Pillar of Yita

As the other party resolutely embraced the Combat Artisan.

She was still smug about her Dual-System Mastery.

Indeed, it brought her considerable fame, but it also stopped her from reaching the final path. Virus understood early on that the Bifrost was her greatest work, her limit was there. So she gave up the idea of advancing beyond the level of a craftsman early on and focused solely on training the next generation of artisans for Elite.

The outside world praised her for being passionate about the Super Competitive industry, which she hypocritically didn’t refute, but deep down, she understood the real issue. Therefore, none of her students was a Dual-System Artificer like her, nor did people consider them her true heirs.

When the Clockwork Fairy flew over the original place for the second time, the fog was still a blank.

Su Changfeng’s voice came through the communication channel: ”Everyone, any findings?”

”No discovery from Third Street to the dock area.”

”Nothing over here either.”

”It’s like it vanished.”

”Even the Fishmen are retreating.”

But people were waiting for a final answer.

Virus gazed quietly for a moment, her gaze sweeping over the waterborne shadows reflecting the sky, with several blocks empty, only floating logs and debris. She answered with her usual cold tone:

”No.”

After a moment, two Elfendo Grand Artificers also responded with the same reply.

Su Changfeng inexplicably put down the Communication Crystal in his hand.

Everyone around him was looking in this direction, the fog in front was empty, barren.

The crowd stood on a long dam built by Elementalists of the earth element, with four such long dams in total, each spaced a hundred meters apart, and not far behind was Roman’s Holy Sanctuary submerged in water.

Revived people gathered on the steps, watching this direction anxiously in silence, with some bowing their heads in prayer. The first three dams had all been severely damaged, and the dam was packed with injured people, but the giant creature in the fog had already disappeared.

As if it had never existed.

”Could it be that the Fishmen retreated?” someone asked.

But no one answered, just as no one understood what the headless and tailless attack was all about.

Ditke also laid down his sword, glanced at Su Changfeng next to him: ”Have we met before?”

Su Changfeng nodded.

He recalled his younger days when he just missed the epic war, but he didn’t feel regretful for that, since he always believed a soldier’s duty was to guard peace, not start wars. His first encounter with the Stargate was during the signing of the Suva Declaration.

Thirty years had passed in a blink.

”It’s said Koras was born in the mist and has the ability to traverse it,” Diket said.

”Do you think it has left too?”

Diket shook his head.

Su Changfeng frowned, pondering for a moment, then slowly picked up the crystal and entered a number.

Fang Hong looked at those Clockwork Fairies in mid-air.

He wasn’t worried about the Fishmen discovering his Clockwork Fairies. As a major group, the Nether had documented on them too — it stated that Fishmen have unique eye structures, making them highly sensitive to light refraction underwater, but naturally nearsighted on land, significantly reducing their perception.

Moreover, Thornfish People are natural red-green colorblind. They rarely leave the water to fight, and invading Fanric wasn’t a wise move for them. Even on land, Fishmen faced many restrictions. Of course, this applied even in the shallows.

His Communication Crystal lit up in red.

Fang Hong picked up the crystal while watching the front, where a team of adventurers was wading across from the middle of a street.

”How is it on your side?” Su Changfeng asked.

”Alright, we’re almost at the destination,” Fang Hong replied. He suddenly paused, looked ahead, and said: ”Hold on, it seems like mist is rising. There might be Fishmen Hydromancers active nearby.”

The dense fog rolled in from the south, and Fang Hong watched it engulf several blocks in an instant.

He hurriedly waved in that direction, trying to catch their attention, but the adventurers there didn’t see it. They were trying to enter the Fishmen’s view, drawing attention for Baijia. As for Baijia’s position, Fang Hong couldn’t see it anymore.

The street quickly turned into a vast white expanse.

”Fog?” Su Changfeng’s voice tightened with tension over the Communication Crystal: ”Wait, be careful—”

Before he could finish, Fang Hong heard a deafening roar.

He was stunned, lifting his head to possibly witness the most terrifying sight of his life: it was as if a skyscraper fell straight down from the sky, with silver-gray skin, covered in fine steel scales, suddenly emerging from the swirling mist, striking the front block, causing a series of buildings to collapse into ruins.

But that was no skyscraper; it was a head, as large as half a block. Fang Hong saw clearly, half the creature’s head buried in dust, with a giant eye fixed directly on him through the mist.

What is that—

His mind went blank.

Moments later, a white wave, pushed by the shockwave, swept over. Fang Hong instinctively dove to a high platform beside him, but the water still drove him back.

Until a hand reached from the side, pulling him forcefully out of the water, but just as Fang Hong was regaining his senses, that hand gave him a hard push, sending him in another direction. Fang Hong looked up to see it was Hilveld who had pulled him, but the noble lady was turning back—another giant head emerged from the mist there.
