Pillar of Yita

His own teacher witnessed the helplessness of a friend who once fought alongside him, now straying from their ideals.

And each person caught in the whirlpool, powerless to control their own destiny.

The resistance on Mount Holy Pact seemed to have turned into a seed of fire within his heart, and when that seed fell into the darkness, it ignited a flame of creation—a flame that, in that moment, the Legendary Inspiration on the Dragon Slaying Holy Sword flowed gently into his heart.

The name of that inspiration.

Was called sorrow.

Fang Hong almost involuntarily recalled a conversation in the Hall of Thousand Doors, a conversation that couldn’t have been more brief:

”Mr. Anluose, since creating legendary items doesn’t actually require inspiration, what is the use of Legendary Inspiration?”

Mierliu Ximi Si turned back to look at him, their gaze somewhat serene.

He only replied softly:

”Using such inspiration to forge legends is just a waste.”

Fang Hong once did not understand the meaning of these words.

But now he did.

He turned back, looked at his Soul Fingerprint and Zheng Yongzai, and said:

”Let’s begin.”

The two were surprised to see that in Fang Hong’s eyes, there seemed to be a peculiar glow flickering.

They were not mistaken.

Because that light not only came from the inspiration surging in Fang Hong’s heart at that moment.

But it also seemed like a door in his Mind World opened, where Tata softly called his Knight, yet waves of mental ripples seemed to shield all sound.

At the same moment that the design flashed through Fang Hong’s mind.

In a place he had not perceived, deep within his Mind World a ripple arose, like a small consciousness awoke at a time it shouldn’t have.

It was a pair of—

Golden eyes.

The competition proceeded quickly.

Although each person’s work was extremely complex, this was only a competition, not real craftsmanship. Therefore, contestants only needed to establish a rough concept, and after verifying it, they could pass the review.

Otherwise, not just a quarter of an hour, even weeks of dozens of people working together might not genuinely complete making a real Main Construct.

Besides, even with time.

With their current level, Fang Hong and Rolin could not possibly fully create a Pseudo Dragon Knight.

Under such circumstances, Rolin’s team’s work was obviously completed a little faster, as they set up the framework first, sorted out the basic system, and finally just needed to put the inscribed array and the purified Core Crystal into place.

Then it would be a complete success.

But just as Rolin took the Crystal from Linen and prepared to place it into the chest cavity of the Main Construct, he suddenly heard a commotion.

Or rather—

He hadn’t even had time to hear the commotion when he had already felt a sense of unbelievable agitation from the bottom of his heart.

He almost shivered, letting the Crystal fall from his hand, crashing inside the Main Construct’s cavity—it was fortunate the height wasn’t high, leaving only a shallow scratch on the Crystal.

Yet Rolin paid almost no attention to this at all.

He didn’t even have the mind to pick up the Crystal, just turned around abruptly, staring wide-eyed in the direction behind him.

Beside him, Linen and another young man were completely petrified as well, motionlessly watching Fang Hong’s movements on the other side of the arena.

But there was no Main Construct there at all, the arena was nothing but empty—

Right next to Fang Hong, Zheng Yongzai and Soul Fingerprint were also dumbfoundedly looking at Fang Hong’s creation: but it was no Main Construct, it was a glove glowing with a dark red light.

Or rather, it was a massive piece of Arm Armor.

Like the giant claw of a demon born from the Netherworld of hell, it lay silently on the table.

It still lacked one final part—

Fang Hong seemed oblivious to others’ gazes, only turned back and said: ”Plate No. 45.”

Zheng Yongzai, trembling slightly, handed over the final material.

Fang Hong took it without concern, with a ’snap’ attached it to the Arm Armor, swiped his hand, and a Golden Flame, the shell completely fused as before. Then he stepped back as if everything was accomplished.

”Ade, there’s still no Main Core Crystal…”

Soul Fingerprint couldn’t help but gently remind him.

But even so, she felt an inexplicable throbbing, like a heartbeat. It quivered slightly, as if a voice in her head told her—the work was already finished.

Fang Hong silently watched his creation, his eyes seeming to carry a hint of pale golden glow at the moment, so faint it was nearly imperceptible. He stood still, softly replied:

”No, it’s already done.”

He then slightly smiled, reached out his hand.

The chrysalis breaking open in his mind seemed to completely overlap with his current state of mind.

Zheng Yongzai fared slightly better, whereas Soul Fingerprint couldn’t help but step back a little, she almost had an illusion at that moment, as if seeing a pair of black dragon wings.

Unfolding slowly in front of her.

And upon closer inspection, it was merely a black array unfolding in Fang Hong’s hand.

Seeing this, a collective low gasp came from the viewing stand of the Elfendo Council—Ancient Alchemy, and it was much simpler than what Cui Yu and Dill had demonstrated.

In that instant, people had already realized, where the Ancient Alchemy within the Ragnarok team had actually come from.
