Pillar of Yita

Fang Hong raised his head unexpectedly, looking at the person opposite him.

”The so-called ’pilgrimage’ is not actually a strange tradition but merely an old affair of the Oathkeepers. The pilgrimage of Hero Xiuyuede back then was the same as this. After that, I specifically investigated the documents and found that in the other cultures of Eteliria, there was no such event; only the Oathkeepers have passed down this special case from generation to generation.”

The old man paused and continued: ”Similar to Idus, at Scepter Coast, that place no longer exists. It used to be a territory of an ancient Kingdom. Later, it was under the rule of Colin Ishurian, governed by an ancient Noble family. But over the decades, it is said that the Noble family gradually declined, leaving only a decaying Forest, called Frostwood.”

Fang Hong felt a stir in his heart; he had heard about that place because he happened to have investigated its data. That place was precisely the Rogsel family’s territory.

He had a vague feeling that some clues were surfacing.

And it was only then that the Old Bishop spoke: ”Your actions during the Fenris incident saved countless innocent lives. The residents of Cloud Harbor have no way to express their gratitude; many among them do not even know whether you are dead or alive. But I, who know the inside story, must find you to the south— and tell you the inside story between all this.”

”Actually, before the Fenris incident, the Holy Sanctuary had quite a few critiques regarding Toragotos. In fact, ever since it returned from Scepter Coast, it has not easily contacted again with Milaila’s Believers, us included. It excused itself for being too old to enter Milaila and Ouli’s Holy Domain.”

”Therefore, I’ve always suspected that during its journey to Scepter Coast, something must have happened. In fact, the Lizardmen also believe that the sign of the Third Calamity Star will first be verified in the east.”

He glanced at Fang Hong and added: ”There is another thing; Rolin also came from there.”

Fang Hong was shocked.

But the Old Bishop’s intentions, of course, were not as simple as he mentioned.

The Dark Force active underground in Fenris seemed to verify Guda Suoke’s ancient prophecy, and in the view of the Lizardmen, this ancient prophecy should be validated in the ’Star Patron.’ Tirioan traveled south with the Lizardmen and Kalin Steelbrow, not only to give a warning and reminder.

Moreover, it was to solve the imminent crisis in Fenris.

Though neither of them was clear on what change the identity of this so-called ’Star Patron’ could bring to Fenris. However, for this Old Bishop, it seemed to be the only way to treat a dead horse as if it were alive.

But Fang Hong had absolutely no clue whether he could resolve the crisis in Fenris. He was even unsure whether he himself was the ’Star Patron,’ which was still a complete mystery to him.

Yet he did not directly reject the other party, only expressing that he would continue to investigate along this line of reasoning, as that was originally his objective, and the two were not contradictory. But as for the eventual results, those were naturally unknown.

Fortunately, the other party did not force him, merely nodding to his answer.

Shortly after bidding farewell to the Old Bishop, the Seven Seas Travel Group was finally about to resume their journey westward.

Prior to that, Fang Hong’s uncle and aunt also arrived early, and Fang Hong and Tang Xin immediately faced another storm. However, compared to his cousin’s cunning, Fang Hong was evidently much more honest.

Tang Xin cleverly used Ai Xiaoxiao as a shield, while Zhang Rou was too embarrassed to get angry in front of outsiders— not to mention that she was acquainted with Ai Xiaoxiao’s parents. Faced with this pitiable little girl who blinked innocently at her, she could only glower at Tang Xin behind her, waving her hand to let the matter go.

As for Fang Hong, his luck was evidently not as good.

After quite a heart-to-heart talk, if Su Changfeng had not arrived in time, Fang Hong would have been dragged back to Stargate Port by his aunt— though whether they could actually return was another matter. However, after Su Changfeng presented the memorandum Fang Hong signed with the military and the relevant documents from Stargate Port, Tang Sheng and his wife found no way to oppose them.

No matter how strong Zhang Rou was personally, she could not compete against Stargate Port, especially since Fang Hong violated regulations first, and Stargate Port’s handling of him was legal and compliant.

Thus, she could only privately reprimand Fang Hong well, so that he would remember the lesson for the future.

Nevertheless, as a woman, Zhang Rou was inevitably worried. After earnestly advising Fang Hong for a while, her eyes reddened as she said: ”Your parents entrusted you to us in good condition, if something happened to you, how would we explain to them?”

When his aunt played the emotional card, Fang Hong could only scratch his head, thinking to himself how anything could possibly happen to him that easily, this was Eteliria, not Earth.

Fortunately, the incident finally came to an end after Hilveld arrived.

Fang Hong did not expect Tang Xin to refrain from tattling about his and Hilveld’s matters. So when Zhang Rou first heard that Fang Hong found a girlfriend in Eteliria, she was almost startled out of her eyeballs.

The expression roughly meant: ”Our Pigeon, can actually find a girlfriend?”

However, after a heart-to-heart talk with Hilveld, Fang Hong evidently became not so important from the center of the event. Hence, when Lady Zhang Rou found him and asked about Hilveld, the first thing she said was: ”What will you do about Hilveld when you return to Earth in the future?”
