Pillar of Yita

He felt incredibly lucky. Not only was he recommended by a benefactor to enter the Youth Training Camp at Tabopolis, but in just half a year, he got the chance to enter the world of Eteliria.

Although everyone said the guild was doomed, he didn’t feel that way. Everyone around him was great; together, they could get through even the toughest days with effort.

Moreover, Miss Shaye and the captain were also quite caring towards him, and now a stranger was treating him so well. This world is wonderful.

Kong couldn’t help but think, no wonder everyone wants to come here.

Fang Hong and the others didn’t linger here long either; they were originally here to send a few from the underground, it was just a small mishap they got caught in along the way.

Actually, it wasn’t even an accident. Where there are adventurers, such battles are normal.

It was an unexpected surprise to learn about the current state of the Tabopolis Oak Knights, and they also coincidentally met an ’acquaintance’, which was a gain.

Kong was left alone, holding his Magic Guided Bow in a daze, watching Fang Hong and the others walk away, disappearing in the direction of Idris City.

”Little Kong, what are you still doing here?”

A gentle voice came from behind him.

Kong turned to see a young girl carrying a Healing Wand, frowning at him.

”Teresa, why are you here?”

”Everyone else is leaving, and you’re the only one still here...” The little girl looked at him a bit speechlessly.

”Huh?” Kong was startled, ”I clearly saw the captain still there. Huh, where did the captain go?”

”The captain went over long ago, he asked me to find you,” the little girl sighed, ”Little Kong, it’s almost November, the evaluation is near, you can’t keep being so absent-minded.”

”I’m not absent-minded,” the young man’s face was slightly awkward, ”The captain just praised me, I know you’re talking about Vin and them, but my score wasn’t any worse than theirs, and this time I got a secret weapon, I can definitely pass.”

As he spoke, he patted the Magic Guided Bow he had just acquired with some pride.

The young girl just frowned as she looked at him.

...

The Seven Seas Traveler didn’t stay in Idris for too long because Fang Hong found that the time window for going to Scepter Coast was shrinking.

If he wanted to sail from Rainbow Bay along the cold current, he had to reach Gula Port before November.

After mid-December, the Northern Wind Element would enter an inactive phase under the cold weather, and the northern coastline of Scepter Coast would be practically frozen.

At that time, they wouldn’t be able to reach Coldwater Port.

Not to mention that there’s also a window of time to reach the Empire, having to catch the summer-autumn monsoon, making their time pressing indeed.

But regardless of how pressing, a trip to Crosswind Harbor was necessary.

The Stargate had returned to normal, and his uncle and aunt were returning to Earth. Fang Hong had to see them before they left.

Or rather, they hadn’t set off yet because they were waiting here for him.

Besides, it was necessary to have a meeting with the military. Luo Hao had to go back and write a report — after all, his other identity was a genuine military officer.

Additionally, the matter of whether Tang Xin and Ai Xiaoxiao would stay or leave was still unresolved.

Ai Xiaoxiao’s parents also arrived at Crosswind Harbor, evidently for this very reason.

Ai Xiaoxiao, fortunately, had a strong personal wish to stay.

But as for his own cousin’s mind, Fang Hong found it hard to read.

From his personal perspective, he naturally hoped his cousin could stay since the Seven Seas Traveler genuinely needed a healer.

As for personal ability and reliability, who could compare to the crybaby?

Yet Fang Hong also understood that the crybaby valued her education and was not as interested in this world as one might imagine.

Though he vaguely had a premonition that if he asked her to stay, she probably would.

But Fang Hong couldn’t help but think, would it be too selfish if he did that?

He pondered until his head hurt, but Tang Xin seemed to see his thoughts. When they were alone, she suddenly spoke:

”Brother, don’t worry, even if I go back to finish my studies, I’ll return afterward.”

”In any case, I won’t let those small leaves of yours go to waste.”

Fang Hong did believe in Tang Xin’s words.

Unlike his unreliable self, she always kept her promises.

Still, he couldn’t help but smile bitterly, as that wasn’t the issue of those few leaves at all.

But it’s fine, since the crybaby had made a decision, he didn’t have to think too much about it.

The Seven Seas Traveler encountered a turbulence while crossing the Long-Fang Strait — the winter storm circle of the Cloud Sea was forming.

Nevertheless, they arrived at Stemwind Port as scheduled. When the coastline appeared in the watchtower’s sight, Fang Hong was actually discussing the improvement of the ’Bee Swarm’ with Miss Tata.

Although the Silver Bee had been created in Istania just recently, the constructs of Combat Artisans also needed to keep up with the times.

And the biggest problem of the Silver Bee was directly related to the issues from the Combat Fairy era.

As his level increased, the Silver Bee’s attack mode seemed somewhat awkward. Yet, further enhancing its power would inevitably involve the infinite escalation of recoil issues.

On smaller platforms, balancing power and accuracy was always elusive.

However, he couldn’t enlarge the Clockwork Fairy any further.

How did the Numelin Elves solve this problem?

”Actually, there is a way,” Miss Tata suggested, ”using energy-based attacks without recoil.”

This was indeed one way.

After all, there was a successful precedential of the Spear Cavalry.

”But how do you ensure the continuity of energy-based attacks?” Fang Hong couldn’t resist asking, ”It’s not impossible to reduce the power of the Velocity Sublight Lance by half and mount it on the Silver Bee. The array itself doesn’t take much space, but more than half the size of that lance is the energy storage crystal... Without the crystal, the Silver Bee is a bona fide one-shot weapon.”

”...After firing once, it would struggle to maintain flight without magic power, needing to return to recharge immediately, unable to venture far, or else it might not make it back. What value would such a weapon have?”

”Actually, I have a method, Mr. Knight.”

Tata replied.

”Do you remember the Annihilator?”

”The Annihilator?” Fang Hong was taken aback, ”That was a Magic Guided Type Construct. Its flight mode is different from the Clockwork Fairy.”

”But I’m not talking about its main body,” Tata shook her head, ”It’s a part of it.”
