When a Blade of Grass Wants to Become Immortal

Chapter 168: Chapter 164: Good-for-nothing x Innocent Little Overlord 3

’It’s a good thing I can use Spells,’ Ji Xiaosong thought. ’I was afraid I’d be completely helpless.’

’I’m not going to just take the abuse I suffered today. I have to pay it all back!’

”Rongrong, at midnight, go turn off the house’s security cameras. It would be best to just flip the main circuit breaker.”

”What are you planning to do?”

”What else? I’m going to give everyone in this family a brutal beating, so much so that they won’t be able to get out of bed tomorrow. Otherwise, how am I supposed to go deposit the money for Mom’s hospital fees in the morning?”

The modern world Ji Xiaosong had transmigrated into wasn’t that technologically advanced. Mobile payments hadn’t appeared yet, so paying hospital bills was still basically all done with cash.

”Well... don’t be too rough. Don’t kill them.”

”Don’t worry, I won’t.”

At two in the morning, the whole family was finally asleep.

Ji Xiaosong twitched a finger, and the door to the room she was locked in opened on its own.

”Song, the circuit breaker for the villa has been shut off. But to avoid raising suspicion from the maids and butler who live outside, I only cut the power to the main building.”

”Okay, that’s enough.”

Ji Xiaosong strode out brazenly. Her first stop was the room belonging to Ji Fu and her stepmother, Li Liping.

Arriving at her stepmother’s door, she slowly turned the handle.

The door opened with a CREAK that sounded particularly piercing in the silent night.

Li Liping was lying in bed with Ji Fu, both snoring steadily.

A vicious glint flashed in Ji Xiaosong’s eyes. She tiptoed to the bedside, forced the pair into a deep stupor, and then set up a soundproofing Barrier in the room. With that done, she abruptly drew a soft whip she had prepared beforehand.

This soft whip was made of a special material. It inflicted excruciating pain but left no obvious marks.

With a SWISH, the whip cut an arc through the air and landed heavily on her stepmother’s back.

Li Liping didn’t wake from her sleep, but she still let out a miserable scream.

Ji Xiaosong showed no mercy, lashing her again and again. Each strike was accompanied by Li Liping’s choked cries.

”This is for bullying me all the time! This is for scheming after my mom’s life-saving money!”

Li Liping’s back was soon covered in red, swollen welts. Her face was contorted in agony, and a mixture of tears and sweat soaked her pillow.

After dealing with Li Liping, Ji Xiaosong turned her gaze to Ji Fu.

Even with all the commotion just now, Ji Fu hadn’t woken up.

Ji Fu was sleeping soundly, his snores shaking the heavens.

Ji Xiaosong looked at this man, her heart filled with disappointment and fury.

These were the original owner’s emotions, and they were threatening to overwhelm her.

She picked up a spray bottle filled with water mixed with a special potion. Spraying it on someone’s face would induce a temporary stupor and cause muscle aches all over the body.

She walked to the bedside and sprayed it furiously at Ji Fu’s face.

Ji Fu’s snores came to an abrupt halt. His body began to twitch, and a pained expression appeared on his face.

A moment later, he fell back into a deep, comatose sleep.

Ji Xiaosong looked at her father and said coldly, ”As a father, you failed to tell right from wrong and let my stepmother and stepsister bully me. This is what you get!”

Finally, Ji Xiaosong went to Ji Yao’s room.

Ji Yao was having a sweet dream, a slight smile on her lips.

Ji Xiaosong had no intention of going easy on her. She took a small taser from her pocket and crept toward the bed.

”AHH!”

Ji Yao suddenly let out a shriek, her body trembling violently.

Ji Yao wanted to scream for help but found her throat was seemingly blocked, unable to make a sound.

While torturing her with the taser, Ji Xiaosong said viciously, ”You love bullying me, don’t you? Today, you’ll get a taste of what it’s like to be bullied!”

Ji Yao’s body writhed continuously under the electric shocks, her face a mask of terror and pain.

After the brutal beatings, Ji Xiaosong looked at the three people who had tormented her endlessly, and the fire in her heart subsided slightly.

She straightened her clothes and quietly returned to her room.

When they woke up the next morning, they would only feel sore all over, as if they had been hit by a car, but they wouldn’t be able to remember what happened last night.

”Rongrong, you can turn the power back on now.”

”Alright. After what you just did, there’s no way any of them are leaving the house tomorrow.”

Early the next morning, Ji Xiaosong quietly slipped out of the house.

It really wasn’t easy to avoid the watchful eyes of the maids and the butler.

Fortunately, the hospital staff started early. After depositing the money, Ji Xiaosong went to her mother Shen Fengming’s room.

”Xiaosong, what are you doing here?”

”I came to deposit your hospital fees. You’re having surgery today.”

”They can schedule the surgery right after the money is deposited?”

The original owner had never told her mother about her suffering, so Shen Fengming had no idea what kind of life her daughter was living in the Ji family.

”Mhm, the surgeon told me about it a long time ago. I just never had the chance to deposit the money, so it wasn’t scheduled.”

The fifty thousand yuan the original owner had came from selling a piece of jewelry.

And that jewelry was a gift from Shen Fengming when she was a child.

”My illness isn’t anything serious. After the surgery today, I’ll still live for a long time. You don’t have to worry, Xiaosong. You just graduated from college; have you found a job yet?”

”No. Dad says a daughter of the Ji family doesn’t need to work, and he doesn’t let me go out often. So, Mom, I might not have as much time to come visit you in the future.”

The original owner wouldn’t have told her mother about her situation, but Ji Xiaosong felt it was necessary to say something.

The original owner had only ever reported good news and hidden the bad because she believed her mother couldn’t solve her problems anyway.

She figured there was no point in wasting time, as it would just give one more person something useless to worry about.

”Your father gives you a monthly allowance, so it’s not like you’re hurting for a salary. But if you can earn your own money, you should. After all, there isn’t much left in the family for you to inherit now.”

”How do you know there isn’t much for us to inherit, Mom? Dad has grown the family company to be very large, and it’s very profitable each month.”

”That’s good, then. Our Xiaosong will receive a lot of money in the future, too.”

”Actually, no. All the family’s money is for Ji Yao. But don’t worry about me, Mom. I’m only telling you this so you know that I’m grown up now. I understand my situation, and I’ll find a way to solve it.”

Shen Fengming was clearly shocked, but then, as if she’d thought of something, she suddenly seemed to accept it.

”I suppose so. Your father and I are divorced, and he has someone else by his side now. It’s only natural he wouldn’t be as fond of you. But Xiaosong, staying there is still better than being with me. After all, I can’t provide you with such good conditions for learning and growing.”

”Mhm, I understand.”

Just as they finished talking, a doctor walked in.

”Ms. Shen, your surgery is in an hour. We’re going to do some pre-operative preparations now.”

Ji Xiaosong politely stepped aside and took a bottle of water from her bag.

This was Spiritual Spring Water from her space, diluted ten thousand times over, which would also be beneficial for Shen Fengming’s body.

”Mom, I have to go back now. This is some special water I bought for you on my way here. Remember to drink it after your surgery.”
