Pillar of Yita

Then a swift backhand slap sent him flying.

However, it was evident he had watched too many chaotic stories; what he imagined didn’t happen.

Fang Hong casually took over the item and handed it to the Big Catfolk to store away.

He had no grudge against the newly formed knight order, not claiming the spoils was merely a courtesy among Invokers.

But as for the reward, well, that’s a different matter; they did intervene.

He looked at the youth and asked, ”What is your name?”

The youth paused slightly and couldn’t help but glance back at his captain before replying, ”Kong, my name is Kong.”

The others gathered around, and Gita and Luo Yu had already identified the youth who had replaced them, and were somewhat curious.

”Are you a Ranger?”

”I chose the Ranger path, but I’m not an official Ranger yet.”

”You left the Youth Training Camp and entered Eteliria in less than half a year; your assessment score must be high, right?”

The youth seemed somewhat puzzled, not understanding why the other party would ask him this. To individuals, this belongs to the domain of privacy.

However, he didn’t feel offended; he thought about it a little and decided it wasn’t a secret from the guild’s point of view, so he answered truthfully, ”I got an A+.”

An A+ is considered good among ordinary people, enough to guarantee the possibility of graduating from the Youth Training Camp.

But it’s only a possibility, and the weight of assessment scores in the Youth Training Camp isn’t high—

Every year, various guilds and clubs select a batch of people from the triannual selection candidates to enter Eteliria for assessment, which is what is called graduating from the Youth Training Camp.

But graduation doesn’t mean ’advancement’; from dozens of candidates, only a few remain. In fact, when Fang Hong met Luo Yu and Gita, they were undergoing this assessment.

However, unlike the youth in front, Gita and Luo Yu had received an S+, the highest evaluation, all three years at the Youth Training Camp.

Moreover, according to them, they weren’t the only ones among their cohort who achieved perfect scores.

From this detail alone, Fang Hong could deduce that things at Tabopolis were likely not going well.

Graduating from the Youth Training Camp in half a year is one thing, but the scores didn’t imply special promotion; it seems manpower was indeed lacking.

He asked the youth several more questions, all of which Kong answered, while the swordsman seemed not to interfere, evidently acknowledging their position as big shots.

And in Eteliria, the big shots had privileges.

Finally, Kong apparently also realized they were easy to talk to, no longer feeling as tense as he did initially.

He even looked curiously at Fang Hong and tentatively asked, ”Big, big shot, are you a Combat Artisan?”

”Isn’t that obvious?” Fang Hong felt slightly exasperated.

”No, I didn’t mean it that way,” Kong said, sweating profusely, ”I, I’ve just never seen such an impressive Combat Artisan as you.”

Tianlan burst out laughing, ”How long have you been in Eteliria anyway?”

Of course, she didn’t dare add that their Lord Captain was also a rookie half a year ago.

Kong awkwardly scratched his head, thinking it made sense.

But at this moment, Fang Hong took out a Magic Guided Bow and handed it to him, saying, ”Meeting is fortuitous, let me gift you something.”

Seeing the Magic Guided Bow, Kong’s eyes almost bulged out; he was still using a basic weapon, and this bow was an A-grade Magic Guided Conductor—nearly legendary.

He was startled and instinctively shook his head, ”This...I can’t accept it, it’s too valuable, big master.”

However, to Fang Hong, this item was merely a practice piece, he’s got plenty of them.

Shana requested him to help create a batch of rookie kits; there are inevitably losses during craftsman production, and he asked Shana who generously allowed him to manage the defective items.

Fang Hong always carefully maintained a wastage rate below five percent, but for him, anything not consistently A+ quality basically equaled waste.

He didn’t care about the A-grade Magic Guided Conductor’s market outside, just aiming to satisfy his compulsive tendencies first.

And this bow was a defect from the production process, Ai Xiaoxiao typically chose to use them, so gifting them away didn’t hurt.

This youth named Kong essentially replaced Gita and Luo Yu’s position to arrive in this world; meeting him here certainly had a hint of fortuity.

Yet Fang Hong didn’t truly believe in destiny, only saw a reflection of his past self in the youth.

Seeing Fang Hong didn’t intend to take back the bow, Kong had no choice but to accept the gift—he couldn’t possibly throw such a valuable Magic Guided Conductor to the ground and discard it—he hadn’t mastered that kind of high-end ancient posturing.

While he said he couldn’t accept it, Kong understood the value of this Magic Guided Bow, though it couldn’t compare to their gains from this time, but it’s still worth one or two million Lycel.

This sum for a newcomer like him was already astronomical.

When Fang Hong was at his Level, obtaining two thousand Lycel would leave him thrilled for days.

So much was his excitement that Kong’s palms sweated as he received the Magic Guided Bow, even trembling slightly with it.

But more than anything, he felt grateful to Fang Hong and the others; besides the captain and Miss Shaye, no one had been this kind to him.
