resources.

He doesn’t know why other families are staying silent. But Simon chooses to wait for a couple more days. He thinks the duel challenge is going to happen.

Once the 2 S-Graders win the duel, then the first-year limelight would be on them. People would eventually forget about the new STRIKER department.

He thinks there is no need for him to take risks right now.

...

Time passed.

Jeremy walks out of the library before the start of dusk. He is now heading towards the joint training facility. On the way, he saw other students. They were going about their business.

He simply nods at those who greet him with a smile. Apart from those two departments, the other department students behave normally.

Soon, he arrives at the joint training facility. He quickly walks inside and heads towards the available room.

Those who were training inside with tools paused their movements for a second. They continued to stare at Jeremy until he found an empty room to enter.

Once he was gone, the other students immediately looked at each other and started discussing.

”He is here!”

”Looks like he went to the wilderness yesterday.”

”But there is no news about him going to the mission building.”

”Maybe he went there for practice.”

They discussed in a low tone. They couldn’t help but talk about the insane condition. They don’t know whether the 2 S-Graders have accepted it or not.

Even their department’s students are unaware of it.
