Pillar of Yita

The Sorcerer-Ghoul sneered: ”What do you understand? The Istani people revere death immensely. Their main god is Kamur, who governs shadows, time, and death. The Istani firmly believe that beneath the desert lies the gateway to the realm of the dead, which is the final destination for everyone.”

”Do you think alchemy is the most popular here?” the Sorcerer-Ghoul mocked, ”You don’t really think alchemy is popular everywhere, do you? What’s truly popular here is necromancy. There’s half an Undead Wizard for every ten Istani people, and that’s no exaggeration.”

Fang Hong was still somewhat skeptical of these words until he went out on the street and indeed saw that mysterious figures, just like Tang De, were everywhere—of course, the necromancers walked openly on the streets, and there were even pedestrians who greeted them respectfully. Fang Hong just thought these necromancers draped in thick robes, with turbans around their heads and holding curved magic wands were suspicious.

As for the Sorcerer-Ghoul himself, he was even more remarkable here—

Fang Hong saw more than once that unfamiliar necromancers, upon seeing their group, involuntarily stopped and placed their withered hands on their chests, bowing respectfully to Tang De.

Fang Hong tilted his eyes at the latter, always feeling that the skeleton was looking at him with a proud expression—but after it happened a few more times, he became desensitized. So today, he decided not to even glance at the other party. In any case, no matter what happened, he pretended as if nothing had occurred.

Today’s agenda was to meet with the officials of the VE club.

The counterpart was the high-ranking officials from the Descendants of Flor who came this time, and compared to new entrants like the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team and BBK club backing the Blood Oath Alliance, VE was truly old-school, as one of the two surviving giants from the V.E.M era. Even Fang Hong had long heard of its name.

Under its banner was not only the legendary guild ’Ragnarok’, but also significant influence in at least two other top ten guilds. Saying that the Descendants of Flor represent half of the domestic division is no empty boast. Combined with the other half—Rainbow Alliance—the only ones who can remain neutral among the top ten are Elite.

After all, even Silver Weslan bears the mark of the Rainbow Alliance.

Even VE club sent high-ranking officials to meet him, which shows the importance they place on it. However, Fang Hong wasn’t particularly thrilled about this kind of emphasis. If it weren’t for the Super Competitive League’s involvement, he wouldn’t even have given the other party a chance for this meeting.

Sophie was actually well aware of this.

This Princess of Silver Weslan knew Fang Hong’s character very well—yet the Super Competitive League requested the guild to involve her as an intermediary, hoping she could play a role in resolving the misunderstanding between Fang Hong and the Descendants of Flor. The club couldn’t afford to not give the league this bit of face, so the directive came, and she had no choice but to convey it.

In short, although the Rainbow Alliance and the Descendants of Flor are competitors, there are no conflicts between the major clubs behind them, and the investors have a no-see-no-touch relationship.

Luckily, it seemed Fang Hong noticed her predicament and surprisingly agreed to this meeting. The Princess of Silver Weslan didn’t show it on the surface, but she felt somewhat grateful in her heart—she knew Fang Hong wasn’t giving face to the league, but considering it for her sake.

Otherwise, with his upright nature, he wouldn’t compromise with the Descendants of Flor.

The meeting place was at the Sand Lodge in the center of Tansnier.

This was originally just a modest-sized hotel, but after the Istania Royal Family’s Grand Princess Rupert-Penelope invested in it, it gradually transformed into an alchemy hotel with a contemporary vibe, becoming a beautiful sight in Tansnier.

Aside from affluent merchants and guests, most visitors were tourists from the Stargate. Despite the high prices, it is always bustling, showing that the Grand Princess had unique insight on this, and this business has always been praised by locals.

Moreover, it’s rumored that the Grand Princess is gentle and kind, easy to approach, which makes Fang Hong think of the other party’s sister—Princess Affia—and he can’t help but sigh that they are hardly sisters.

While walking along the palm-lined boulevard by the sea, besides the exotic local vibes on the street, there’s the tall lighthouse visible in the distance—the pyramid-shaped lighthouse stands on the cape that stretches into the clouds, standing at a lofty height of 120 meters, magnificent and regarded as a landmark of Tansnier Port.

Moreover, with a layer of yellow sand hovering in the air, the lower part of the brown-yellow lighthouse appears to hover, as if suspended in mid-air.

This is how the Tansnier Cloud Lighthouse got its name.

And this lighthouse is the headquarters of the ’Eye of Revelation’.

The Revealers are one of the largest astrologer organizations in Colin-Ishurian, with a status similar to the Artisan Association. However, since astrologers are not as mainstream as alchemists, the ’Eye of Revelation’ isn’t as well-known, being a relatively localized organization.

There’s a rumor that the ’Revealers’ have some connection with the ’Star Moon Council’, the latter being the Magic Guided Conductor Union—Luo Yu and Gita are considered nominal ’Star Moon Council’ apprentices—thus the magnitude of the latter is imaginable. Astrologers have historically been intertwined with Magic Guided Conductors and Elementalists, so this possibility isn’t out of the question.

Fang Hong gazed at the lighthouse from afar, and before this thought in his mind subsided, there was a commotion ahead.

He felt a slight surprise and thought, what’s going on now? He wondered if Sophie was right, that no matter where he goes, trouble seems to follow.
