Pillar of Yita

She stared at Fang Hong, until the latter felt somewhat bewildered.

Fang Hong wondered, why did he have to act mysteriously?

Though Aierna was puzzled for a moment too, she returned to her previous astute demeanor, suspiciously looking at the former, then Fang Hong, before finally speaking:

”Alright, you barely passed the first stage.”

”The first stage?”

”Chairman,” the middle-aged craftsman was also stunned: ”You said it would be a simple assessment?”

Aierna immediately revealed a triumphant look, smiling smugly: ”Simple thinking, if I didn’t say that, would you fall for it?”

The middle-aged craftsman’s mouth hung wide open as he looked at his chairman, his expression even more exaggerated than when Fang Hong answered earlier.

Fang Hong also looked a bit uneasily at this Madam Chairman, finally realizing that she wasn’t stern and rigid—perhaps she had a slight problem with her mind.

But Aierna didn’t care about the two of them, she asked on her own:

”Your answer was good, the basic form of Ether is the element, we bind elements with rules, and thus Alchemy was born. Just as Magicians bind Ether with rules to form magic.

Istania’s Magic Guided Constructs are the ingenious product of combining these two aspects.

We can constrain elemental power within crystals, and naturally, we can store the rules used to constrain magic within crystals as well, thereby designing a unique type of magic crystal—the Mana Storage Crystal.

You said that information is another basic form of Ether beyond elements, perhaps there’s truth to this. So it seems you should have some understanding of Magic Guided Constructs as well.

So let me ask you, what do you think is the most important aspect of manipulating Magic Guided Constructs?”

The middle-aged craftsman couldn’t help but cough.

Though he knew Fang Hong had manipulated the Weaver, firstly, the Weaver is the most basic type among Magic Guided Constructs, not much more complex than the Annihilator QV700.

Secondly, being able to manipulate a type of construct doesn’t necessarily mean a deep understanding of the school’s basic theories.

Just like how they can also manipulate Sword Bearers and Energy Angels, but they may not understand the Kapuka or Dolifen School’s Construct Lord mastery theories.

He reminded: ”Chairman, Mr. Ade is an Alchemist of the Kapuka School.”

”What?” Aierna, greatly displeased, slapped the table: ”Just because he’s an Alchemist of the Kapuka School, does that mean he can look down on our Istania School of Alchemy?”

The middle-aged craftsman stared at her in shock once again.

For a moment, he didn’t understand how she came to such a conclusion.

But Fang Hong wasn’t bothered by their exchange, it’s good that he had certain thoughts on the matter.

The previous remarks from the other party seemed to have inspired him—

’...store the rules used to constrain magic within crystals, and design a unique type of magic crystal—the Mana Storage Crystal.

You said that information is another basic form of Ether aside from elements, perhaps there’s truth to this.’

Isn’t this just the thought process of the Numelin Elves?

Storing information within crystals and storing information in the Magic Array beforehand—

It was as if a flash of insight passed through his mind, and he opened his mouth to answer: ”It’s Constructive Power—”

”Haha!”

Aierna clapped joyfully, squinted her emerald green eyes, as if witnessing her reasoning become reality, delightfully simple and joyful like a little girl:

”Wrong, wrong, the crux of Magic Guided Constructs is Calculative Power.”

The middle-aged craftsman shook his head and sighed.

But he wasn’t blaming Ade.

Alchemy is extensive and profound, even within a single system, crossing schools is like crossing a mountain. But his chairman was truly quite difficult.

However, when Fang Hong heard it, he shook his head:

”No, for Controllers and Main Construct Schools, Calculative Power is merely a threshold.

The requirement for Calculative Power in Magic Guided Constructs is indeed uniquely high, especially after Overload Tactics were invented, more so. But compared to the Fairy Master’s school, Magic Guided Constructs don’t seem to be the one most in need of Calculative Power.

But Constructive Power is different.

When storing information within the crystal and releasing it at that moment, the enormous requirement for Calculative Power is precisely because it needs to reconstruct the original information.

So Constructive Power should be the key here...”

As Fang Hong spoke more, he felt increasingly reasonable.

Isn’t this precisely how Ancient Alchemy was?

Modern Alchemists reviving the techniques of Ancient Alchemy rely on first engraving arrays into crystals, then through Magic Arrays, reproducing the magic skills of Elves.

Precisely due to this, a gigantic amount of Calculative Power is required in actual practice.

But the other’s words inadvertently sparked an idea for him—though reproducing the magic skills of Elves through Magic Arrays is indeed complex. Could it be simplified further, just as the principle of Magic Guided Constructs, by directly storing the spell itself within the crystal?

Then use this method to perform Ancient Alchemy?

As Fang Hong thought, he became somewhat lost in thought.

And Aierna’s smile suddenly froze on her face.

Her face flushed beet red.

Because Fang Hong was right, but who would bother comparing with Fairy Masters?

Fairy Masters are the most extraordinary Combat Artisans, and even in this already small community, they are rare like a phoenix’s feather.

And due to their unique manipulation, ordinary Alchemists wouldn’t consider Fairy Masters as part of regular discussion.

But once brought up, it can’t be ignored either.
