Pillar of Yita

Fang Hong looked back at the scene and couldn’t help but smile bitterly: ”I didn’t intend to kill her.”

”Captain Ade,” the Princess casually flicked the blood droplets off her sword, leaving a trail of blood on the ground, ”Do you trust her enough to keep her?”

”Knock her out, that’s enough.”

Princess Rupert gave him a sidelong glance: ”Your previous behavior didn’t exactly qualify as gentlemanly, and now all the blame falls on me?”

However, she suddenly realized that given her position, she shouldn’t be speaking this way, and her attitude softened slightly: ”Captain Ade, your Miss Nightingale has mentioned more than once, sometimes you’re too soft-hearted, especially in front of women—”

Fang Hong was speechless, wondering what kind of twisted logic this was — it must be Elisa speaking ill of him again.

He shook his head helplessly, it wasn’t what he meant. Killing this woman would mean losing the room for maneuver. Although she had previously attacked the Big Sister of the Dragonfire Guild, there was something odd about the whole thing...

He looked ahead and as expected, Princess Rupert seemed to have stirred up a hornet’s nest. The Dragonfire Guild members were already surrounding her.

Of course, in his eyes, these ragtag individuals were nothing — outside, he would certainly have to flee — but here, with Miss Tata present, these people were just mere numbers to him.

The near thousand Clockwork Fairies he summoned occupied only about a third of the computational power at Miss Tata’s disposal. If he wanted, he could increase that number several times over.

But what truly worried him was the person who threw the spear earlier. Although he had the Energy Angel block that strike easily, the strength of that Energy Angel was nearly comparable to the ones he used against Lifegard before—

The person who threw the spear was undoubtedly formidable.

More importantly, at the moment of the spear throw, he distinctly saw astonishment on the other Dragonfire Guild members. He had a faint suspicion that this hidden individual might not be one of their own.

But thinking about this now was too late, so he whispered to Princess Rupert: ”We must prepare to break through.”

The Princess wielded her longsword, not mentioning the previous matters, and merely nodded lightly.

Fang Hong looked ahead, in the air countless Clockwork Fairies gathered together, forming a massive wave of silver rushing forward.

And the Constructs continued to emerge from the Light Gate behind him, collectively forging a path ahead for the two of them. Even the Dragonfire members on both sides had to make way.

Someone in the crowd screamed: ”Use spell, use spell!”

But it was already too late.

Fang Hong and the Grand Princess seized the opportunity, rushing towards the opening ahead. Someone tried to block their way, but seven or eight beams of light flashed simultaneously around Fang Hong, with Energy Angels stepping out, their sword gleams advancing, forcing the attackers to halt.

Others were stunned, as if finally noticing the peculiarity of the scene: ”How can he control so many Flexible Constructs!?”

”Does Pale Glory have such ability!?”

Upon hearing ’Pale Glory,’ Fang Hong instinctively perked his ears and turned to that direction, puzzled as to how these people knew about his Pale Glory, but suddenly, a low voice rang out:

”That’s not Pale Glory, that’s the power of Dragon Soul.”

Fang Hong turned sharply, that voice—the same voice that incited everyone to kill the Big Sister, as if spoken by the same person.

Just then, he felt an eerie sensation rise from behind, a faint shadow flickered amidst the crowd, just falling into his sight when a sharp wind rushed to his ears.

But the wind did not hit him. With a loud ’clang,’ the bright blade was blocked squarely by a long spear extending from the void. The shadow paused, and Fang Hong saw the figure wielding a knife was a slender man.

His attire surprisingly resembled that of the earlier gray-clad person.

Fang Hong turned to look at the long spear extending from the void, the tall Iron Knight strode out, and he heard sounds of collective gasp.

Someone recognized the identity of the Construct: ”That’s the Dragon Slaying Knight... Xiuma?”

”Can he really use Yoshude’s Dragon Knight?”

The man failed his strike and simply sheathed the knife, stepping back while watching him.

Fang Hong softly thanked Miss Tata beside him: ”Thanks, Miss Tata.” It was Miss Dragon Soul who saved his life; he couldn’t have reacted to that knife strike on his own.

However, with Dragon Soul actively summoning Constructs here, it gave him a unique experience.

Yet as he spoke, the knife-wielding man opened his mouth again: ”So it’s Dragon Soul, I didn’t expect you to truly possess Dragon Soul and even learn how to communicate with it.”

The other paused, glanced at him and smiled — a peculiar smile: ”But ultimately you’re just a newcomer, and since you’ve displayed your Dragon Soul, next, you’ll meet mine.”

As he spoke, he turned to speak into the air, his tone low and cryptic, Fang Hong heard it clearly — it was Dragon Language.

Then suddenly, in the open space between them, the air rippled into circles of waves.

As if something were manifesting.
