Pillar of Yita

”So the condition for entering here,” Fang Hong looked at the slumbering Grand Princess, ”is having a Dragon Soul?”

”You could say that.”

”I am a Dragon Knight, and so is Xing,” Ye Hua looked at Fang Hong: ”You are too. Only a Dragon Knight can withstand the level of spiritual impact under the protection of a Dragon Soul.”

”What about Princess Rupert?”

Ye Hua also glanced over, ”Her situation is different from ours, quite special. As Xing mentioned before, it’s probably a trait within her soul —”

”How do you know?”

But to this question, Ye Hua, uncharacteristically, did not answer.

Instead, at this moment, Fang Hong suddenly heard Miss Tata’s voice, the voice softly said: ”Mr. Knight, when we entered this world before, we passed through a barrier.”

”At that time, to protect you from harm, I blocked your Mind World, so there would be a blank in your memory for a period...”

Barrier?

Fang Hong was slightly startled, and suddenly found this saying somewhat familiar — the World Barrier, isn’t that something you would experience when crossing the ’Gateway’?

Only those whose spirit and will are sufficiently resilient can pass through the Gateway of the First World and enter the Second World.

Such people are those who have reached the pinnacle in one world, level fifty, being the dividing line between two worlds. Aside from another method, using Starlight to cross the ’Gateway’.

But the amount of Starlight is so rare —

Thus, the Super Competitive League, Stargate Port awards quotas to enter the Second World every year, making it especially precious.

He couldn’t help but recall that Red Leaf and the others had not long ago participated in a mission from Stargate Port; the aim was to vie for a quota to the Second World.

However, many things happened afterward, and it was unknown whether the other party still had the opportunity to go to the Second World.

Miya also mentioned taking him to the Second World, but for the Witch of the Sea, she should have her own means. He wasn’t entirely unmoved; after all, beyond that door lay everything he yearned for.

Ultimately, however, he decided to go himself —

Is there a World Barrier between half-plane and the main plane too?

Suddenly, Fang Hong seemed to somewhat grasp Ye Hua’s meaning; if one couldn’t get used to such things, they probably couldn’t reach the Second World naturally.

However, Miss Tata’s words suddenly inspired a strange thought in him.

First World and Second World, Second World and Third World, these individual worlds separated by ’Gateways’ and ’Barriers’, how do they come into being?

Why are there Dragon Souls and Sky Knights in this world, and why can Dragon Souls protect people to pass through World Barriers, from one world, arriving in another world?

Is this a natural rule behind all this, or a law established by someone?

This peculiar idea flashed quickly through his mind.

Then he somewhat nervously asked, ”Miss Tata, are you alright?”

Miss Fairy only spoke now. She must have encountered some trouble earlier; otherwise, given her character, she wouldn’t have waited until now to speak.

He feared that Miss Tata might have suffered some harm because of this —

But Miss Fairy’s response was as concise as always:

”I’m fine.”

Fang Hong breathed out a silent sigh of relief.

This is just a ’World Barrier’ of a half-plane; he couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to actually pass through that ’Gateway’, wouldn’t the soul disturbance between two complete worlds be more severe?

While contemplating, Fang Hong suddenly felt his falling speed slow down.

Just as Ye Hua said, the wind around them disappeared, like the physical laws had changed, an invisible force from below supported them.

The force descended slowly, pulling them in a direction on the island. Fang Hong quickly discerned the landing spot for the group, a place located at the center of the island, in a valley, with the Holy Sanctuary they saw earlier on the other end of the valley.

The valley was encircled by a dense, thriving forest, and the place they landed seemed to have a large open space among the trees.

Fang Hong gazed into the distance at the Holy Sanctuary, guessing that might be the destination.

At this time, their falling speed began to vary; Ye Hua and Xing descended more quickly, the latter alongside Yinhanz’s Type Four, while the former reached out to support Princess Rupert.

One after the other, they passed through the treetops and vanished below.

Fang Hong’s gaze also gently sank, starting to immerse beneath the dense canopy. In no time, a vivid green scenery unfolded before him.

He was a bit bewildered staring at this lush valley when Ye Hua’s voice rose from below:

”Ade, in this direction.”

He looked down to find that beneath the forest clearing, the green crystal they had seen earlier at Kashan Palace was standing there, suspended a few meters above the ground.

A green beam of light was shining from the crystal, guiding him slowly downward, through the thick tangle of bushes, down to the solid ground.

The soil was slightly soft underfoot, as if covered in a thick layer of fallen leaves.

For a moment, Fang Hong was not quite used to the feeling of having his feet on solid ground. He hesitated, then looked at the crystal and said, ”What is this?”

”It’s not solid,” Ye Hua replied: ”It only anchors the coordinates between two worlds. Pale Glory pulls us to this place only.”

Fang Hong still did not understand why Pale Glory possesses such power.

But evidently, Ye Hua didn’t know much either, just shook his head and said, ”This is probably a riddle left by the Numelin Elves, and for the specifics, only the Orlin Gods might know.”

He paused for a moment, then said something identical to what Xing had said before:

”Be careful, they are here too.”
