Pillar of Yita

”Mr. Ade, hello!”

”Mr. Ade, good afternoon!”

”Mr. Johnny, Miss Taosi, hello.”

When Fang Hong walked into the Silver Emu Hall, almost every staff member greeted him proactively. A few days ago, he was a bit overwhelmed and made quite a few embarrassing mistakes, but now he could respond calmly, nodding to each person in return.

The arched hall is on the first floor of the Elfendo Spire. Beyond a long, crescent-shaped front desk, you can access the elevator leading from the first to the thirtieth floor. There are fourteen elevators in total, each capable of carrying twenty-two people simultaneously. Fang Hong stood on the semicircular platform, looking down, seeing a layer of hollowed metal mesh under his feet. Accompanied by the loud rumble of hinges, the elevator began to shakily ascend.

The experience of using this thing is very poor, incomparable to Earth’s elevators. The deafening metallic clash feels as if one is inside a steel workshop. So much so that on Fang Hong’s communicator, Red Leaf’s avatar had to almost scream at him, saying:

”Where are you? My ears are almost deaf.”

Fang Hong nodded empathetically, pointing at his own ear, indicating the same.

”I’m on the elevator.”

Only then did Red Leaf return to the main topic, loudly saying: ”Sister Hongxiu asked me to bring materials for the second half of the year. The batch you previously provided was well-received in the guild. Everyone is asking Sister Hongxiu where she found an artisan master for supplies. But they also asked, why does this artisan master always make ’toys’?”

”Oh, by the way, Sister Hongxiu is Yugudola. You should have met her once—her community ID is Hongxiu Tianxiang, so that’s what we all call her.”

Fang Hong couldn’t help but smile wryly. Anyone who makes something painstakingly would not be happy to hear it described as ’toys’. But given the average level of the main members of Tabopolis, what he previously made could indeed only be considered ’toys’.

But high-quality ’toys’.

”In the second half of this year, I can start making higher-tier Magic Guided Conductors, but our previous contract will need to be renegotiated.” Fang Hong, now very experienced in such matters, directly said: ”I’ll have Miss Atira negotiate with you.”

”Can the quality still be maintained?”

”It should be.”

”It’s too noisy over there, let’s meet later.”

Fang Hong nodded silently.

He put away the communicator. Amidst the ’clang, clang’ roar of the platform, he looked down at the descending shaft beneath the metal mesh. Soon, the platform reached its destination—the twenty-fourth floor, the Hall of Moonlight.

The Elf Miss and the young Natural Historian were waiting for him there.

Atira was rarely in formal attire, her hair tied up, revealing the pointed ears of an elf and a slender neck. She wore a silver, gauzy ritual robe, a thin veil draping over the silver surface, making her look exceptionally dignified and beautiful.

The robe was adorned with emerald green giant trees and sun, moon, and stars, part of the creation myth of the Forest Temple. The giant tree was the favorite of Goddess Aimeya in the present world. The robe draped down to the floor, with clouds encircling three worlds.

The first layer is Eteliria.

The Elf Miss approached, holding a ritual staff. Fang Hong happily looked at her and couldn’t help sincerely praising: ”Miss Atira, you look truly beautiful today.”

”Because this banquet is specially held for Brother Ade,” Gita softly explained beside him, her face slightly red, like a cute apple: ”Sister Atira has been preparing for a long time; she normally doesn’t attend such occasions.”

Fang Hong nodded, the Elf Miss hadn’t attended the last banquet.

”Gita also looks beautiful.”

Two blushes spread across Gita’s cheeks. ”Th-thank you.” She quickly stammered, looking down and tugging at her linen robe, pretending to adjust her enormous glasses.

Atira carefully looked him over, scrutinizing him from top to bottom, confirming there were no flaws on him, then asked, ”I heard Mr. Diket left you a letter?”

Fang Hong then remembered the matter, nodding: ”Mr. Diket mentioned in the letter that he went to Idus ahead of us and would wait for us to meet there.”

”Ade, when are you planning to leave Fanric?”

”Very soon. I plan to announce it at the banquet.”

After his recovery, the Elfendo Council, intending to express gratitude on behalf of Fanric, sincerely invited him to stay and learn and communicate with the local alchemists.

But rather than learning and communicating, it was more like meeting with the Council’s masters one after another—after all, following the Nikopolas incident, those who participated in that battle naturally recognized the potential of this young man.

This rising future star of the Colin Ishurian Alchemy Realm certainly stirred people’s desires to lend a hand from behind. Including Phales, many Grand Artificers planning to leave after the competition stayed behind to see just how far Fang Hong could go.

During the time of the Thornfish People’s incursion into the Long Lake District, the gathering of alchemists became a celebrated event in Colin Ishurian. Even several Artisan Masters traveled deliberately from elsewhere to join this occasion.

After all, the top figures of various schools rarely get the chance to meet a few times over the years.

Fang Hong met more and more masters.
